How episode is speaking about the the majority of blacks people in America lives who didn’t grow up with money. I like how they spoke about even if they did how it still will effect them from time to time. Even though they’ve overcome the capitalism every race deals with in America. Racism is still there as the foundation of this country to remind black people they still run this country. You have capitalism above all everyone sees racism in America but black people are the only ones that truly feel it in America. Black people don’t even have a traditional culture like these other races that come to the states running away from their countries. Black people are the only race in America that has a non traditional culture that’s why you see so many identity crises in the black race.

@Saucejones, That's actually a myth. Emmett did whistle at her. What she actually said was he didn't deserve anything that happened to him. What people tend not to notice about that case was back then segregation was still being enforced. So why was Emmett in a white owned store ? That's because that store only served black people. Carroll Bryant was well known in the black community for flirting with young black men. She had been flirting with Emmett since he came to town. It was also known that flirting with her outside of the store was a no no. Emmett was from Chicago so he didn't know the rules. When he saw her walking out of the store he whistled in a flirty manner like he had been doing. The problem came because other white people saw it. They told her husband and that's when things popped off. She made up lies about Emmett harassing her so her husband wouldn't beat her azz. There's a documentary about what really happened with his mother and his cousins who were there. All of them say Emmett did whistle at her. It's in RUclips if you'd like to watch it.💯

Racism has a meaning and Charleston as well as most black people get it wrong everytime. It's very simple...it's to disrimnate on someone strictly based on color of their skin. Whether it be a person of color being denied a job or 2 black guys jumping a white guy for being in the wrong neighborhood. Both are examples of racism but one is more powerful than the other. Just say black people just don't have the power white people have to use their racism to stay up and keep the other race down.
@Edwinthomas, That's not what racism is.🙄 Racism is systematic. One person can't do racism. There has to be a system to enforce racism and it has very little to do with discrimination. Giving a black person a higher position can be a act of racism. Like making someone like Clarence Thomas a supreme court judge. That's the opposite of discrimination. But it's racist because a system put him in power knowing he doesn't have black peoples interests in mind and is actually against black people. Racism is about power. Not discrimination. Hatred isn't necessarily a part of racism. It's business. That's why black people can't be racist. There is no power to enforce black racism. What you're talking about is bigotry. Bigotry is hating someone because of who or what they are. A act of bigotry can be done by anyone. Trans, gay, black, white hell you can be bigoted towards people with purple hair if thats what you hate. Bigotry doesn't need enforcement and a single individual can commit a act of bigotry. People tend to confuse the terms intentionally and unintentionally. Some people just want black people to have the ability to be racist because other racial groups have that ability. If you disagree then find a word that ends with ism that's not systematic and we can talk.💯
@divineintervention212 Racism is discrimination and prejudice against people based on their race or ethnicity Racism prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. Those are copied an pasted definition. What you and everyone else usually does is give EXAMPLES of racism and how it has been used againt people. The biggest example that we know of. That does not define the word though. The definition is very clear. You said an individual vs a system but there it is. It clearly say it can be by an individual.
@chappymoore2612 Okay then they should either publish their meaning or come up with another word because the definition of racism is clear and based on that any race can be that way on many scales. It isn't just simply based on who has the power to do what to who, that's just how our oppressors chose to use it. Make no mistake about it, if a black man punches a white man in the face simply because he is white and he feels like he is weaker because he is white, that is in fact a act of racism.
I'm so disturb by this because I grew up in a Dominican community and they were sooooo racist. Because I speak spanish they always let their guard down and said WILD stuff about Black people. So the fact that the latino guy is trying to "relate" or sympatize as if he doesn't see and hear it from his own community all the time, is insulting. It's patronizing.

@deaundreashannon8289 , this is how I interpreted your comment - "we all just people": anti black racist and black people responding to that racism are really just people who see the world differently. Neither party is particularly malevolent at heart. I disagree with this opinion. I believe and know that anti black racist are malevolent to their core.

CW HAS A BRAIN OF A GOD ❤❤❤❤❤
7:38 Carol Bryant lied about Emmit Till whistling at her and admitted it.

Charleston said them dr umar words n it hit every trip racism is systematic prejudice is a judgment
This was a real talk from this guy he needs to keep growing
The fabric of our lives 🙏🏾
@divineintervention212 Racism is discrimination and prejudice against people based on their race or ethnicity
Racism
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Those are copied an pasted definition. What you and everyone else usually does is give EXAMPLES of racism and how it has been used againt people. The biggest example that we know of. That does not define the word though. The definition is very clear. You said an individual vs a system but there it is. It clearly say it can be by an individual.
Nope rhat what whote people what us to believe but are scholars have a different meaning because us blks experience it
@chappymoore2612 Okay then they should either publish their meaning or come up with another word because the definition of racism is clear and based on that any race can be that way on many scales. It isn't just simply based on who has the power to do what to who, that's just how our oppressors chose to use it. Make no mistake about it, if a black man punches a white man in the face simply because he is white and he feels like he is weaker because he is white, that is in fact a act of racism.
@@edwinthomas1212Oh lord 😂
I'm so disturb by this because I grew up in a Dominican community and they were sooooo racist. Because I speak spanish they always let their guard down and said WILD stuff about Black people. anti black racist and black people responding to that racism are really just people who see the world differently. Neither party is particularly malevolent at heart.
