Back then, it was a big deal when people live together. It was kind of a secret that Gelli and Ariel were already living together and it was reported that Gelli was almost hysterical and won’t give Ariel’s belongings to him [his passport, for example]. Ariel and Regine fell in love because they were singing together and had amazing chemistry. I personally think Ariel and Regine broke up because Ariel couldn’t handle the backlash and he also realized that Gelli was really fighting for him. I think Regine gave up way too easily and maybe it was because she was also affected by the backlash and her career would have suffered. Nagalit si Gelli because Regine’s suppose to be her friend. They used to hang out together with Ogie. Now, about the same time that Regine and Ariel were doing a show together, Regine knew that Ariel and Gelli were having problems, so instead of acting as a good friend to them both and help them to patch things up, she took that as a chance to act on what she'd always wanted...Ariel! In other words ”Sinulot” ni Regine si Ariel. Gelli just felt betrayed by Regine, and it took a while for Ariel to get Gelli’s trust back. She made him suffer!
I knew this because I am close to one of them and I will not mention which one. Regine is very remorseful because she knew she betrayed her friend.
I felt bad for Ogie, because he missed Gelli for a while and he was stuck in the middle.
I'm just glad they're all happy now and have their own lives.
Ric3 Momma this! Funny how people defend Regine like she’s a saint. Don’t villainise the wife simply because you’re a fan. This was real life and a marriage with kids. I like R as a singer but she was the unethical one in this scenario - her and Ariel. It’s good that it ended fine but when someone is married, no matter the issues, women should steer clear.
