Back in the day when you said "Miller" at the bar, this is what the bartender gave you. Now if you say "Miller" or "Coors" they assume "Lite" and "Light" respectively. Anyway you can't go wrong with the High Life!
I have had High Life precisely one time in my life - found it here in Berlin at a store specialising in American goods (they charged quite a bit for a 12oz can!). I liked it! I have a fondness for these US lagers, though, - as a teen in Britain it was easy to get MGD, Lite, Michelob, Bud, even Schlitz. If High Life was sold here widely I'd certainly buy it regularly. Loved that you did a revisit, you should definitely do more of them! Prost!
Unfortunately for me, a 24 pack lasts me a week. Thanks for watching and commenting. If you haven't SUBBED yet, please do. Check out more of my 130+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
Miller High Life is a decent cheap beer. The draft version is unpasteurized = slight more flavor. Miller Genuine Draft is the big brother/ cold filtered version of High Life. IMHO this beer is better than Bud or Michelob.
I “grew up” drinking Miller in high school. Friend if mine’s dad was a distributer:) After I discovered micro brews...this was in the 90s...no more domestic beers for me. But now that I’m older, and sick of all the overpriced hipster flavored beers that crowd the liquor store isles these days, I find myself going back to my roots. I can buy an 18 pack of Miller for around $13...or some flavored garbage for almost $20 for a 12 pack. For me choice is becoming easy.
Work as a vrewing assistant at a local microbrew in chicago. Miller highlife is my favorite guilty pleasure. After drinking and tasting heavy beers and ipas etc daily, a highlife never fails to be absolutely awesome at nothing. Its a good all around casual beer and theres bothing remarkable or special about it. Shes ol' faithful, always there and accessible and always consistant, which is more than i can say about a lot of beer these days. Cant go wrong with a tall blonde! Highlife is great for any occasion too! for a backyard BBQ, thanksgiving dinner, or even a good ol american tailgate.
My go to "cheap" beer is High Life, Coors, or Shiner Bock. Depending on availability. I live in rural Texas. Modelo is a little more pricey due to the local demand but it's up there as well.
Both. Some cheap breweries use corn syrup instead of malt. Yeast eats the sugar in the malt (or corn syrup) and that produces alcohol. Corn syrup is A LOT cheaper than proper malt is why they use it. I had this the other day because somebody had it at a party and I was completely blown away at how good it was and I’m like why does this taste so good and then I realized that I’m comparing it against like a typical light beer and I would assume that it’s more like Coors banquet so I guess if you’re comparing it to a light beer it’s pretty darn good lol
I recently discovered your channel and it’s great! I found it because I love all things voodoo ranger….i have loved juicy haze and juice force since it came out but I love all beers, and I find your channel so entertaining and fun too watch, keep it up!
I started drinking High Life thanks to history of beer documentaries, and figured it was worth a taste. I'm from the Rural Midwest (a village in Michigan), so I've had my share of cheap Budweiser. There's something "fun" about high life, one of my preferred cheap beers. When I wanna get "fancy" I go for a Lindeman's Belgian Lambic, imported form Belgium. Or some Kona Brewing Company stuff out of Hawaii. I'm similar to my Grandfater (born during the Great Depression) in that there's few beers I dislike. I'm also Former Military so my standards are a bit warped from that, but as a result you learn the better tasting cheap beers.
LOL damn wasn't expecting that chug. Cheers from south jersey. Also i think you're on point with that pepper after taste. All miller portfolio products that molson-coors produces, they will all have some good lacing.

Growing up in Wisconsin I remember seeing signs for Miller high life at Friday night fish fry, funny enough my grandpa used to drink it but since he's moved to Florida he's changed over to Yuengling. Love the idea of garage fridge beer, in Wisconsin many people have a garage fridge, I'm guessing a lot of dads bought them because their wives complained about taking up the entire freezer with venison after hunting season. All my friends who had garage fridges had a few cans of soda and beer in the fridge section (mostly empty space) and it was packed to gills in the freezer half with venison 🤣.
Miller Hi Life !!!😂❤. I vividly remember fall/winter Friday nights in the 60’s ….. 1963 - 64 mom & dad would be curled up on the sofa , I’d be laying on the living room floor watching the big black & white RCA tv and mom’s sister and brother-in-law would show up with a thin crust anchovies pizza and a cold 6-pack of Miller Hi Life beer !!! 😂. I’m 68 years old and whenever I see Miller beer to this day I think of anchovies pizza and Miller !!!
3.25 Miller High life 4.1 Coors Banquet Both use corn syrup and have been placing the info on the can since superbowl had a bud light commercial saying they use rice and the others use corn syrup.
When i went to college in upstate NY circa '75, Miller Hi-Life in the quart bottle was actually more expensive than the local brands and major brands like Budweiser and me and my friend always thought it had a superior taste. i think the quart bottle was 69 or 79 cents others were 49 cents. However, when i left college and i purchased Miller afterwards it tasted terrible and i believed (but never verified) that they had changed the formula. so i stopped buying Miller for decades till recently. I'm now back on the bandwagon, drinking it as the go-to cheap beer.
I’m 21 years of age and I been drinking theses since I was 14 back then I drank it for obvious reasons get drunk but it’s now a beer I can enjoy I used to like micky MD2020 but miller high life in my opinion is a good brew

