I am lower student from lower class. My friends always looking down at me because they think i was stupid student. Their act make me felt sick and broken. I study really hard to prove them wrong. I then became one of the school best student and get best spm result. Revenge is so sweat.
Studying lower class doesn't mean that they cannot be successful in the future. There is no denying that the first class students always look down on the lower classes' students. I feel so ashamed being the first class' student. 😂 I like to be friends with lower classes' students because they r different with the first class students. In first class, there r a lot of fake friendship. 😣
I will. I will f-ing repeat my SPM if that's the reward. I'll take extra subjects even. But give that money first, at least 50k as a deposit (I wanna buy things too. Uniforms need RM to buy, ok) 😂
no,nowadays 2004- born students are the most struggle students because we are the first batch to face all 21st century learning all new things SPM student 2019 compared to PT3 students 2019 PT3 students that year exam was harder than SPM...can u imagine SPM and PT3 students that year learned the same topic 80%-90% same urhh and the format were different and each time exam we were facing a new format it's okay but give bad effect to our result, first batch students result need really FOCUS & STUDY
@No name yet yes.. tbh the 1999 is the first batch to face all this stupidity. Plus the spm for 1999 batch is also 70% are HOTS questions. So basically 1999 is the start of the new era of HOTS.
I cried during the 2019 SPM and got a fever for that month, can't sleep, need to study or else game over, I manage to stay and wrote the exam without even stop for like drinking water or not. It's like a battle, you get bad score, you'll lose (A disgrace to the family and hard time for further my studies) . Somehow I managed to get 4A so I'm waiting to pursue my study in form 6 . Waiting for the application rn and I'm taking a good rest y'all.
Yes, Malaysian exams are tough but once you are able to memorize all subjects then you'll be fine - it's so easy to score A's in all subjects. But once you get to Uni overseas (my experience was in Australia), you start to realize that you can't memorize anymore. You have to think out of the box and link all the chapters that you've learnt in class and you need to paraphrase all the sentences you write down in exams. If you were caught writing down word for word of whatever you memorized from text books or reference books, journals or articles, even if your answer was correct, the lecturer would minus off your marks for plagiarizing. This is what we Malaysians lack because we were only taught to memorize. I can tell you it was a culture shock at that time but i'm so glad i was able to get through Uni in Australia
Easy for your...not for batch 04...so many KBAT(kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi) questions... sometimes make you want to learn all thing...even though it not from your levels...
yeahhhh it's so difficult ... my brain cells hurts very much when learning math.... i really don't know why .. when it hurst so much i started to get headache ... help me hm😌😌
70% of my class failed that subject, I'm in the other 30% who passed but I can't show off because my score is so low that I almost failed😅😅 tbh among the students that passed my score is the lowest Edit: this is not real SPM, it was the final exam for Form 4
Am i the only who love History subject..i guess its okay to be different..haha😂 Edit : glad there's buch of history geeks...i took History subject in STPM level..believe me..its one of the hardest...
One bad thing in my school is if you are ‘smarter’ or picked science stream in F4, you would get the nicer and bigger classes compared to economic, accounting and arts
our class was smaller 😂 I take science stream, hmm maybe because we have less student that take science stream 🤔 Our class had 21 or 22 students meanwhile others has almost 30 students or more
I think thats not a bad thing because they sort students clearly on their own strenght...science stream students must be smart to easily understand their difficult subjects. But the other classes also not bad..as I said they put u in the right places ...maybe science stream students cant do arts like art's student.😙
Why malaysia exam took 1 month instead one week? Because malaysia have difference school with difference subject or course. To be fair and to ensure all student from variety school get their chance to enter university or college the goverment cover the exam. Malaysia exam have 20+ paper in every subjects. Science religion art language etc. Before exam the student must choice what paper they should take base their study and their school.
