This hood is the best welding hood I’ve ever used and I I’ve them all.. This helmet is so well balanced and comfortable!! And I have both this the pano, speedglas g5-01 and g5-02
Same lens technology we personally like the way this one fits for regular welding. Helix is ideal for hard hat areas and Pano for someone looking for that up close wide view. Any other questions please let us know.
Hey! It is not new just an updated review/video! Still the same awesome technology! They do have the new Helix and IsoFit is new but the Crystal 2.0 is the same and still awesome!
The front of a welding hood should be an industrial stereo camera, or similar device. Then the real-time images are projected to an inner OLED screen. So, is it not possible to design/make a virtual reality welding helmet. No arc flashes, or other visual problems would be induced. $600.00 CAN for such a thin plastic helmet is really outrageous, considering all the advancements in robotics and contact/sharing of other alien species tech. Why make helmets for humans that really don't have proof of arc protection ? Where's the light meter ( not Chinese ) that shows complete blockage of harmful rays ? Don't design a helmet around human vision, but make robotic vision to serve human eyes, and protect them. THEN... charge $600.00 . Oops, it's America...Buffalo Bill still calls the shots...
PURE BLAH, BLAH, BLAH AND NO ACTION, NO FILMING THRU THE LENS AND NO ACTUAL WELDING... EXCUSE US... WHAT IS THE HELMET USED FOR..? OH! COOKING, CLEANING AND TALKING? WHAT A WONDERFUL REVIEW MARTHA...
I have a few Optrel hoods.. I love the grind feature, but hat the dinky little switch that sticks! Definitely needs to be redesigned .

Thanks guys! 😍
Can you wear a half mask respirator with them or does it get pretty tight?
There's plenty of room for a respirator
Can the battery be replaced?
Yes right inside the helmet you can replace them
What shade/lense are you using?
Anyone have an opinion on how the viewing clarity and color compare to the current Lincoln 3350 hood?
The Crystal has a more clear view. (Definitely more expensive but in our opinion if you do a lot of TIG welding it is worth the investment)
@@BakersGas , awesome, thanks for the info! I’ll be placing my order.
It is honestly night and day. I have a 3350. My crystal 2.0 blows it out of the water
@@Scottygrape3 thanks for the response, great information!!!
Is the crystal lens in this helmet better than the Panoramaxx CLT or Helix CLT or are they the same?
Any thing that has CLT from optrel has the crystal lens, so it’s the same.

I have the previous model, how does this one compare?

Anyone in here have any discount codes for OPTREL?
only lasted 40 months, has 3 year warranty NOT WORTH THE MONEY
What failed on it? I currently have the pano clt.