I love beer and maybe I am a bit of a beer snob. Busch, Budweiser, Natty Ice and this crap i wouldn't touch if they were the last on earth. I'd quit drinking. I'm good with my green. 😉
I bought many MANY 6 packs of Miller High LIfe when I lived in Vicksburg Mississippi for $4 and change. They've gone up since, like everything else, but I'd still say it's a decent cheap brew. Also, again, how can I get one of those Beer Snob glasses?

Since Ive been in my 30s Ive expanded my palate to more European and Japanese beers but i gotta say miller high lifes are my go to when it comes to good ol American cheapness 😂. My family's beer, the first beer I ever tried. Miller High Life.. truly the champagne of beers.
Grandpa beer?! I'm only 27! I'm in Mexico so I drink the Mexican version, y'know and I love it! It's a 24 oz (says google 710 mL), just discovered your channel, so I'll go through some reviews, hope I find out you tried some Mexican stuff lol

I like craft beers and imports that are high in quality. That's what I drink when I have access and can afford it. But there are times when I don't have any choice but to settle for a cheap domestic beer. When at small bars or restaurants that don't have a selection or I'm a guest someplace and the hosts only drink domestic. 9 times out of 10 I'll choose a Miller product. They don't have a lot of character but they are always decent. They're just ok but consistently so. There's no surprises or bad side affects. I think MGD is a little better than High life for flavor.
You make some excellent points. Thanks for watching and commenting. If you haven't SUBBED already, please do and check out MORE of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
I love Miller High Life! It doesn't get you overly intoxicated and there's no hangover. I'm worried the price might go up once people realize this is the best beer for the price! Now days marketing is a lie ! All beers put straight garbage!
The stubby bottles are only 7 oz, it’s the perfect portion to make a really nice beer cheese sauce. Or you could make a Spaghett, that’s a cocktail with MHL, Aperol, and lemon juice.
I have done MGD before (check out the video) but do you mean as a revisited review? That's a good idea. Thanks for watching and commenting! If you haven't SUBBED already, please do and check out more of my 130+ Brew Reviews. CHEERS!
Very good review. Quality foam, lacing, good balance of Barley malt and Hops in spite of the corn aroma and flavor. Very decent price and always available fresh. My Go To beer for decades!
As far as the cheap macro lagers go this is probably in the top three for me. The corn syrup replaced the yellow corn grits they used to use as the adjunct. When I used to work for Con agra in the early 2000's we shipped alot of corn grits to Miller brewing company. They replaced grits with brewers syrup, I assume because of cost.
That's true! MHL has that college/dive bar smell. Thanks for watching and commenting. If you haven't SUBBED already, please do and check out MORE of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
I thought they called it the champagne of beers because it had such a big head on it like champagne. It reminds me of our cheaper version of Yearlinger.

@@CheapBrewReview they called it that because it was so carbonated, like Champagne. In my shitty cheap beers list, I rank it third behind Rolling Rock and Coors Light.
It was my understanding the hop extract used by High Life does not cause the skunk taste found in so many beers with clear bottles. At least that’s what I was told. Good review Cheers

Miller highlife ARE MINE ALWAYS AND FOR EVER😳🤨😅🤣😅🤣😅😁😂🍺
Classic beer taste. Just bought a 12 pack of tall boys for $11.49 (tax included). Can't beat that with a stick.
Been drinking it since I was 14. Now 63.
Nice. Thanks for watching and commenting and if you haven't SUBBED yet, please do. Check out more of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
I love beer and maybe I am a bit of a beer snob. Busch, Budweiser, Natty Ice and this crap i wouldn't touch if they were the last on earth. I'd quit drinking. I'm good with my green. 😉
Excellent Reviews my Brother M8
Learning more & more.. I didn't know about the cheap brewing processes... corner cutting makes all the difference.
It's what makes the headaches hurt more. Thanks for your SUB and support - CHEERS!
Good excuse to drink a beer. I love Miller High Life. Cheers! 🍺
Standing on a fire ant hill while reviewing is what I would call adding depth to the production. Cheers!
I suffer for my art. I'm glad you appreciate my pain lol. CHEERS!
I'm obsessed with wanting to try one of these haha but nowhere to be found in the UK
You aren't missing much lol. Thanks for your SUB and support in the UK - CHEERS!
I bought many MANY 6 packs of Miller High LIfe when I lived in Vicksburg Mississippi for $4 and change. They've gone up since, like everything else, but I'd still say it's a decent cheap brew. Also, again, how can I get one of those Beer Snob glasses?
Bad Karma to put down the High Life. My staple @ deer camp cause nobody else will drink my Millers!👍
That's a good tactic. I've done that before - find a beer nobody else likes and that way they don't steal your beer lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and if you haven't SUBBED yet, please do. Check out more of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
10:15 everyone has their preferences