I got 5A’s for UPSR, 11As for PT3 but I flunked my SPM because I just cannot take the pressure. I had so much stuff going on in my life that year, and the pressure for SPM just made my mental health worse. But I don’t blame myself though,
I've been going through the same with U,, I got straight A's for both UPSR n PMR but did pretty bad for SPM as a lot happened to me that year..but I rise up and manage to did well in STPM and now pursuing my degree.. JUST WANNA TELL U TO NEVER GIVE UP AND WISH U BEST OF LUCK😊
UPSR I got 2A 2B and 1C PMR I got 2A and 6C Then I went to Military School in PD, Negeri Sembilan. I’m not a good student since I was not really like to study. But when i was sitting for SPMV trial examination, I got really2 bad result. 1D and another subject was E (8 of them). Then i sit down and think about my future. At that moment, i start my new life to study smart since the real examination just about 3 month to come. As a result, after my hard working, with my friends and teachers, I got 7 A, 1 B and 1 C. Not only that, i was awarded as a Best Student Academic for the school of the year 2005. I was never expecting that because there was a lot of students in my school which is much more brilliant than me. My parents was so happy, and nothing else i can give my beloved mother and father except my best SPMV result for them as a gift. And until now, it has been 15 years since I got the best moment in my life. Always fresh in my memory. Thankfully to Almighty God, Allah SWT. #SKMasai 1994-2000 #SMKDatoPenggawaTimur 2001-2003 #SekolahPertukanganPerantisTenteraDarat 2004-2005
I know someone got 10As 1B. Its biology if i remember correctly. Then he retake the next year. What i want to say is don't afraid. And wish you best of luck.
I am really lazy to study. But how i aced most of my subject? The answer is every exam have the pattern and glitch, and use ur intelligence to hack the exam. So i can tell most of the student are really stress for their exam especially SPM right. Let me share how i hacked my spm 2006 and scored 6a1, 3a2 and 1b3. I am not a student of neither MRSM nor SBP, i am just graduated SMK Berangan at Tumpat, Kelantan. The Hack: 1. Finish your homeworks by yourself, dont ever try to copy from fren, make sure the lazy fren copy from you. Right or wrong doesnt matter, what matter is, the fren who are smarter than you will detect your wrongdoing, will try to correct your homeworks and take the time to correct it. Learn from mistake. Making mistake in homework contribute nothing in your exam marks. Make sure u remember what is your wrong. Dont make that mistake twice. Making second and same mistake is a choice and stupidity. 2. The test, quarter year exam, mid year exam and final exam form 4 and so on except SPM make sure u check what you doing wrong. Likes what i said before, remember what is your mistakes, dont repeat it. Dont be stupid to repeat it again. 3. Past year question. Try to answer it alone with the help of text book. Check the pattern of the question. Try to forecast what is this year question in SPM. If you try to do past years question, you will detect the question pattern. Trust me, your forecast of this year spm exam, 70% will be true. No need from "cikgu pakar, cikgu penggubal" so on. You yourself can predict what is the question will be asked. I have done it. Yes. I succeed. 4. Dont read and mesmerize. Read and understand the concept and elaborate in your own word. Eventhough if your have the misconception when u elaborate in your own words, make sure go back to tips no 1, 2, 3. Your misconception will be corrected. Remember, "making same mistake is a choice and stupidity." Sound crazy, but this is my bet during my spm year, 2006. Now i am a pharmacist. Happily ever after, didnt choose doctor, bcos i have time and the salary is quite good, and the my works is not so difficult. P/s: this thing is not working for my degree. Haha, because of carry marks and the negative marking concept during my degree years. But, i make ways to my degree easily, 9As SPM, 4.00 for my foundation. I just only need to maintain during my degree years and not be dropped out, just follow the flow. 😂😂😂😂
yes agreed! for my spm english paper, my teacher asked us to memorize 1 story and used them for the essay (where you continue a sentence) in every exam. guess what.. I got A+ 🤣🤣🤣
You was not lazy... u did study really hard n make time to analyze it. You are the typical student who claim they *didnt study* but then ace in every subject 😂
You know what, this is quite good topic to speak in front of the minister of education so they'll know how to improve more the education system. I mean, for students like us, we should give a lot of chances to spread our ideas ,creativity and so on. And that's my opinion.
