My favorite rum that I have tasted so far is Kraken. Mostly because of its thick viscosity and vanilla/caramel taste. I'm not much with mixing so I mostly drink it straight or with coke. I don't like Sailor Jerry at all because you can taste the harshness of it and standard Captain Morgan is acceptable but a bit on the weak end of both taste and proof.
I know this is an old video but it was great! I love Kraken for mixing, I find the flavor fantastic. But I find it too hot and strong to try and drink straight. I was not a big fan of Sailor Jerry's which was the last one I tried. Im looking for a spiced rum to get me into drinking on the rocks or straight. Im quite sensitive to the hot on the mouth alcohol taste. I love spice and caramel and oak and butterscotch and vanilla. A sweeter taste is better but not something like the cannon shot or whatever it was called. ( I do love that for shots though.) Would you recommend I try the Cruzan 9 next or the Captain Private Stock or something else. Thank you in advance if you take the time to give me a recommendation.
Sounds like you'd probably be best starting with Private Stock. Kraken is overproof if I recall, so it's naturally going to be much more aggressive. Private Stock is a good balance.
I am very big fan of spiced rums. This gave me something new to look at (Cruzan 9, The Lash, Bacardi Oakheart). I've been a high favorite of Kraken and Captain Morgan Limited, so it was good to see them make your top and hear your tasting on the other spiced rums as well. So two thumbs way up there.
i really do love captain morgan private stock... my favorite rum too. kraken is alright, a bit more smokey richer flavor. bacardi tastes a bit more like ethanol and myers is like, this sort of chemically molasses taste. a lot of people swear by it but its not for me.
I can't believe "Cabin Boy Larry's Spiced Rum" wasn't used in this test. It's my preferred rum for certain applications. Check out "Deer Camp Mouse Removal and Cabin Boy Larry's" for a comparison video. Great vid guys. KPO
I have no idea what Cabin Boy Larry's Spiced Rum is...never heard of it, is it a small product in some remote area of the country? Sounds like a great brand name though!
yeah, because it's not a product that's in production, that was a limited edition bottle. Although I know a bunch of places had a huge influx in back stock with large sales because it just never sold.
Stupid question of the day. I made a rum sour using Cruzan 9. I used the whiskey sour video as my guide and it tasted flat. What did I do wrong? I thought the egg white killed the drink, right or wrong?
Dave G I believe the egg white killed the drink. The egg white binds with a lot of the more astringent flavors of a strong whiskey and mellows it. But, Cruzan 9 is mellow already, so you probably dampened it down even more. This is the same reason we use a juniper forward gin in Chicago South Side but not in the South Side, because the flavor of the Chicago South Side needed to be sharper to bite through. For a rum sour, I'd use a bright and potent light rum like Bacardi, Cruzan Aged Light Rum or Havana Club 3 Años...this rum sour would be called a "Daiquiri" however :)
My personal favorite is Sailor Jerry, but I also really like that Limited Edition. Others you should consider trying are Zaya, Pyrat, Kilo Kai, and Dos Maderas. Good video guys!
I’ve never liked bacardi runs but I just bought the oakheart. Trying to diversify and get away from the basics so I know what good stuff is supposed to taste like. I hope I like this!
I have to say that I've tried most of the spiced rum is out there and captain Morgan black spiced rum is still my favorite. Drinking it straight out, never mixing it, it's what I prefer. Kraken a far 2nd for me.
Already upset. My fav is Capt. Black. I haven't tried all the ones you have there, but without the black, it's skewed. Still love you guys. I also cut all my drinks with soda. Drinking any of these straight just burns.
I think it's a little entertaining that Derrick says that he doesn't like Oakheart, but he picked it in the blind tasting and he really liked the Trinidad Rum Punch that he made a while back which used the Oakheart as a main ingredient, and loved it.
I forgot to add to my previous comment that I've only tasted one white rum and that is a Brazilian rum names Oronoco. I would rate it's flavor just under Kraken but it's a black and white comparison so I don't think it's even fair to compare them.
