Don't be freaked by the church scene, it's meant to disturb; he says the video is about a superhero that comes to earth to save everyone and they make it clear he isn't wanted so he burns it all down.
To me, it’s a representation of the music industry as a whole. The orthodoxy of music says you must fit in one genre or another, and when you begin to blend powerful people become worried. The industry is hugely based on segregation of genres, and how that blending could disrupt things from streaming to radio to television. So people go afterRonnie, try to tell him he’s doing the wrong thing, and try to get him to change. So instead of giving in, he burns the whole system down. Also, they didn’t show the black lady get lasered in half. She was against the door and the first burst to saw people up was in the pews.
I see this whole song as an appeal to start thinking for ourselves, instead of getting controlled by government, religion, and mass media. The first threatens us with jail, the second with hell, and the last is fearmongering - all of them are lying, in order to keep us _in line._ This is how they control us, and we need to get rid of this fear in order to be ourselves.
the transition from rapgod to opera / metal is effortless.. i got chills from that wow. radke is on a mission to change the game everyone else needs to step up.. Radke shows he can rap as good as anyone sing better than most and he does again and again! the dude is literally a genius at what he does and he deserves respect for it!
A lot of people recognize the various styles of Rap that he goes through but not many notice that he goes through a few styles of Metal after the transition. Starting with his Escape the Fate Hair Metal throwback switching to a Metalcore style and ending on a Djent note, it's actually really impressive how he makes all of it flow seemlessly.
I know I'm late to this reaction but I thought of Rap God, Rap Devil in the first singing/rap, and Bohemian Rhapsody vibes from the high part. Lol

I've been watching every react of this song for a week now, and all of them, leave the hosts speechless, catatonic, impressed, amused. None of my friends whom I showed this song and video, feel what I feel when I hear it. the just don't get the energy. For most part of people, it's overwhelming in a bad way, but for me, it fuels me a lot. Pulls my anger to the surface like it's emptying me out from the same kind of shit he sings about. I get goosebumps while listening. It's just the awesomest song I heard in the last years!
Feel you completely man. Metal and harbored rap are cathartic for me too. They make me happy, energized, pumped for the day and just pull all negative emotions out of me. This song is an Fling masterpiece. Ronnie's rapping is elite, he produced the beat and then the transition into him singing and the band playing is soooo smooth and effortless while being aggressive AF. Damn I love this song and can't wait to see it performed live in April.
dude. just got this comment's screenshot. I 100% agree. You just summarized what I'm going through my last week also this week bcuz i keep on watching reactions to this & other songs of Ronnie.
