Actually quite a struggle here to not burst into tears of nostalgia and love for this music. Howard Jones was the guy who got me into synthesizers. Yesterday I talked to Tears For Fears about sound banks that I have been programming and delivering to them. I have also delivered sounds to Scritti Politti. It all started with Howard Jones Human's Lib. Still got the cassette tape.

This album inspired me to learn how to play the keyboard and program synths. I'm a nobody musically, but what a great release it is to come home from a stress filled day at work and play this whole album now. Now with soft synths. it's no stress to set up the keys and just play. Human's Lib is still in my top three albums of all time. What a masterpiece!!

Absolutely Brilliant!!!....this song makes me cry!!....I don't know why!!....the music and lyrics just have this overpowering effect!!....I guess that's the magic of Howard, one of the 80's greatest musicians!!........thankyou Howard!!!!!

I owe my music career to this genius. Howard’s a classically trained pianist with the talent that captured the true sound of the 80’s, and he used very little sequencing live. Met him in Perth and he promised, if I get a Jupiter 8, he would sign it, might need to take out a second mortgage though :)

A highly under rated musician. This was a class tune which most people at Live Aid loved. Can't be too bad. Very talented man.

Glad you enjoyed it but not unheard of here (Australia). He had a major tour here in 85 and again with a more personal tour in 2007. I went to both and stayed up all night to watch Live Aid. Also he just toured here (2012) where I saw him again. This song still moves me to tears and is one of my favourite of his, ever since I bought Humans Lib when it first came out.
Really glad to see he's crossing generations though and hope people continue to embrace him.