Bruh, I just tried Private Stock for the first time, and it is the tastiest rum I've ever had. Sweet, but not disgustingly sweet, and smooth as Derricks head :) It would be a travesty to even mix this stuff, just sip it on the rocks with a dab of water and appreciate all the interesting notes of butterscotch and caramel and what not. For me, my favorite rums are 1. Private Stock 2. Oakheart and 3. Captain Morgan Black.... all I've tried thanks to this channel! Thanks for introducing me to some of my favorite drinks fellas, I'm on my way to becoming a proper alcoholic.
This blind taste testing confirmed my long held thoughts...Tatto, Cruzin, and Oakheart. Oh sure there are surely other rums of differing kinds out there, but for spiced and readily available rums these are my go to spirits.
Derrick... I've been tuned in to your channel since recently and I am impressed of these videos. Very informative for people who are craving for knowledge. I have one question to ask. When you do these comparisons like this one, do you leave it neat or add water when sipping? I appreciate the reply. Thank you for your work and entertainment. - A fan
Rich Luna depends, sometimes we add a splash of spring water to the glasses. Not always with the blinds though because it just takes too long to prep. If we do like 2 or 3 at a time we usually do.
thanks, we do at least 3 videos a week, so check back m, w and friday :) Or, of course, the 2700+ videos we already have to get some recipe knowledge/entertainment.
yeah, they were supposed to send me stuff after I gave them my address and information (as one of our fans requested it of them) but we never got anything
Brad Thomas Derrick can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's probably more common with some of the other rums (Such as Angostura 1919 and the Maritain rum we reviewed).
I don't know many people that sip rum so I don't know how common it is. It depends on what one means by "common" I guess, and that has a lot to do with the circle of people you hang with I'm guessing.
Hey I take offense to the college kid comment. I've tried most of these. That said I wonder how different the result would've been with a bit of water added to each. I know when I sip private stock I put it over an ice cube, but it has also been a while since I've had it.
some will also argue, by putting it over an ice cube you've dulled your senses and it kills off some of the aroma that can come out of the glass. But, I was a college kid once. That gives me claim to say what I say :-)
+Common Man Cocktails Looks like it's Kraken! I'm trying to replicate something a buddy makes for ice fishing trips and that stuff is dangerous! Delicious but dangerous! You should give it a try sometime, it could be a little tricky to do for the show since it's supposed to spend a week soaking in cinnamon sticks but it'd be a cool change of pace!
Cruzan products in general are my rum go-to bottles. I'm a broke college student, and you absolutely cannot beat the price:quality ratio of what they make. Have yet to try their black rum, have you guys tried it?
I wish someone would do a review on Black Magic, I always see it right beside Kraken at pretty much the same price point but no one ever seems to mention it.
If you like Jack Daniels / smokey Whiskey or Rum types of flavour than take the Oakheart (with coke it tastes almost the same like Jacky, I hate it), if you like something sweet-vanilla like without the smokey, leathery, oaky etc. taste and with a less watery mouth feel than take the morgan spiced gold.
captain morgan gold is a horrible waste of cheap money, BUT, oakheart is a great value piece. Here is the more specific review: ruclips.net/video/U9m_8mZ3zlg/видео.html
I tried Captain Morgan, both on its own and with Coke. I found it way too sweet (then again, I don’t like Coke that much) and pretty bland. It reminded me of drinking a liquid version of those crappy cola candies you get at the dollar store. The fact it’s only 35 percent alcohol is telling. Do you have a recommendation for a spiced rum that is both reasonably priced and packs more oomph than Captain?
Common Man Cocktails Cruzan 9 is very reasonably priced in NC, and I like how the bottle has the spices used on it (similar to Bombay Sapphire's botanicals listed on the side of the bottle). However, Kraken is the same proof and price as the gin I enjoy, so I may enjoy the extra punch.
don't worry about proof, go for flavor profile over alcohol content. Cruzan 9, I've been told is pretty allspice forward flavor (I don't get it, but others do), Oakheart is the best out of the line I listed from my own blind tasting experience & results.