You know why this system was implemented? Because the Malaysia students is performing really well in examinations. The university have a hard time to enlist the intakes. So, the education level got increases. The students can only choose to educate and gain experiences themselves to increase their capabilities. The roles of parents, teachers also important to lessen the pressure to getting good result and give motivation after getting bad result.
Kalau sekolah agama ada 22 subjects tambah lagi dengan silibus yang dah bertukar aku nak nangis jer rasa setiap kali exam 😭😂dgn bahasa tambahan lagi jadi 23 kalau rehat pun menghadap buku jer 😭tengok buku tu sampai nak tembus nasib aku tak makan dengan buku2 skali😂
all exams, whether standard 1 exam or spm, its way to evaluate students. if you prepare well, study hard, practice hard, and get along with teachers and books, a very difficult question becomes easy, contrarily, if you just prepare and study a month before exam, then you are in big trouble. And please make use of the library.
the thought i will be taking SPM next year as a first batch to experience the new format make me feel anxious about how my results should be since this year we didn't get the chance to learn a lot 😭 it makes me feel more anxious when im a science stream students like im VERY BAD at addmaths , physics , biology , chemistry (im bad at calculation part ) and maths 😭😭 i feel like i would cry if my result will not turned out just like how i want ,and i will be lost, like totally lost🙂
I remember during the meetings with the teachers and parents, my add math teacher look at my add math score which is d. And then he look at my math which is A+. Its normal to get math A, since math is kinda easier than addmath. And then he looks at me. "Theres nothing to worry. This is normal. Addmath score normally is half of math score. You are going to be okay." i was dumbfounded. Like, arent you supposed to at least tell me whats wrong with my studies so that i can improve. XDXD turn out he was right. I do get A for both in my spm.
5As for upsr, 9As for pt3, 8As, 1B for spm, 4.00 for foundation, now in medic. Its the most stupidest decision i have ever made. The toughness of it is just out of this world.. But yeah, spm was quite easy i think compared to foundation and degree the only hard thing is prolly addmath but nothing repeated exercises can't help. My advice is dont procrastinate drg ur studies for sbjects that have calculations in it. Subjects like bio , sej etc is last min. Shud be ok. Just memorize the entire reference book. How i did it? I memorized all the details page by page. Then i repeat 3x. And then another 3x w/o looking at the book. By the day before the exam. U sud be able to memorize everything without the need to look at the book. Subjects that needs calculations, make sure to practice everyday (do extra practice at least 30 questions for each subject other than the homework. I always finish my hw during recess time or subjects like sivik) and the basic concepts must be in ur hand. For me log is the easiest for addmath cause it's wsy of solving entirely depends on the law of the logarithms which u need to have in the palm of ur hand. If u cant understand refer to utube etc (which i did in foundation and even in medic). Lastly what im gonna say is that there's a lot of ways that could help u in ur studies. U just need to take the initiative to do it. Be strong for those who gonna do it this year and the next. U guys can do it
Add math was my nightmares, I know how to solve the questions when doing exercises, but when it comes to exam my brain is empty!!!wtf...maybe add math hate me
I'm probably one of the stubborn highly targeted student to get straight A in school during my secondary school years. I never ever let school or teachers to determine my fate or future. I just refuse to pleased them and do whatever I want, I have my own goal and that's what I want to achieve. In that way, I have minimal pressure and stress. it allows me to get consistent academic achievement throughout the years. So nobody can or dare to judge me in school. Good thing my parents never pressure me also. As long as I pass and no drastic changes in my grades, they are OK. I really feel bad for kids who are pressured so much by parents and school to be the best in everything but they never care about the kids' mental health.
