I am glad that you are teaching about good manners, something rarely taught in today's society. I think Audrey Hepburn was the epitome of high class elegance; because she not only dressed beautifully and held herself elegantly, and spoke beautifully. She was also kind, gentle and gracious! ❤
I think we've all experienced seeing a beautiful..impeccably dressed woman and been "impressed" only to have her open her mouth and use foul language or berate a waitress... estimation plunges to zero ..treating someone with kindness and respect..no matter who they are is the very foundation of an elegant woman ..
Respect has to be earned. If someone is out of line, I will set them straight, regardless of who's watching. Nobody treats me with disrespect, and gets away with it without a response. Even if it doesn't correct their behavior, my response sends a strong message, and I could care less how my response is viewed. Nobody makes a door mat of me.
That is why so many women are "catty" and back stabbing because they don't want to seem rude however they are seething with anger and resentment and that comes out with underhanded things they do to get even. Acting elegant doesn't mean you are DOING elegant behind the scenes. People are fooled by "actors".
I wanted you to know that you are truly missed. I hope everything is fine and you are taking a well deserved rest. We all will be here when you return. You add that "je ne sais quoi" to our day (and lives).
I am grateful to find this beautiful channel, love you
