Rustenburg Girls' Junior School interview with Cape Town TV DSTV Channel 263- Tag Rugby

In the wake of the Springboks triumphant victory at the Rugby World Cup, the fervor for rugby has reached new heights across South Africa. This surge in enthusiasm provides a unique opportunity to channel this energy into supporting grassroots rugby, particularly among young girls. One such initiative that deserves attention is the involvement of Tag Rugby at Rustenburg Girls' Junior Schools. Beyond the celebration of the Springboks success, it is essential to recognize and bolster the significance of encouraging girls participation in sports, fostering teamwork, and promoting physical well-being. On Tuesday the 14th of November, Rustenburg Girls’ Junior School played against Panaroma Girls (u10 -u 13) in a game
of tag rugby. This is the first in Cape Town schools, and we aim to build awareness and promote girls’ sportsmanship.
