- Pettorano sul Gizio in Abruzzo in provincia dell'Aquila, a pochi chilometri da Sulmona, è un borgo che mi ha letteralmente incantato, spero che con questo video da me realizzato , possiate apprezzarne la sua bellezza e magari possa convincervi ad andare a visitarlo, perché ne vale letteralmente la pena.

Un borgo meraviglioso di grande interesse e di straordinaria bellezza,dove arte,cultura,e tradizioni si mescolano in un labirinto di storia e suggestivi valori.In una natura forte e incontaminata fa di Pettorano sul Gizio un borgo speciale e significativo.Complimenti un video davvero unico...max da Sora

My maternal grandfather, Vincenzo Checca, was born in Pettorano sul Gizio in 1894 and immigrated to the USA in 1910. In 1914, he returned to Italy to fight in the Italian army during WW1 (Don't ask me why.). After the war, my grandfather returned to the USA never to return to Italy. I visited Petorano sul Gizio in 2013. It appears to have changed little since my grandfather's time. My original plan was to retire to Italy when I retire at the end of 2026 as I have UK citizenship. However, BREXIT threw a spanner into my plans. I'm now planning to retire to Argentina.
