@@5intheus Good Morning! They haven’t even broken ground yet, but I believe the goal is by 2027….so hopefully it will be completed by late 2026…but I’ll check with the county to see if they’ve modified the timeline ☺️
Got to disagree on traffic, coming from Long Island the traffic is a world of difference down here. Florida traffic is something I could deal with, NY traffic was such a different nightmare.
Hi Brian! I totally agree when compared with traffic from other states! I often talk about that aspect in my other videos but since this was a Parrish to LWR comparison, I didn't bring that up. I came here from CO & that traffic was 🤯😵💫 compared to this...so I hear ya! And when we go back to the Denver area to visit family, I'm a complete nervous wreck driving there and can't wait to get back here!! What are the things you like/dislike about Parrish or LWR? Let us know your thoughts!😊
@@HomeswithNewman hi! So our home is almost finished being built in Parrish (Crosswind Point) and renting in Bradenton in a community right off of Lakewood Ranch blvd. Things I like about parrish is potential growth, I know it’s not a popular opinion but I want Parrish to be like Lakewood Ranch. I want the town center with the restaurants, I want that “new” look. I spend a lot of time in Lakewood ranch currently as far as stores and dining out because everything is there. I feel like everything is not there yet in Parrish. My biggest gripe with Parrish is exactly outside my new community on 301, it looks run down. I know they want to revitalize it I just wish that would start already. To me it’s an eye sore. I do appreciate that they plan on widening some of the roads by mocassasin wallow and 301. I hope north river builds a town center accessible to people from outside that community. Wouldn’t mind a target over by us as well. I know that will bring more traffic and I know a UTC is out of the question and close enough to drive to, just wish we had more. Cons about Lakewood ranch? Way out of our price range as you said in your video. We are getting a 4 bedroom in Parrish, getting something like that in Lakewood Ranch is like $300,000 more dollars it’s insane.
@@briannicholas2677 just beginning the process now. house won't be done until late 2023. looking forward to 50% reduction in property taxes vs what I pay presently here in Texas.
Great video! Thank you! Question: in terms of flood zones, how does Parrish compare to Lakewood Ranch? One of the main things I love about Lakewood Ranch is that the risk of flood is significantly less there compared to some other areas. What about Parrish? I am only considering "no evac" zones! 😊
@@HomeswithNewman Thank you so much! For sure, it's worth checking out both locations. I am happy I stumbled upon your video, as I knew nothing about Parrish until today. Thank you! 😊
And I'm sorry to hear you're not happy here in Parrish. That must be frustrating. And you ask a great question: Where can we go w/no traffic? Close by🤔maybe places like Myakka or Arcadia? Plant City maybe? I'm sure there are still plenty of other states with less traffic in certain areas, but it's difficult to say. I remember being a kid in the late 70's and it seemed like there was a lot less civilization 😉& much more rural country. Boy has this world changed...am I right?
I hear ya, Rick! I know! Which do you recommend? You know what’s ironic? We have a band & I have some great vocal mics…but have not taken the time to get one for the videos🤦🏼♀️. Let me know your recommendations 😊
Hi Linda! I've been here 10 years and seems like there's ALWAYS road construction🙄 That's why I really have to plan my driving time for sure! I still believe it's less traffic than where I lived in CO & certainly less than where I lived growing up outside of Richmond, VA...but it's still annoying!
Very interesting, thank you. Do you know when the new College campus will be open?
