RTO's in india needs some major reforms similar to Passport office. It took me almost 2 months to transfer my bike registration from Bangalore to Pune. So much of time, money and efforts wasted for performing such a simple task. Its makes more sense to just sell the bike and buy a new one in other state.

Rto is most corrupted dept, the online application will be approved unless you go through broker or you have time for chasing from one table to another table multiple times and days. Pathetic service. This needs to be privatization just like passport service
I cant agree more, my bike still has not been registered in another RTO even after taking NOC 3 months ealier and submitting to new RTO office. I believe this hypocracy of state controlled rto should be implemented with One Country one road tax and let the centre allocate the states share to different states according to their percentage. And all process should be made online otherwise whats the use of creating a centralized platform in the first place.

Bike ke need nhi hai na udhar RTO kyu ke without knowing NOC mera scooty one state sa other state la Diya hu isseliya
Unko avi bike physically dekhana hai tho bahut issue hai kyu ke ma shift kar diya scooty ko
So without scooty only documents submit karna sa hoga with chassís number.
Is it mandatory to take the scooty to the registered RTO office for NOC?

Yes sir if u pay road tax of TN then u will be able to use the vehicle in both the states without any harrasment till the road tax validity period which is mostly 15 yrs in case of 2whellers if u pay lifetime tax.
So, you just apply for the NOC online from KA RTO, but still have to visit KA RTO ? or New State RTO?
I just apply online and submit all documents KA03 RTO but after they need other office documents/fir copy

For NOC its just 100 to 200 Rs and I paid around 20k road tax in ranchi for my Honda CB350, but still not got refund of the previously paid road tax from Bangalore.

I have Westbengal registered vehicle in bangalore the NOC is available and its been already 14 months completed for NOC, But in NOC it has mentioned (Change in Residence to other Registering Authority), can be it be registered to new buyer or it has be first registered to original Owner then only it can be sold ? Pls reply
From Bangalore it cant be done until it is registered in Karnataka, however it can be transferred to other person from ur previous i.e Kolkata RTO.

Bro I bought my dad's bike without applying for noc from Tamil nadu to Kerala. Now as we need noc in Kerala,should we go back to Tamil nadu to the respective rto office or do everything from kerala itself?
According to rules u have to go back and take NOC. But there is one other way that is u can pay the road tax of kerala, but the vehicle will be registered in TN only. U wont get any tax refund from TN but u will be able to ride the bike in both cities.

Sir then I wd suggest u talk to some agent there if u need it urgently becoz they can get it done with 3,4 days. In normal process its bound to take more than 2 weeks depending upon state to state. I also had to take NOC through agent as I had only 5 days to ship my bike.

U need to go through agent only they can manage to get it through without physically bringing the vehicle at RTO.

You have to visit RTO of pune and ask them that u want to pay road tax challan of maharashtra, there they will also tell u if there is provision of paying challan for limited yrs like 2 yrs or 1 yr. This type of facility is not available online

Yes u have to take the car to delhi for inspection if u want NOC, further after reregisteration in karnataka u have to apply for refund. Its a lenghty process and u will be at loss. I would recommend u just pay the road tax in karnataka then u will be able to drive both in delhi as well as karnataka OR SIMPLY GET PETROL PUMP RECEITS OR ANY RECEIPTS IN UR CARS NO. FROM DELHI INORDER FROM TIME TO TIME IN ORDER TO PROVE THAT U HAVE TRAVELLED TO DELHI IN BETWEEN SO U WILL AGAIN HAVE THE 1 YR RELAXATION PERIOD.

Bro . I brought car from westbengal . I got the noc there but not registered in andhra pradesh. Can u tell me how many days the NOC is valid .
3 to 6 months depending upon state to state. After the period u have to pay fine but NOC remains valid. That again differs from state to state.

I am trying to apply for noc but they are asking for a additional document. Abstract of register under sec 174 of crpc. What to do?
This is related to the clearance that u require from Police that ur bike is not involved in any criminal cases. In most of the states now it has been made optional for online application of NOC after submission of docs RTO send letter asking for clearance. But if in ur state u have to submit that before hand than u have to visit ur nearest police station and ask them from where u can get this clearance.

Yes the bike is needed for inspection in the original RTO.

Hi.. currently i am in TN.. planning to shift to Bangalore. So for 11 month i can ride my vehicle in Bangalore without any issue..how will they know whether the vehicle is running in their state for more than 11 months or not
They won't find it out, actually they can stop u anytime and then u have to prove that in the last few months the bike was in ur registered state. Say its just 3 months in ur new state and u were stopped then u have to prove that ur vehicle is running for just 3 months in the new state. To prove that u will need any kind of documentation that states ur bike was in the previous state like PUC certificate or something like that.
If I show the bike transfer documents (packers and movers or railway transport) will that work?

Yes we do get a sms after submission and generation of application request when offline documents are being submitted in rto.

Sir not every state or Union Territory has option for online Application for NOC, you should visit RTO and then apply.

Bro but for verification you have to take your vehicle to rto for verification. Otherwise conatct some agent in that rto, they might help u bypass the process and get NOC quicker.

Bro if you go to final submit after this process, NOC is auto generated. You can download NOC from same link.
But is RTO accepting the online downloaded copy? I am facing this issue in Mumbai..
Online downloaded copy mentions on it, ‘this is computer generated copy and does not require any signature’. Still RTO does not accept that copy
This is the sorry state of RTOs here, I am afraid all the processes are not fully online in most of the states thats why u r facing this issue. If RTO doesnt agree then u have to get NOC from RTO only.
