You guys forgot the most famous Yamaha RD 350 bikes on which Kenny Roberts won the world championship.
I was always a Honda guy, but Yamaha has made me a believer, they are charting the future for motorcycles by domminating in every category, passion like that certainly shows in their amazing products, if your going to make something it might as well be the best. Love that quote.
It would be fitting if I’d become a Yamaha motorcycle tech. I tune and work on pianos and also work on bikes for living. Amazing history they have!
Yamaha makes good saxophones
Mau tanya kenapa Yamaha trail Lt2 100 Enduro thn 71 dan 72 tdk ada terinfo ya...thx
One of the best stories on yamaha so far! True legend!
I have owned a 1983 Maxim 750 for close to 30 years now so thanks for mentioning the Midnight Maxim.
Behind the XS Eleven at 3:55, there's an SR500, which shared everything except piston rod with the SR400, produced from 1978 to 2021 with minor changes. The XT500 was also a very popular motorcycle, and went on from mid 70s to mid 80s unchanged.
Thx jadi tambah wawasan nih sejarah motor Yamaha ya...👌👍🙏
YAMAHA the best motorcycle in the world God bless ❤️❤️❤️
Don't forget the FZ and mighty FZR!
The FZR set the benchmark and the sportsbike to beat in the late 80's and early 90's, just as the R1 was in the late 90's
The FZR was only dethroned by the CBR900RR in 1995.
1998 r1 had the advance look which is used till now 😄
Overall good.. BUT you have missed out the RD/LC models of two stroke and the 2001 to 2005 FZ1 model and the RZ two stroke model, all these models of Yamaha are important in the overall history of the Yamaha Motor corporation
I love the Yamaha industry❤🔥
I was a Yamaha guy from the beginning It turned out to the best with my first motorcycle the YBX Yamaha sees the best in everthing That is why thier products are more than perfect
Skipped right over several models. Too much to list I guess. Thanks for the video though. I came for the 1968 R2 C350

Being a big fan of the Yamaha XS650, I was disappointed to see your 1978 650 Special at 3:46. With its cast grab bar, grab bar mounted taillight & king/queen seat, that is clearly not a 1978 model. It has to be at least a 1980, maybe newer. Too bad the original Special didn't get the full credit it was due.
Where did all the beutifull 2 strokes go......
What happened to the years from 1959 to 1964?

I'm always happy to see the history of Yamaha presented to the world however I don't like it when inaccuracies are allowed to become widely held as correct. In this case the video shows the "TZ700". This is incorrect as there never was a model TZ700. From the very first production even the 694cc version was called TZ750 and not TZ700. Please correct this in future videos.
Missing RX100
...guess the FJR was made by Chrysler?

In the word history there is a story. Not here I fear
And thus, the XT 500 was never created, guys, if you do a historical video, be sure to be historically accurate, you lost my respectfor that (I'm a huge XT fan) and lost 10 point out of a possible 5.
No mention of the RD 250 and 350 either, or the later RZ 250 and 500.
@@ExternalInputs, yes, great bikes indeed.
My point was, they left some iconic ones out of the list, and included some that were nothing revolutionary, well known perhaps. The XT500 isn't an obscure or rare beast, it won the inaugural Paris Dakar after all, and keep in mind that it was only Yamaha's second crack at a 4 stroke not to mention the fact that it was dry sump, 80% of the engine casings are magnesium. Those are things you expect on a modern "race" bike, surely impressive for something 40+ years old keeping in mind that it was their second attempt at 4t. All of these little things add up to something iconic.
One could argue, that was a bit of a clumsy oversight.
Mine still sees real miles, one was clearly abused by the previous owner/s, but it keeps on running. Every single part on it (except for the frame) can still be bought from my local Yamaha dealership.
How many bikes can make that claim? How many will 40 years from now? I'd kinda like to see what's left of a 2018 yz250x half a century from now, but I likely won't. They'd probably just 3D print another...
I love TZR
