I don't wanna get into the whole 'better than the original' debate. It's pointless, and it's all in the ears of the beholder anyway. I will say this: I like it, and the structure of the song actually fits well with what the brothers do. I''m sure Paul Simon would be flattered to know these guys are covering him in live shows.
Respectable cover but they struggled to hold a note on "A good daaaayyyyy". They had to pull away from the mic to mask the breaking of their voices. Not remotely close to the subtle emotion and flawless delivery of Paul Simon's original. I think there are people who love this band deeply so they think they sound better than they are: Phish or Grateful Dead come to mind. Their flaws become evident when they cover other material.
