I’m very impressed by the sound quality of the pathfinder. Compared to my Solaris the pathfinder had better micro details and better bass. Voices are more in front of the sound stage compared to the Solaris. Love it!
tnx for video 1) Did you test "Melody mest mk2" & "Monarch Mk2" ?? which one is better?? Regardless of the price , if you want to choose one, which one would you take?? 2) Astell&kern pathfinder is better than above iems ??
I've only heard to Mest Mk2 once or twice and am not super-confident in my impressions of it. My general thought is that Mest Mk2 gives you a more immersive experience, btu the Monarch MK2's general tuning is top notch. As far as Pathfinder, some might prefer the tuning of Monarch MKII over Pathfinder, but to my ears the imaging and soundstage are much better on Pathfinder, particularly the vocals.
The overall tuning is somewhat similar. I think they've fixed some of the perceived issues with the upper mids from the Solaris, and also improved the soundstage and imaging somewhat.
How do they compare to Campfire Black Star? I have Pathfinder in my collection, but there is no way to listen to Black Star in my country. There are no comparisons anywhere online. please help
A good review overall, comprising of all aspects. Would like to know if these IEM's are good with portraying all the details consisting in a track, especially a busy track. I listen to lot of Asian/Indian music that has different scales of sound in a single track itself. Thanks.
What A8000 does that's really unique is that blend of ultra-fast resolving response with a natural timbre and cohesive sound. Pathfinder and U12t both get close on the resolution, but Pathfinder has a slightly warmer character, and U12t has that extra bit of spaciousness along with the low-end boost, while A8000 leans slightly bright.
Looking at that cable design... please tell me it's not built the same way as many RCA pair cables were it's always at risk of "peeling" into two separate strands 😱
With the sturdiness of the cable, you'd need to work pretty hard to get that to peel. It's also capped off at the potential weak points, so there's additional hardware in place.
They're very different in a lot of ways. I find the Pathfinder to be more natural sounding in general and better for music with more "real instruments" - particularly guitar and piano, while Andromeda has a little more speed, but not quite as good timbre, and is more suitable for electronic music. Pathfinder is probably more versatile, but whether or not to upgrade would depend more on what kind of music you listen to.
I don't have a Solaris handy for a comparison, but to my recollection the tuning is very similar to the OG Solaris or Solaris SE, it has less of the spiciness in the upper-midrange and treble than the 2020 version, but is maybe somewhere in between the two. The bass and lower mids are very much characteristically "Solaris" but offer more clarity and texture in the bass than I recall the original Solaris having.
@@BloomAudio i have the solaris and just ordered the pathfinder . Lookin forward to the up grade as solaris is the king in my collection. Thankyou for your response .
Seriously you need some sound treatment in that room your making a video for the audio file community these are the people who are going to search for videos like this one, people that are bothered by every nuisance In Sound. I personally put the volume down just to sit through it because I was interested in hearing what you had to say but it was still like having a chalkboard scratched in my ears. Just some constructive criticism not bashing you.

Thank you for this wonderful, informative review! How does this compare to Campfire Audio's Solaris (2019)?

Sorry, Black Star was limited edition, and I never got a change to hear them myself before we sold out.

Yes, Pathfinder has very good separation between imaging and would do very well with busier compositions.
How do these and U12t compare to the Final Audio A8000?

is it worth to update from Andromeda 2023 to Pathfinder?

@@BloomAudio I m using the SR25 and going to upgrade to the SE300. Looking for a great IEM with adaptable price.
Sound Great! Is there any possibility to try it in your store?
We do have a demo available, but it is currently on loan. If you're in the area, we could let you know when we have it available to demo in store.

They must be good earphones if Jesus Christ recommends it.
