As for the lines, yes the line theme does recur throughout the show...that's called a motif and it's intentional. Each of the line themes is arrived at differently, except for the end of the opener and the end of the show which are nearly identical (with different guard placement) because the end of the show returns to all of the musical themes from throughout the show and finishes with the same musical theme from the end of the opener. None of this is by accident.