My parents are the pressuring type but talking about mental health, its actually about how we handle our thoughts and emotions. Be positive Most parents are thinking about the children's future. With a good result, we are given more choices to choose from. Thats why they pressured us to study more and try to get the best result in exams Besides we can still follow what they want while doing what we want. I studied hard and was even sent to tuitions at night but at the same time I joined lots of co-curricular activities, which I love a lottt
idk if i should cry or being happy with the fact that my batch is taking KSSM slearning standard and not KBSM. Im not trying to compare but its a fact that being in KSSM batch is more dificult. The last batch that took KBSM standard is 2003 and I was born in 2004
Sometimes its hard when you live in a country that has so many races, religions and ethnicities, and are supposed to learn at least 2 languages at school. Its sometimes hard for me to score well on certain subjects because im not very good in those certain languages the subjects are in and am forced to just remember the answers word for word in order to get a higher grade. I used to learn 4 languages in school, and speak a whole other language at home and it really stressed me out. Its really hard to study, but its way harder to study a subject thats in a language youre not very used to.
Probably because we have formats for answers. A ‘In your opinion’ question is an opinion. There shouldn’t be a formats of opinions. If you have formats, you are restricting the thinking process. That’s how you ended up with students not being able to think critically and solve their own problems. ‘Berikan pengajaran yg anda dapat daripada puisi ini’ should not have formats of answers. They should be left open. Students should be left to think creatively, not based on formats. But it’ll make it difficult for teachers to mark. Therefore, we need to change the way we do our exam. It’s messed up.
Hi! I just found your channel! There aren't many videos by malaysian youtubers who talk about life growing up in malaysia. Good work, man. Subscribing now!
Hi there! Thanks so much! It is something I've been meaning to vlog about and it's nice to see people watching it. Hope to do more on these kind of topics!
Got straight A’s for UPSR, PMR, & SPM. But i failed to score 4 flat in STPM. STPM IS CRAZZYYYY DIFFICULT! Now I’m a chemical science graduate, until now still didn’t get a job😆
omg so lucky😭😭 can u give me a tips hehe especially how to score on addmaths and physics 😭 im currently a form 4 students and bc of this outbreak , we didnt learn much so do u have any tips that i can use hehe thankiu ❤
Me: Didn't get a job yet? Woah... InsyaAllah nnti ada la tu rezeki Also me: *take a peek at my exam result from upsr until spm, because i didn't take stpm or stam* Hmmm... a, b, c, d.. except failed. Okay.
ツ a i n sure😊 i always did practice everyday especially on the past years’ questions. That’s really helps because sometimes lembaga peperiksaan just repeat the same questions but with different sentences. For physics, please score paper 2 for the most and do always ask your teacher how to answer the questions just like the answer scheme. For addmath, just keep on practicing everyday. You can do it! Goodluck!
nur dini Ahmadi hahah betul sgt. Bila masuk stpm rasa bodoh pulak tetiba. Mathematics dia , addmath basic. Bio pulak tersangatlah detail. Kimia is easy because i love kimia so much hahaha punya la target nk skor 4 flat tp last2 x dapat jgk sbb soalan2 dia susah gilaaaa I can’t brain hahaha rse mcm degree lagi senang pula
I got 7A in UPSR, but got 5A in PT3. I felt like I'm a topper to a dropper, but consequently I'm more motivated now compared to last year💪 Sad truth: I studied longer a day during MCO compared to my school day pre-MCO🌚 - I can see that Malaysia education system is improving bcz they have added a lot of KBAT and HOTS questions which encourage us to think out of the box✨
I used to stay at boarding school as science stream students. Yes we need to study and attended additional classes from morning until night. Even at evening. But I cannot achieve my target and cried all days. But now I did not pursue science and feel better
In my opinion, due to many progression and many changes in msia edu system nowadays, students starting to use their brain to think and giving opinion without relying on textbooks. I was a 2017 spm candidate which during that time use new format, HOTS everywhere and question that approach to more real life application. What I observed, due to the new format, learning method where u memorise and vomit it all on paper during spm can't be used anymore. New learning method that I used was understand the application of that things in real life. Yeayh SPM still the same as u said, tough, academic based and high pressuring but due to revolutionized spm, some subjects especially science and math and language seem more interesting than usual. During my time, i dont even memorise all the poems eng or bm nor memorise all the add math formula. Yet I still manage to get A's. History also become more easy to answer (some say hard because they use the old method) because the paper now just need ur understanding ang give opinion. All in all, you and I lived in different era, and format but same subjects and syllabus and different approach of learning. You may say that spm is hard but for me it is hard due to good reason and it can be not hard if we progress our learning method with progress format and syllabus
