In this video, we drive from Abha to explore the stunning scenery of Wadi Lajab and Faifa Mountain in the southern parts of Saudi Arabia. After descending into Wadi Lajab via a narrow, gravel road, we were greeted by lush green trees, towering cliffs on either side, and a running streams with lots of rock pools. It was one of the most beautiful walks we have ever done and a must-see location in Saudi Arabia. Be prepared to get wet feet because of all the water in the wadi. Ella enjoyed a refreshing swim in a few of the rock pools. After 5 hours of exploration in Wadi Lajab, our road trip continued towards Faifa Mountain, which is known for its tall, steep and green mountains. Our destination was location with watchtowers surrounded by beautify scenery. We did not realize how adventurous this drive was going to be, along steep narrow roads through small villages located on the terraced mountain sides. We only just reached our destination before the Saudi Border Police turned up to let us know that the area we were currently in was not suitable for tourists due to its close proximity to the Yemen border. However, the two guys were very friendly and told us to enjoy the views for 10-20 minutes now that we were there and that they would wait for us at the top of the road to escort us in the right direct on our ongoing journey to Jazan. We had a fantastic day and a perfect place to visit for nature lovers. We can highly recommend Wadi Lajab and Faifa Mountain, although better to keep a bit more distance to the Yemen border than we did ☺

Dear Brother, I am from Pakistan. I lived in Saudi Arabia for some time. There are a lot of things to discover in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, there are a lot of places which have great potential for tourism. Prince Ibne Salman's social reforms will open venues for tourism in Saudi Arabia. The Prince is transforming a strict Wahabi kingdom into a moderate Muslim kingdom. I personally appreciate his reforms.

We are from Faifa mountains . We always love the guests and welcome them and give them from the best we have . Faifa never had attack from yemen for over 200 years now as they always get defeated because how difficult are the mountains and the amount of watchtowers and they armed to the teeth. All the attacks recently were from the south border by the cost as its easier and a lot more approachable for them. The roads in Faifa now have gone %100 better but still dangerous at some point specially for people always drove on big highways and got used to the city driving. Hope you guys enjoyed your little trip there 😃

This is Wadi Lajab in the Jazan region. It is best to visit it in the winter and early fall. The weather will be very wonderful, much better than it is now.
Would definitely like to visit in other seasons! The area is so beautiful!

Loved Wadi Lajab, although fell off a big rock and my husband had to catch me!! Faifa is stunning, our friends found a local chief to give us a tour which was incredible. Black Mountain was also beautiful. Make sure you go SCUBA diving in Farasan while you're in Jizan - it's stunning!!
It was definitely tricky to walk around! But so worth it to see the beauty. Will definitely have to go to Black Mountain! We went to Farasan. We are not divers. Enjoyed relaxing on the beach and going for a swim. Video coming soon! Thanks for watching 🙏

Wow that was beautiful and very interesting...Always something different traveling with "The Jo's".. Those rock faces way up on the sides were truly beautiful I must say. Hope you were able to dry up quick. Also very interesting for me was all those houses and the terraces . Think of all the digging hours to make those terraces. A remarkable place to see. Cant say I would feel safe on those roads myself. Thanks so much for the trip. Oh yes....there seemed to be something missing...Hmmmm...Oh yes. NO EATING!!!!!..ha ha. Thanks Jo's.

That was an amazing video as always. Faifa is best to visit in spring, the green misty mountains are absolutely breathtaking. There’s also another section in Wadi Lajab that is a bit trickier to hike but with more amazing paths.
