Thank you so much for your educational videos! I was wondering when Nike was created who decided that it it would be pronounced Nikee instead ok Nik. Is it a contraction of two words?

It is so useful to learn how to pronounce household brands correctly! Can you imagine asking for help at the store and people don't really understand what you're looking for?! Learning how to say these brands correctly is way more useful than learning how to pronounce "Chanel" "Dior" and "Louis Vuitton", that's for sure 🤣
Thanks ❤
That's wonderful. Beneficial video. 🇧🇩

Mam, when you teach to pronounce 'needed' you say 'needid', but when you pronounce the same word in a sentence, you say, 'They needed a break'. I am totally confused about your pronunciation system. Please clarify it.

I've known Nike is pronounced [naık], now ....!? [Naıkı]
For me this a hard lesson 😢
You're saying [Sha:rmEn] but it's SharmIn
Such an inconsistent language which goes to show all of the influences coming from other languages over the centuries