Oakheart's also cheap, cheaper than Captain Morgan according to NC's ABC Store quarterly price list. Granted, the actual price varies by county (in Catawba County, Oakheart and Captain are the same price.) Either way, if I don't happen to like it, it wouldn't be a huge waste of money.
Have you guys tried Foursquare spiced or Chairman's Reserve spiced? Both certainly worth a taste if you haven't and have the funds- which shouldn't be too tricky as Foursquare is the same price as Bacardi superior here.
I've also heard interesting things about Elements 8 spiced, which has apparently a much more natural (or less synthetic) spicey taste, and is a true sipper.
your caramel pick and butterscotch pick changed in the end, cruzan was suppose to be your caramel and private as your butterscotch, not oakheart and cruzan. Anyways, sailor jerry and private stock are my personal favorites, haven't had the pleasure to try sherry oak, would love to find some. Nice video as usual.
Just realized at the liquor store I work at we have about 10 bottles of the sherry cask morgan. Will prolly pick up one for halloween and give it a try
Have you done a dark (non-spiced) rum blind tasting (including my personal favorite, Myers) yet? If not, I think that would be a good addition to this series.
I know this video is about a year old, but I was very surprised to here you say that Kraken is not "mass marketed" and has the "biker" persona. I go to school in Nashville and everyone loves Kraken. Even some fairly "girly" girls I know.
Alex Marsh Some brands have very strong brand managers in major cities (others don't), so, it's very possible Kraken has got a great brand marketing over there where they have harder time breaking in within other areas (for instance, the battle of Captain Morgan and Sailor Jerry is pretty good in the Boston area from what I hear)
I must say this video, not the Sherry Oak review, is what makes me want to try it now. It's not listed at my local Total Wine, so it might be gone. Though they do have another product (Captain Morgan 1671), which looks intriguing, based on the bottle design.
***** Tis a shame it isn't going the same direction as Jagermeister Spice, since that was reportedly a limited batch, but it's still plentifully available at every liquor store here.
Kenneth Rathburn yeah. I'd like to find another bottle of Sherry Cask to stash away. I went to Captain's website and it's not even listed anymore, just 1671 (which I'll get this week)
yeah, I've changed the format a bit, because of the closer shot and we can't pan out far enough, I put them on my side, bring them out and hand them to Ian so people can see (see our bitters tasting for how we did it, even though those bottles are tiny)
I think it would be easier while doing reviews in this way it would be easier to have a little memo pad for each person to write what they tasted in each one During the tasting they named number 1 which is Private stock to have a butterscotch flavor but when they found out with ones were which they named number 8 to have the butterscotch flavor..
Ian Andrews IAN! Is that a cigar in your picture? You should do some cigar videos. You could possibly dabble in pairing alcohol and cigars. Most of the channels I subscribe to are alcohol or tobacco-based.
Tim Todaro It is, though I don't really smoke. I was in Germany and met some Cubans who had real Cuban cigars, so it seemed a shame to not take advantage of that opportunity :)
Not sure if you have Shellback spiced rum in your area but it's one that you should definitely try...I love the subtle him to vanilla at the and it has a great price point also!!!
Nerd fact. Your taste buds actually have a cluster of taste receptors so the whole tongue taste mapping thing is hot garbage. Having said that, loved this vid!
yeah, I read that somewhere. I also thought there was some fact about some areas being a bit more responsive to certain things like sweet, sour, bitter, etc.
All the captain black fans in the comments I have a great cocktail for you. 1.5-2oz capt black 0.5-1oz baileys Top with root beer in a lo ball on the rocks. Warning this cocktail looks gross due to the curdled look the mix of baileys and soda with always have like a coke float, but it is very tasty!
