      I am SOOOO Ohappy you liked it! The practice board is another great perspective on the techniques incase it was hard to see on the actual face.

    Beautiful princess. I will be placing this design on my phone. It does look like it would take a little more time than an OTJ but looks great for slower events

      Once you get the backward teardrops down you can do this design in about 3.5 minutes

    It's so pretty! I'm just starting face painting but I think I'm pretty quick. Still it always seems like the kids are ready to be done and want to rush off before I can take enough time to do a pretty design like this! Perhaps I need to consider where I put my setup at parties so they're not sitting there watching all their friends playing lol.

      I can understand that some kids can be impatient, but a good setup is key. For a long time I used a large makeup bag/box instead of a Craft N Go, and with a more clean setup kids AND parents take you more seriously. Here is a link to the makeup box www.amazon.com/shop/radiantartinspirations

    I love so many of the designs on this channel. I'm going to try this one next week!
    I always wonder though - who is the amazing artist that does these? I don't think they've ever been introduced on camera? Please tell them they're amazing!

    Are those diamantes specifically for the face or just ordinary sticky craft gems? Absolutely in love with this design xx

      You can either stick the gems on individually with body glue or you can make your own gem clusters. Here is a video on how to make your own. ruclips.net/video/BVP7K-46DXI/видео.htmlsi=yZBzC3Yfx6N8D4Ni&t=404

    Thank you for the videos! Do you take cheaper colours or watercolours for practising on the practise board?
    Of course not the splitcakes, but the others?

    • @FacePainting101
      @FacePainting101  2 года назад +1

      I have collected so many paints over the years so I usually practice with the colors that I don't really like or the brands that are not strongly pigmented.

    When lining over one-strokes are we reloading the brush after every line? 😱
    I just received my first Fusion one-stroke pallet yesterday and when I try lining with white over the dry one-stroke layer, my paint gets muddy really fast. Am I doing something wrong or is that normal?
    Should I just be rinsing and reloading my brush often when going over one-strokes?

    • @FacePainting101
      @FacePainting101  Год назад +1

      It might be because you have too much water on the brush. Another technique you can try is spraying the paint with a spray bottle while your brush remains dry. Try loading your brush like that and see how you like the results.
      Using splitcakes can be a little hard at first, but with a bit of practice it will be second nature!

      @@FacePainting101 I am having a little bit of trouble finding the balance between my paintbrush dripping and dragging.
      Sometimes I think I have loaded the brush right but it feels like I have to re-load more often than I see you doing, and I don’t feel like my paint strokes are coming out as saturated as yours are 🤔
      I am using Fusion white from my one-stroke pallet while I wait for my Wolfe white single to come in. I am also using a Royal and Langnickel round #4 brush while I wait to put in an order for actual face painting brushes. Could either of these be affecting my load?
      It’s hard to tell if I am overthinking/being impatient with myself or if I am doing something wrong 🤔
      I will keep practicing, and being patient 😅

    • @FacePainting101
      @FacePainting101  Год назад +1

      It will take some time to find the perfect balance of paint to water ratio. I wish I could tell you what is perfect but it is hard to gauge at first and also climate plays a big role ( humid vs dry locations).
      As for the saturation, 2 things.
      1. Make sure to REALLY load your brush. Make sure your brush is eating the paint! LOL .
      2. Sometimes certain Fusion split cakes do not have as strong as a pigment as other brands - such as Arty Cake by Sillyfarm. SO you can try something new, or look at point 1.
      Some brushes don't take in a lot of paint (I have hundreds of brushes sitting in a drawer because they didn't meet my standards). And I have not tried the brands you have mentioned above. My favorite #4 brush is the Mark Reid Round.
