I am very pleased with my purchase and can see that I definitely made the right choice to go for your product, I really struggled to decide between Fjällräven Friluft and the Jäkääri M. Hey Savotta, I love this backpack! I even improved it by building an Aluminium frame for it, very similar to the one of the Jääkäri L. The tube has a smaller diameter, though, but it is stiff enough. It weighs even 30 g less than the Ethylen plate.
I ... think I have found my new pack. I have been searching for years for something with the versatility of military modularity ( molle ) and the ergonomics and comfort of a hiking pack. This may be the one. Not too big, and does not add all the weight at the top of your back. Too many small packs are too wide with no hip belt, if you have upper back, neck or shoulder issues a hip belt is very important . Thank you for the demonstration !
Retkeilykäytössä jääkäriä käyttäny hiihtäessä, patikoidessa, pyöräillessä, järjestelmäkameran, ja isojen objektiivien kanssa. Hyvin muokkautuu moneen käyttöön, ja on mukava pitää varustuksesta, ja lajista riippumatta.

Päivärepuksi tarkoitettu mutta niin hyvä että olen ollut viikon vaelluksella Lapissa tämä selässä täysin ongelmitta. Kestää isältä pojalle ja maailman ääriin ja takaisin eli on kehunsa ansainnut siinä mielessä. Seuraavaan malliin kannattaa suunnitella irrotettava lantiovyö, parempi vesitiiviys ja enemmän remmiä + tilavammat särmäysnauhat niin säästyy tee-se-itse henkeä muihinkin projekteihin. Ja vielä näin sivumennen kysyn korjauksen mahdollisuuksista, kantokahva on nimittäin alkanut kiviä kanniskellessa repsottaa ikävästi. Repun malli on vuodelta 2017.

Tuo reppu on todella hyvä, ehkäpä paras mitä olen tuossa kokoluokassa kantanut. Ainoa asia mitä muuttaisin tuossa on nuo sivutaskut juomapullolle, ne ovat liian matalat. Esim. Kenttäpullon tapainen ei pysy tuossa taskussa.
Olen tyytyväinen. Mukava kantaa selässä ku oltiin skitouraamassa. Kypärä, nousukarvat ja muut varusteet mahtu hyvin reppuun. Sain vedettyä irti repusta toisen kompressiohihnan kiristäessä sitä. Savotta korjasi sen heti. Pakko sanoa, että tyytyväinen olen tuotteeseen ja palveluun. Ehkä pitää itse modifioida tosta vanhan mallisesta lantiovyöstä , että saa samanlaisen lantiovyön kiristyksen kun tuossa päivitetyssä versiossa.
Muille retkeilijöille helpotusta tuottamaan , vastaa ensin kysymykseen retkeiletkö yleensä 1-2 päivää vai useampia kerrallaan. Jos vastasit useampia kerrallaan niin L tai XL on valinta. Tällä M:llä menee komeasti pari ehkä kolmekin päivää riippuen minkälaiset lisätaskuhärpäkkeet hommaa. Lisätaskuilla meinaan pystyy kasvattamaan repun tilavuutta usealla kymmenellä litralla parhaimmillaan.
Would like to get this pack, but there is one thing that holds me back : A zipper on each side instead of just on one side so that you can open up the front like the Fjellraven Kajka, and The Eberlestock Fac Track Pack. Would you ever consider making the packs with that feature?🙏 Then I would buy the M and the L for sure. Really like the thought of the possibility to move the hipbelt up and down for a perfect fit as it is hard to find packs that fit me well when it comes to hipbelt. Cheers Chris

Moro, Savotan jääkäri on ostoslistalla mutta oon nyt jäänyt jumiin M ja L koon välillä. Pitäis löytää reppu/rinkka millä viitsii käydä emännän kanssa päiväreissun mutta kuitenkin riittää kapasiteetti lähteä yksin pitkäksi vkl reissuun eli silloin mukaan pitäisi saada jo majoitus,nukkumis ja ruokailu yms vermettä. Kumpaa suosittelitte?
Oikean koon valintaan vaikuttaa hyvin paljon valitsemasi varusteet, vaatteet, ruoat ja nesteet. On hankalaa antaa yleispätevää neuvoa siitä, minkä kokoinen reppu sopii muutaman päivän retkeilyyn tietämättä esim. sääolosuhteita. Jääkäri M repussa tilaa riittää hyvin esim. kesävarusteille ja aina lisätilaa voi tuoda irtotaskuilla. Suosittelen kartoittamaan tarkemmin kuinka paljon tilaa varusteesi vaativat ja tekemään päätöksen siltä pohjalta.
Is is possible to Adjust (torso length / shoulder width) for internal framed Jaakari S, M, L size? For external framed Jaakari xl, is also (torso length / shoulder width) adjustable??
Hi. None of the Jääkäri packs feature adjustable shoulder harness width. On the XL the torso length is fully adjustable, on the L you can move the hip belt up or down by 5 cm to roughly adjust the torso length.
Hello Savotta. I just received my Jääkäri M. Do you have any suggestions waht to do with the dangling web on the hip belt? How to attach this teh best way so i dont get caught in the woods?
Kankaassa on vahva PU-pinnoite, mikä pitää hyvin vettä, mutta repun saumoja ei ole teipattu. Reppu siis hylkii hyvin vettä, mutta ei ole täysin vedenpitävä.
@@andrewvince4007 i ended up purchasing the Large as it had some adjustment to the hip belt. I was able to lower the hip belt to its lowest setting and it fit my 21” torso well. It seems to work quite well.
Very nice overall, but the belt should be wider in my opinion with a second row of MOLLE to attach rifle magazines and pouches, etc. like the Jaakarai L.

I have the older model, and I can say that the new waist belt cinching arrangement looks MUCH better. Great pack in any case.

Why couldn’t the front zipper and side water bottle pouch be on the Jaakari large😓
Mostly the reason is the structure and history of the backpack. This structure comes from the Border Patrol rucksack which the Jääkäri L is based on.

It’s about 40cm from the middle of the pillow to begin of shoulder straps.

Seems heavy, even comparing to tacticals (understand, model is Panzer). Pros: waist belt seems very big positivity, its rare in 30 L segment

Mitenkäs hyvin tuo pitää sadetta? Pitääkö olla erillinen sadesuoja repulle?