Two points to make! Y wife found the cocktail recipe for this drink but. For got the name. I didn’t invent this drink! Also I only like to use Barq’s root beer in this because it is what the recipe called for and because it complements the black strap/dark vanilla notes of captain black but this is also great with coke and Dr Pepper.
Great thanks. I am going to be ordering some stuff from your awesome drinks store. If I order 50$ worth of stuff is the shipping going to be free?I live in the Los Angeles area
Elmen Ortiz yep, we don't lie! Just make sure you don't have, like $52 in your cart, then use a coupon code to drop it below $50 because it will not be over $50 anymore.
There is 1 thing that surprised me lately this is something i bagged out because its a game with graphics that are very poor. I hated on it without even playing it. I had 0 interest untill about a month ago i thought ill give it a crack and it turned out that its something that i would become totally addicted to. And that game is Minecraft. I know so sad because im 33 with an addiction to a bloody kids game lol
Minecraft wasn't a kids game...at first. We played it many years ago as a group (about eight of us) before it was "hip and cool" to play it. Today, however, every kid and their parents play it. My son and I had a world on Pocket minecraft for awhile but the beta of the software sucked and crashed all the time so I stopped using it.
oh cool, i downloaded the pocked minecraft but never play it.... its just something good to wind down with after a night of work. normally with a drink right next to me lol
I like your videos, but one feedback.. do not just say 'if u want something.. choose this' please state the brand. Some people want to listen ur videos while driving, cooking etc.. ;)
I am kinda heartbroken that you didn't have the Captain Morgan Black in there. No one drank it at my bar but I thought it was the best so when we did $2 shot deals on it I literally pulled in a replacement bartender to finish my shift so I could get in on it. I would have loved to see The Real McCoy rum in there as well. Having had Kraken, I believe that as a "stand alone" rum, neat or on the rocks, Captain Black would have been the best example of a black rum. That felt like the standard for what a dark rum, in my head, should be. Smooth, not a crazy strong alcohol burn, and warm. I guess I'll have to get Oakheart soon now too. I used to love Blackheart but up against Captain Morgan 1671, no comparison. The glass smell on the latter is awesome and warm vanilla-ish as well. Really rounds out a great drinking experience. It can be a tad sharp though. Kinda surprised you didn't get the cherry off the Blackheart. It;s high proof but pretty decent as a mixer. Especially with cola. Probably from the cherry notes since the only thing that should ever be in cola is Cherry, Rum or Whiskey. And that last one I find debatable.
We did do a Kraken vs. Captain Black Comparison in the past, I think our thoughts were that Kraken was better stand alone, but Black was better with coke. Black is a good product and should help make "original" a thing of the past.
Taste tests like these make me feel good because it means I don't have to go out and find some super rare, expensive product just to get quality.
nice :)
Thanks for the information. Picking up Cruzan 9 for the first time this week.
Dave G Thanks
I'm not super experienced, but kraken is one of the ones I can drink straight.goes great in Dr pepper too
A slight margin for using straight.
Daniel Bell... Can't say that without stating your reason. Why is it a slight margin?
Kraken is a modified Dark Rum. Spiced rum taste diffent.
( I do love that for shots though.)
Would you recommend I try the Cruzan 9 next or the Captain Private Stock or something else.
Thank you in advance if you take the time to give me a recommendation.
Sounds like you'd probably be best starting with Private Stock. Kraken is overproof if I recall, so it's naturally going to be much more aggressive. Private Stock is a good balance.
Thanks!
Is Private Stock that much better!
ha, just released a review of 5 spiced rums and that's one of 'em :) ruclips.net/video/U9m_8mZ3zlg/видео.html
So two thumbs way up there.
awesome, thanks!
Captain Morgan Private Stock is so good. Instantly makes a Coke Zero tastes like the best Vanilla Coke you've ever had.
Mixing Private Stock seems a waste, it's so good on it's own, cutting it with coke you'd lose all those interesting flavors.
i really do love captain morgan private stock... my favorite rum too. kraken is alright, a bit more smokey richer flavor. bacardi tastes a bit more like ethanol and myers is like, this sort of chemically molasses taste. a lot of people swear by it but its not for me.
