Mike is probably the best storytelling driver besides Schrader in my opinion. These two guys are who I'd want to hang with around a campfire throwing back beers and listening to war stories from the old school days of driving.
@@mikefeil3568 That was an absolutely awesome show, with the power-washing of the steel outdoors, Mikey playing with the chairs, Kenny and his folks-isms, and Allen trying to play traffic cop.
Love his hat... Sunday Money was the name of Dale’s boat !!! Mikey owed Sr a lot, no one believed he could get any better than a middle of the packer or nearer the back of it. Dale gave him solid equipment and boom Dies helping him get his 1st win and that win being the Super Bowl of Motorsport !!!
My favorite fact about Lake Speed is that he beat Ayrton Senna for the World Karting Championship. Would have loved to have seen him get a chance in a good car in a top series.
the more i watch this one the more priceless it is...........thank you both, Dale you are a natural gem.......and michael...........just love u hun... u just stay Mikey, thats ur happy place!
Yeah its really nice to hear this stories whenever its off the track or what was happening at that time when the cameras not on and from the drivers perspective
Best second career Dale.. man pure gold you keep putting out. There has not been a bad interview yet..awesome bud.. awesome.all the background candy sure is cool to see too. Thanks a ton for sharing.
The pure fact that they can sit down now and laugh about all this stuff is pure gold. This is inside racing that very few of us get to see, and it's refreshing to re-live. Being an official for another series, I know many "inside stories"
Lmao!!! I remember that race. Ok Jr had the straight away alright. The car looked like it went to a demolishing derby after words. But that was racing the good ole days
@@wards1fan For all we know you're the kind of person who expects celebrities/famous athletes to kiss your ass when you meet them. I mean if you've had conversation with Mikey then give us some detail as to what happened. Or was it more like you stood around a group of people while he was signing autographs?
"Dale Jr's in there talking to NASCAR, he hit everything in this place. Hell, he was on fire once, I think." Dale Sr was gold even when he wasn't trying to be 😂
Dale Jr, first off let me say this was a hilarious video. i grew up in Whitesville Ky and watched the Waltrips and the Greens, race at Kentucky motor speedway. What memories. The real reason why I am commenting is I have been glued to your Dirty Mo podcast for the last month, and since the tragic death of your dad NASCAR died for me as well, and I want to apologize for not allowing myself to watch you and your career. I am so sorry for keeping you in the shadows of your dad. You deserve to and rightfully so have earned and created your own shadow , if you will, along side your dad. You seem like an awesome guy and again Im sorry for giving up after that day. Thanks.
Jr. definitely knows how to tell a story. I'm not sure who's funnier, Jr. or Mikey. All I know is I could listen to both of them tell stories all week long.
Great interview - love these videos. Watching the 2001 Pepsi 400 final lap clips with Mikey blocking for Jr. just makes this interview that much cooler - what a great relationship.
ALL, of these racers seem to be "characters", in one way or another! Some are born storytellers, some "have" great stories to tell, some are movie stars, some rock stars! Definitely plenty of material, for a podcast show, like Dale's!
Also met Mikey in the NAPA tent.. Dover first race is always near my birthday.. Mikey spent a few just shooting the bull.. that was a cool day for sure. The bobble heads signed of you two are tucked away safe
Out of all the Dale Jr Downloads I have watched this particular one had me laughing out loud. It was great see all of them laughing about stories of themselves. Keep up the great work!
Hey Dale tell Michael what you said on the radio after a rain delay late restart at Daytona in July.(2003?). It was my first time renting race radios and you and Michael were running hard but you had the faster car #8 of course 😉. I’ll never forget. Michael did on of his signature “cut you off moves”. You said “What the F...k Michael!!!” Lol. “Tell him stay out the way!!” I laugh my butt off. Good old days man. I miss em! Thank you for sharing your stories and having great people on your show. Chip.
Mikey is such a hoot. Few people I'd rather go to dinner and have a few drinks with. I can feel the cramps in my cheeks from all the laughing I'd be doing.
Imagine a podcast hosted by all 3 of these guys every day. Just imagine the content you would get with the guests. It would be the #1 podcast within a year or two if they ventured outside of Nascar like Joe Rogan does. I seriously believe they would beat Rogan at his game. The chemistry is just phenomenal. You can feel the connection between these guys.
Love his "Sunday Money" hat which was Dale Sr's boat's name. This video is hilarious. I downloaded a podcast service JUST for the Dale Jr download. Mikey, you might not have been the best success but you've overcome and watching your podcast with your ex-wife and how you treat her...you are a gentleman.
This guy is naturally hilarious. I enjoy Mike's humor
Michael's racing career is a secondary issue , it's his personality and sense of humor that always makes him great . 🤓
Definitely agree on that. I hope they never stop the grid walks
Nobody can tell stories better than Southern people. That’s just the way it is.
Michaels impersonation of Dale sr talking about Jr hitting everything at Martinsville is the funniest thing.
Mike is probably the best storytelling driver besides Schrader in my opinion. These two guys are who I'd want to hang with around a campfire throwing back beers and listening to war stories from the old school days of driving.
I could listen to Dale senior stories for the rest of my life and be one happy guy.
DaaBoys2138 Dale Jr is a huge Nirvana fan.
I could listen to Dale Jr and Michael tell stories all day! Michael is so funny!
“Those Gargoyles sent me right over the edge” 😂🤣 I hollered! Mikey is so funny
Allen, Mikey, Kenny, and Johnny need to reunite for an "Inside The NBA"-type show because the current show on FS1 ain't cuttin' it.

I completely agree with you. And the people that dislike it are just those people that live their life being dicks.
Absolutely!
Man I laughed so hard. I could sit and listen to you guys ALL day long :) Thanks Dale and Mikey for sharing. Awesome Stuff!!!
Mike is a funny dude.
I called him mikey once and he corrected me... he isnt that nice of a person.. dont be fooled by him on camera near friends
"Ah No, Imma get knocked out" - Michael Waltrip

He still stayed a mid pack guy
I had took notice of him at Talladega several times in the #30 yellow Pennzoil car. Plate racing seemed to suit him.
My favorite fact about Lake Speed is that he beat Ayrton Senna for the World Karting Championship. Would have loved to have seen him get a chance in a good car in a top series.
If that's true, I can tell you Senna fans don't want to hear it.
@@scottawes921 i can tell you as a lake speed fan that the senna fans will get over it.

Mikey is such a legend, true pleasure to listen to.
Love it when Dale Jr reflects back on The Intimidators earlier days in Nascar with his guest. Please ask Kenny Schrader to join you.
mwwilli8803 Kenny was there.
I think Kenny would adament about not talking about the tragedy. ... But I'd love to hear many of the stories he has.
