    Hi! I just found your channel and I am so happy I can't even tell you. I lived in Miami for 7 years in a Cuban household and I fell in love with the culture but especially the food. I did have one question for you, though. In the household I was in they used olive oil for everything, especially mojo. Is there a reason you use a different oil or is that just a personal preference? Keep being awesome! Thanks.

    • @blacktrucksfly
      @blacktrucksfly 3 года назад

      You generally do not want to use olive oil for frying as it has the lowest smoke point of all the cooking oils and will smoke and burn easily. Olive oil is for eating fresh. Vegetable oils are for frying.

    • @Chefzeecooks
      @Chefzeecooks  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you!!! You can adobo if you like! I rarely use adobo because I usually make my own or use Kosher Salt or Pink Himalayan Salt. Any of these will do. With this dish, the garlic, sour oranges, and oregano are so bold that you gives the dish so much flavor which is why regular salt worked just fine. But again, you can use whatever you have on hand. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