I love rum
Already had Kraken and today I bought Cruzan 9 because of this video. Thanks for the help.
Dave G awesome, hope you like it!
I think it is the store brand for "Family Dollar Liquor Stores" and check the vid I mentioned for all the details.
I like the captain Morgan private stock but I find it really, really sweet. I think sailor Jerry is my favourite
not a fan of sailor jerry's, but it won't be as sweet because it's over proofed.
Captain Morgan limited sherry cask is the best rum I've ever had. I polished off the bottle a couple of years ago and haven't ran across it since.
yeah, because it's not a product that's in production, that was a limited edition bottle. Although I know a bunch of places had a huge influx in back stock with large sales because it just never sold.
I loved the Kraken at first but the second time around it just gives me the vanilla car freshener headache.
You know what I would have to agree with you sir, I tried Jonah's Curse last night-very tasty! and its cheaper if you buy it through Total Wine
For a rum sour, I'd use a bright and potent light rum like Bacardi, Cruzan Aged Light Rum or Havana Club 3 Años...this rum sour would be called a "Daiquiri" however :)
Thanks. I'll have to try again next month.
I like the idea behind an "Exploration Series"
thanks :)
anyone else catch the mistake. their "butterscotch" one they liked was private stock. they set aside the wrong shot glass.
Yep. I was waiting for them to pull number one because of the butterscotch flavor. They even mentioned their love for Private Stock in the intro.
My personal favorite is Sailor Jerry, but I also really like that Limited Edition. Others you should consider trying are Zaya, Pyrat, Kilo Kai, and Dos Maderas. Good video guys!
+Brian Luhm we have Dos Maderas, not the others yet.
Thanks to your video I bought my first 1.75L bottle of Kraken. I think they owe you something for the sale.
Kraken a far 2nd for me.
kraken is a bit intense, yeah.
+Common Man Cocktails
Yes it is. It hit me out of nowhere. And this is from someone who's preferred drink of choice is Knob Creek Single Barrel 120pf.
There are slight differences. Drinking Kraken straight seems great. Capt Morgan Black is an ok mixer. It is a little more harsh.
Already upset. My fav is Capt. Black. I haven't tried all the ones you have there, but without the black, it's skewed. Still love you guys. I also cut all my drinks with soda. Drinking any of these straight just burns.
I like Captain Black better than Kraken.

I do want to try that recipe with Angostura 1919, as it was intended as well. But yeah, I agree :)
I forgot to add to my previous comment that I've only tasted one white rum and that is a Brazilian rum names Oronoco. I would rate it's flavor just under Kraken but it's a black and white comparison so I don't think it's even fair to compare them.
My favorite spiced rum is Kilo Kai...definitely worth a try
I recommend Admiral Nelson's 100 proof, it's cheaper and stronger than Captain Morgan and it tastes just as good.
yeah, that stuff is pretty strong :)
Sailor jerry or captain Morgan? As being in Australia 48 dollars for a 1L bottle of captain and 40 dollars for. 750ml bottle
markerandCANSreviews sailor jerry over standard captain

+Barefoots Child yeah, all but tattoo :)
Tattoo goes with root beer good.
i was debating about getting bacardi oak, def yes.and now i need to find cruzan 9.
Derrick...
I've been tuned in to your channel since recently and I am impressed of these videos. Very informative for people who are craving for knowledge.
I have one question to ask. When you do these comparisons like this one, do you leave it neat or add water when sipping?
I appreciate the reply.

thanks for quick reply, Ill be back U have a good channel. 😎
thanks, we do at least 3 videos a week, so check back m, w and friday :) Or, of course, the 2700+ videos we already have to get some recipe knowledge/entertainment.
I stumbled across you guys while drinking Sailor Jerry and smoking a good cigar... you have a new subscriber. Well Done!
ha, thanks!