Always loved high life, a classic cheap beer, never misses
Only bad thing is when I drink more than 3, I start to sober up. Thanks for watching and commenting and if you haven't SUBBED yet, please do. Check out more of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
Drinking a 32 oz right now.. it’s perfect .. no crazy taste, real simple, just… beer..
I got my miller in hand!
i would put this on par with Coors...3.5 -4 range...bit too sweet on the finish...and a bit too overcarbonated...nitpicking...great value
Picked up a delicious 30 pack today for 15.99 !👍✌🍻
Nice!! Hard to beat that - CHEERS!
I wish the 16oz. came in 12packs but they don’t !
I love the High Life. I don't care what anyone thinks.
This is my favorite beer! I don't care what it's made with or how it's made it tastes good to me!
Love this stuff! MHL is the best for the buck. Put down thousands of them in college
Since Ive been in my 30s Ive expanded my palate to more European and Japanese beers but i gotta say miller high lifes are my go to when it comes to good ol American cheapness 😂. My family's beer, the first beer I ever tried. Miller High Life.. truly the champagne of beers.
Miller High Life is a good cheap beer, My Father enjoyed, also Old Style Beer. If was good enough for my Daddy'o it's Good Enough for me....
Drink it out of a cold clear glass long neck on a hot day ands it’s awesome. Great beer for the $.
Grandpa beer?! I'm only 27! I'm in Mexico so I drink the Mexican version, y'know and I love it! It's a 24 oz (says google 710 mL), just discovered your channel, so I'll go through some reviews, hope I find out you tried some Mexican stuff lol
More Mexican Brews on the way. I do have quite a few already, so please check them out. Thanks for watching and commenting and if you haven't SUBBED yet, please do. Check out more of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
CHEERS!
it's probably just me but i feel like the 16 oz cans have a higher carbonation content.
I love revisited beer reviews! Keep em coming. This is a solid cheap brew to me. Cheers man. 🍻
More to come! Thanks for your SUB and support - CHEERS!
Used to be my go to when I was going through hard times. I don't remember it having corn syrup though. I wonder if that's a recent ingredient change.
Yes, it tastes even cheaper than it did. Almost like a junk food beer. Thanks for your SUB and support - CHEERS!
I've always liked MHL, for various reasons.
You should do miller genuine draft next you have done miller high life twice which I drink everyday but MGD it’s a old classic
I have done MGD before (check out the video) but do you mean as a revisited review? That's a good idea.

Very good review. Quality foam, lacing, good balance of Barley malt and Hops in spite of the corn aroma and flavor. Very decent price and always available fresh. My Go To beer for decades!
90 degree day but thank god you have your long sleeve shirt tucked into your watch
It's because I'm sun sensitive and I freckle. lol. Thanks for your view, SUB and support. CHEERS!
Even here in Europe major brewries use hop extract. This is too hold down the cost of transport and storage.
I disagree strongly with the low score for what it is and the like-ability personally but hey ya
Its my favorite by far
It's in my top 35. Thanks for the view, sub and support - CHEERS!
High Life doesn't have a great aramoa for some reason, but the taste is pretty good.
I think they call it the champagne of beers because they're putting lipstick on a pig.lol.

I just looked it up because the 19 0 3 it was one of the 1st beers to go to a clear glass bottle and they made it look like a wine bottle
Interesting. Could be, I guess.

I had this as a teen. Its ok, MGD tastes better IMO. MGD is High Life, just Cold Filtered. Be like having High Life on Draft. Cheers!
Miller High Life is my go-to beer I love it
Yep, MHL is a solid go-to brew. Thanks for watching and commenting and if you haven't SUBBED yet, please do. Check out more of my 140+ Brew Reviews and let me know what you think. CHEERS!
Lawnmower and Garage beer are perfect descriptions. Have you reviewed the infamous Milwaukees best? I see it as the king of Garage/Junkyard beers lol
MLH is just a good ol American beer and a great value. Throw it in the freezer for 15 minutes before drinking it on a hot summer night and pull out the crispy chicken wings and your life will be complete
My go to for a long time!
Solid old school brew. Thanks for the view, sub and support - CHEERS!
