    the entire tournament, I was trying HARD to figure out who she reminds me of....I dont like comparing tennis players to each other, because the beauty of the game, starts with individuals expressing themselves with tennis racquets. Thats why I LOVE tennis. Its a sport that has an extremely unique way of allowing players to express themselves and how they approach the game.
    That said, in her match against Muchova, it dawned on me that she plays A LOT like Lleyton Hewitt and Mats Wilander...especially the early-80s version of Wilander. She doesnt remind me female players, at all, to be quite blunt. This girl had an epic tournament. And that match against Sabalenka, will go down as one of the great matches of this tournaments' history.

      Some are, but others are poorly-adjusted, weirdos. Coco's mother stressed that she made sure Coco had a well-rounded upbringing, with friendships, horseplay with her siblings, girly stuff, etc. Isolation and overprotectiveness wasn't going to happen.

    Aryna Sabalenko shows that she's angry that she didn't win, you can see it on her face... Coco Gauff deservedly won the US Open, she's great, she has a strong character, she doesn't give up, she fights until the very end.

    Cori is an amazing role model in the world where we struggle to find any. What happened that these days younger generation's main objective and dream in life is to be an influencer and having that 'quick-insta-fam'e with no substance. When I was trying out in acting, first auditions etc. that world seemed a bit superficial but still these jobs required some hard work and talent. I was almost Leon in the new Resident Evil games :)
    Referencing that one great South Park episode, let's rise the bar a little bit :)

    Much as I love Coco, I have to admit I'm surprised she won this just because her opponent seemed to hit the ball so much harder... and yet Coco found the answer. Those of you who understand the technical part of the game, am i right in seeing that Sab's strokes were laser-like and that Coco's were lest fast, less powerful, and more defensive? Help me out here.

    • @epicurusman778

    • @lionelwashington8419
      @lionelwashington8419 10 месяцев назад +10

      You are right Even though Coco lost the first set her plan changed little she wanted to slowly wear her down which is what she did and used her young legs, speed, and defense to her advantage. The opponent wasn't ready for that defensive onslaught that ensued

    • @carolinegardner8214
      @carolinegardner8214 10 месяцев назад +10

      She got more depth in the forehand and placed the ball in the middle meaning Saba could not get the cross court forehand or get any harmful angles which hurt coco in the first set. Coco is intelligent because she changed tactics to win the championship beating a bigger stronger player. That’s pretty smart. She used her defensive weapon to neutralise a powerful player and the H2H is now 4-2 to Coco