Bully!
Capt Morgan was my drink of choice when I was 15, tasted nice and was easy to get down until i got liver Cirrhosis
Cirrhosis progressed or ok?
What's your take on Foursquare Spiced Rum or Doorly's XO / 5YO?
I've never heard of it before
Bayou rum is awesome as well harder to find but darn good
yeah, they were supposed to send me stuff after I gave them my address and information (as one of our fans requested it of them) but we never got anything
Very nice review exactly what I needed. Do many people drink Rum on the rocks, is it common at all? I love the Sherry Oak Captain straight.
Brad Thomas Derrick can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's probably more common with some of the other rums (Such as Angostura 1919 and the Maritain rum we reviewed).

That is true but hey it taste better. :)
Hey, loved the video, I'm looking for some spiced rum to use with apple pie homebrew, what would you like for that?
+SyncopatedFin I don't know, I don't know what it tastes like, so probably just try a spiced rum you have on hand and see.
+Common Man Cocktails Looks like it's Kraken! I'm trying to replicate something a buddy makes for ice fishing trips and that stuff is dangerous! Delicious but dangerous! Do you have a recommendation for a spiced rum that is both reasonably priced and packs more oomph than Captain?
Bacardi Oakheart, Cruzan 9, Don Q Spiced, Captain Morgan Private Stock or perhaps Kraken if you like darker rum with less spice nuance.
Common Man Cocktails

Brinley Gold Shipwreck Spiced Rum!
That's a great one.
RoccosPlace1 I'm so bummed that I can't find that in my area. 😒

it's not just the funds, it's the access. Some products just aren't available in all areas :(
Have you guys done a review on Captain Private Stock by itself? I thought you did but I can't find it
+Frankie Rodriguez no probably not
Ian looks like Tim McGraw from far
Always long pour Perrier and juice into a glass before drinking. Sure you lose half of it as CO2 but it's way better.

Taylor Blizzard cool
Have you done a dark (non-spiced) rum blind tasting (including my personal favorite, Myers) yet? If not, I think that would be a good addition to this series.
not that I know of, I really dislike Myers, so I doubt it would be something that would be rared well :)
Myers is so think, and heavy I do not know what to do with it.
I do like a small sip, like a tablespoon.
my 3 - Kraken, Sailor Jerry, when close to broke Blackheart
I thought Blackheart was incredible. A fine Bourbon Rum.
Captain Morgans is fermented pirate sweat
This one of my favorite episodes. This might be my 3rd time watching the whole video. It's not because of Ian's hat lol
Might be time for a cowboy hat revival with the new bar now lol
There can be only One: Jonah's Curse Black Spiced Rum.
im in college and I'm learning how to drink! ahaha
did you finish college?
I know this video is about a year old, but I was very surprised to here you say that Kraken is not "mass marketed" and has the "biker" persona. I go to school in Nashville and everyone loves Kraken. Even some fairly "girly" girls I know.
Alex Marsh Some brands have very strong brand managers in major cities (others don't), so, it's very possible Kraken has got a great brand marketing over there where they have harder time breaking in within other areas (for instance, the battle of Captain Morgan and Sailor Jerry is pretty good in the Boston area from what I hear)
And over here in nj oak heart roams the market! That calico and Morgan aswell
I must say this video, not the Sherry Oak review, is what makes me want to try it now. It's not listed at my local Total Wine, so it might be gone. Though they do have another product (Captain Morgan 1671), which looks intriguing, based on the bottle design.
yeah, I have to get 1671, everyone's telling me to get it, which means it should get good views :)
***** Well I went to said store and they had two bottles of the Sherry Oak left. A few bucks cheaper than the 1671, so not a bad score on my end.
Kenneth Rathburn I am not sure I can get it local anymore... :|
Great review!! I was surprised by a few. I will always stand by Kraken, I hope i can still find the sherry cask Morgan somewhere now...
hopefully!
i'm looking for not too hard rom and it could be a bit sweet any recommendations?