We are lucky spm is not as competitive as those china 高考 and our time table is even shorter than taiwan. In Taiwan they have自习课 and they study till night though we have tuition but is not compulsory for everyone. Dont think SPM is hard, it's just a measurement on how discipline a student can manage their time. At the end of the day is just a bonus if u passed with flying colours else u can still continues studying form 6. That is not the end of the world if u can't pass with flying colours result
Well said...compare to others country likes korea...Japan .Their are really stress out with the long period schedule at school.Feel bless study at Malaysia eventhough not too good. For me its depends on your parents.Chinese parents too strict to their children when its come to study. But surely not only chinese but also others parents.Sometimes I was thought parents can be blame and sometimes also thanks to them.sorry for my bad english
true. i was hoping when our government change, our education system is also changing. i was expecting we could choose what we want to learn after taking pt3 examination. in my school, my counselor told us that we are not "mature enough" to pick what we want to learn. honestly, i was very much offended by that. when we were form 1, they could say that. but after surviving three years in a rough time, constantly battling to prepare for pt3, it's just bollocks. there are a lot of people who loves biology AND art but couldn't take art because of the package they gave us. :')
If you mean art as in Pendidikan Seni Visual, a friend of mine took that for his extra electives and he is a science student. Try to ask your teacher abt it. Idk abt you guys but back in 2015 when I was seating for SPM that year, we do take extra subject such as PSV, tassawur islam and accounting.
i'm here watch ur youtube and feel sad because I realized I'm a corona batch ,so I have to take spm when 18 years old I thinks I forget addmath formula economy formula ,account formula but no all formula just half .
The sorted out class system base on academic achievement quite a nightmare. On my experience, I was transferred to another school in mid of Form 1 since my family moved out to another district. In a former school, I was on the 2nd rank, and in the new school I was placed in the lowest class, 6th in the ranking. The reason because they don't want to kacau the existing number of students in the high/mid ranking classes since it was already in mid of the year. It was kinda stressful as most of my new classmates are troublesome and not really into learning and academics. They love making noise during class, disrespectful to teacher, smokers, kaki bully, kacau student yang lalu sebelah koridor...etc. Even the teacher hates to enter our class. I push myself to study hard for the final. As a result, I pass with flying colors and be the only student in class who pass all the subjects. The next year, Form 2... I was placed in 1st rank class and my mind was at ease. The learning culture was different where classmate is more assertive and academic-oriented.
i get straight As for my upsr and pt3. Thankfully i get 8A+ and 2A for my spm last year. I used to stress myself and study without sleep or just sleep for 2hours to study and memorize especially during exam weeks. i went to library everyday from 3pm to 8pm. i mean form 5 is definitely a stressful year i have tons of homework to complete, i have a short test every morning ,i need to be active in curriculum activities, i have tuition classes for addmaths, english and bahasa melayu . Sometimes i do my homework until 3am. i always push myself because i don't want my friends to laugh at me or have higher marks than me. i really have troubles learning certain subjects especially PHYSICS AND ADDMATHS but i still manage to get A+ for phy and an A for addmaths so Don't give up. i am not the genius type like some of my friends but i study really hard. i believe you can do it too!!! KEEP FIGHTING!!
The thing about SPM is, I don't think it's all about being smart. I'm not that smart, I hate studying. But when I cram, oh do I cram like crazy. School in Malaysia is about adaptability. If you can adapt to the system, you'll ace it. It's kinda sad but yeah
He's proudly showing his high school graduation day pic while 02 batch graduation day will never happen because of COVID19. Hshshsh I'm fine😌🤘😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I’m attending a science cluster school where everyone is like sooooo smart.. I got in the second top class but really didn’t feel like I am in it. Though my class is the so called second top classes there’s still a huge difference between us and the top class😞 I’m telling at the moment my class and other classes was failing addmath there is still someone from the top class who got an A+ ! Anyway, the essay questions in every non language subject is sooooooooo difficult .... History especially 😞
But there is some students who got 20A, student got complete A1.. with high scored. Even my school before.. there is alot who got scored so high but they got only One subject that cacatkan the whole scored.
