He probably wanted to talk to her and tried to approach her, and her goons prevented him and made up ANOTHER lie about him trying to "physically assault" her. They need to claim a tribe that speaks to their ancestry/roots to be recognized by them as native american. Right? Okay, that's the point you're trying to make and I get that. We have hundreds of different tribes and indigenous groups that hail in Mexico that are native to Mexico and who have history dating back many thousands of years. Those indigenous people from Mexico are native american. Do you see what I mean? Mexico is part of the Americas 🌎 my ancestors are native American too. I don't claim that is so for me because I'm mestizo. But many Mexicans are native american and y'all don't recognize that for whatever reason.

Shortly after Littlefeather's death, Navajo writer and activist Jacqueline Keeler interviewed Littlefeather's two sisters, who said that their family is not Native American and that Littlefeather fabricated her Native American ancestry. When questioned the Apache tribe claimed no affiliation with her, the Yaqui tribe claimed no affiliation with her. Her own two surviving sisters said it was a hoax and asked the academy to remove the tribute because it was based on a lie. But your claim is, because she had ancestry in a country that was previously full of indigenous peoples that were killed off or died from disease and then flooded with Europeans, is that she MUST BE Indian. Dumbest logic ever. That would make every Canadian and North American an Indian as well. Your statement is false, your logic is flawed. Sorry but you are just wrong.
@@lucasyup the articles I had read from The Post and from the New York Times was that she was born in the US but had Mexican heritage by her grandparents on her father's side from what I remember. Which essentially makes her mestizo as well. The logic you're calling "dumbest" is your own because that is how you're seeing things and that's not what I'm saying. Just cause you're born in the US or Canada doesn't make you Indian. No she wasn't. It was a publicity stunt that she failed to complete. John Wayne never did anything to her. She didn't include her lies about him in her BS until after he died. Brando was a coward who couldn't face John Wayne after being publicly humiliated by him for hitting on his wife.
Sacheen was actually Maria Cruz, an actress in a relationship with Brando. She was also in the film the trial of billy Jack. This was supposed to be a promotion for the film. Tom Laughlin and Brando were good friends Brando's son christian was a student of Tom's. It's all a stunt.

The trial of built Jack. She had a part in that movie. Tom and Marlon were friends. His son christian Brando was a karate student of Laughlin's. Maria couldn't finish her speech. But she was never blacklisted and was in numerous films and tv spots because of this. John Wayne never did anything. Never said anything. In fact she didn't even bring Wayne into her lies until after his death. Clint Eastwood's attempt at humor may have been a mistake but to slander John Wayne is criminal and anyone promoting it should be sued. I have watched the awards ceremony numerous times and read witnesses testimony. John Wayne did nothing to threaten Maria Cruz. He was not restrained or removed from stage. Maria's family discussed this in detail and discredited all her lies. She was a college student and aspiring actress portraying a character and never stopped.

Your entire story has been proven false. After her death BOTH of her surviving sisters came forward stating that the whole thing was fake, their family heritage is Mexican/American, she was a member of 0 indian tribes, and her ancestry was researched back to 1850 with no indian connections found. As for John Wayne being "restrained by 6 men" the person that made the accusation, only one of several hundred people in attendance, changed their story 6 times over the years. Their final version was "he was really upset". Great journalism here, unfortunately its all false. Side note: The surviving sisters of Little Faker sent a letter to the accademy asking for the tribute to be removed since it was based on a lie.

@@Light_Within Ummm totally not true. Mexico was settled by Spanish conquistadors and by the time she was born her bloodline was probably mostly European. See most of the indigenous people of Mexico died from disease brought by the Europeans. Now according to DNA I'm 60 percent indigenous. But I claim to be American. I also speak Spanish fluently and have a home in Mexico. So yeah...this has been thoroughly researched and this lady was less "indian" than I am. And I don't claim it. But anyways stay woke sunshine. I'm happy for her After all these years. Despite John Wayne's behaviour, he is still an american hero at least in his movies. We all knew the man was a real jerk but I don't want to see his name treated like trash. All is a matter of respect and what Little feather proved is that Times are changing and truth always emerge. Native american should be respected as much as other comunities which is still not the case today. Think also what asians Can feel when they are insulted in the streets to go back to China. Did you watch the video of her at the academy awards? There was no temper tantrum thrown. She calmly declined the award on his behalf. Why didn’t he do it himself? Because he’s a White man and he thought it best to allow someone with actual experience on the matter speak about it. It’s very telling that you literally don’t care, nor wish to care about racism towards indigenous peoples because in your comment about the so called “temper tantrum” you decided to call her an insult relating to her culture.