Whitehartlane spiced rum, dark rum, light rum, gold rum, ..?
spiced one propably
Whitehartlane Bacardi Oakheart, Captain Morgan Sherry Cask Limited Edition (if you can find it), Kraken, Cruzan 9
Cheers mate
+Common Man Cocktails isn't gold rum supposed to be mixed?
Can you make sure and show the bottles next time? I have never heard of "spiced jack".
yeah, I've changed the format a bit, because of the closer shot and we can't pan out far enough, I put them on my side, bring them out and hand them to Ian so people can see (see our bitters tasting for how we did it, even though those bottles are tiny)
I usually get sailor Jerry for my rum and coke, looks like I gotta try some new rums
yeah, branching out is win!
God I want all of those.
haha, time to go shopping! :)
could you do a review on Seven Tiki Spiced Rum?
not unless someone over there sends it to us, not something in our area
We had it hear in DC. It is an airy pacific Hawaiian style spiced rum.
I think it would be easier while doing reviews in this way it would be easier to have a little memo pad for each person to write what they tasted in each one During the tasting they named number 1 which is Private stock to have a butterscotch flavor but when they found out with ones were which they named number 8 to have the butterscotch flavor..
BigD5717 I think that's a good idea. Wish I thought of it :)
Yeah, I used to do that with some of the older tastings.
Ian Andrews
IAN!
Nicely done. Was there a reason you don't have Goslings?
None other than I don't have every spiced rum on the planet, already have too much stuff :)
Not sure if you have Shellback spiced rum in your area but it's one that you should definitely try...I love the subtle him to vanilla at the and it has a great price point also!!!
I scrimped on my last liquor store run and bought Admiral Nelson. Compared to Captain Morgan it sucks.
and considering how weak and light captain morgan is...you got a long way to go! :)
Expensive my friends
Cruzan 9 is an imposter! Go to 9:40 to see the real rum with the butterscotch that they liked.
Cruzan rum is good at it's base, but I think it should be improved. Aging may help.
You need to copyright "9 & Coke," that just sounds like a great signature bar drink.
yeah, if Coke wasn't a copyright maybe :)
Maybe "9 & Cola" ?
+Ian Andrews ... YES, copywrite today!
All the captain black fans in the comments I have a great cocktail for you.
1.5-2oz capt black
0.5-1oz baileys
Top with root beer in a lo ball on the rocks.
Warning this cocktail looks gross due to the curdled look the mix of baileys and soda with always have like a coke float, but it is very tasty!
Two points to make! Y wife found the cocktail recipe for this drink but. For got the name. I didn’t invent this drink!
Also I only like to use Barq’s root beer in this because it is what the recipe called for and because it complements the black strap/dark vanilla notes of captain black but this is also great with coke and Dr Pepper.
no calico jack 94 proof?
nope! Not a fan, tastes like cotton candy. But, can't do everything, it's only a single video :)
Which one was the winner?
The four to look for: Captain Morgan Sherry Cask (if you can find any left), Bacardi Oakheart, Cruzan 9 and Kraken.
***** Great Thanks
i want to see you guys review bundaberg rum
Private stock!
Oakheart is good !
Black Sails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we get a vodka episode possibly
Lambs spiced is the very best
Lambs spiced is crap kraken is much better
sailor loyal for life!
should try Admiral venon"s Old J Spiced rum :) x
I like your videos, but one feedback.. do not just say 'if u want something.. choose this' please state the brand. Some people want to listen ur videos while driving, cooking etc.. ;)
"I'm a juicer! You juice too?"
I was thinking of steroids when they kept saying that.
lol, what's wrong with you.
@@cmcocktails I mean, looking at the size of Ian's arms, that's a possibility :P
I like your t shirt
Coke at 9
Captain Morgan black cask tastes like rotten coconut with way too much artificial vanilla.
No.2 tastes like shit lol
too disorganized video to watch !
then don't!
