I dont see any reason why you would need live fish for these guys. They are scavengers who will eat anything. Just give frozen shrimp, frozen silversides and cut up fillets. I've never had a bichir that didn't like pellets and flakes either
72-80 degrees that’s really hot for a tank. Did you mean 72-80 Fahrenheit? I don’t mean to be rude I just don’t want anyone really thinking it has to be that hot.

Yeah I figured I would do a video on them since I don’t get them to often in my store
I love how prehistoric they look.
@@truthbetold89 same they look so amazing
I love my ornate ❤ although as they get larger they do become more aggressive towards Any fish, including senagals, and try to eat them.

How quickly do they grow from babies to adults?
It depends on diet and care but most will reach adulthood in the first couple years
I’d love to buy them. Would you ship?
They already sold but yes we do ship
@@bluedogaquatics1189 you’re only 2 1/2hrs from me. I’m in KCK. Please let me know if you get any Ornates !!
@@City_Cichlids will do
They eat frozen shrimp and any fillet you cut up, does not have to live
I feed mines pieces of frozen flounder

Tank is small and pebbles arent good.