hahaha...I am someone who enjoys playing at school and not a bookworm...and I study for the last minute before exam...during my elementary and secondary school, I love the outdoors activities more, instead of studying in the classroom!! I represented my school in so many contests like storytelling competition, interschool science quizzes, I didn't perform well in academic, l was a lazy person and playing a lot!! I'm not an excellent performer when it comes to academic, but I never fail my UPSR PMR SPM and STPM...now I'm pursuing my TESL degree at uni after struggling 3 times to get band 4 at MUET because the minimum criteria to pursue TESL is band 4, because if you get band 3 and below, you will never qualified to pursue TESL...and if you're not from STPM, you have to take foundation in TESL first before continuing bachelor degree for TESL...wish me luck until master and PhD degree...
For me high school examinations is not really that important because what u do after u finish high school is more important. But, it become important when u want to take some courses in university and it requires some academic requirements. Talk abt universities, in order u to get into local universities(lower cost), then u need to score well in ur exam. Study always require cost a lot. Even I'm scoring 7A in my SPM, I also feel study is such hectic.
Me before (spm) : istg this is last time im gonna hold calculator. No more calculator in uni please Also me now : Finance, statistics, accounting, micro, macro 👏
Thank god because i get into top class since 7 years old to secondary school. But now most of my classmate being a bit like don't really care also me. We play games alot and forgot to study. But we still in top and we don't know how it happened espcially most of us are not naturally smart but it was because of study. Maybe too much study...
I'm from boarding school,I guess you know how the students are.I was struggling so much for my whole 5 years there to catch up with all my peers.Everyone was so competitive, the teachers gave lots of assignments, homeworks, past year questions and all ,they expected us to finish within certain time .After PMR(now PT3), we have another exam to sort all the students whether they are qualify to enrol to high ranking boarding school. The lucky ones will go to that school, the not so lucky me stayed in the same school for form4 and form5. The interesting part is, there is no such thing as lower class or upper class in my school.every class is the same.I got all A's for PMR and 6A+ and 3B's for my spm where all the B are science subject.I know I'm suck.but all was my past,13 years later here I am trying living my life as adult.
I believe in all aspects the Malaysian education system is absolutely a failure. It is as if it’s a Frankenstein where ministers are trying to pick the best aspects of other education systems. This isn’t ok, you can tell the grading system is similar to the GCSE system, the average score system being closer to the American system and the class system are similar to a handful of other countries. Which is why Malaysia still ranks lower at education compared to other nations yet we have one of the most difficult examinations and systems in the world. It’s pressuring a lot of students to succeed but how are they going to succeed when the system is flawed? Reformation must take place
For me the school life was not tough at all but the actuall big exams stressing me out. Not because its hard, but due to the pressure since it will determined our future. But i do agree about the grade determined the class, when i was down 1 class for my form 2 i hate it because even tho i always got no 1, i did not improve at all because i need someone better than me to compete or to ask for when i have some problems, but the thing is i was always the one answering everyone's questions. That affect my pmr when i know i can do better. When u always on top the teacher dont really mind u because they thought others need them more. So i purposely chose science class for spm, why? They got alot of smarter students there, and i improved a lot in my form 4 n got on top again, then i was suppose to go for the top class for my form 5 but before the school start my classroom teacher said i cant because the 1st class got 1 diff subject from me and it will mess up the time table, they dont want to bother. When i think i can do even better for my spm, i'm stuck as an above average student plus the pressure during the actual SPM exam day. 1 messed up my 1st paper on the 1st day exam. Well, high school students thought SPM was the biggest exam of their life, u messed up, no better future. So, kiddos listen. BAD SPM RESULT WONT RUIN YOUR LIFE, IT WILL EVEN MOTIVATE U TO DO BETTER! I've seen so many successfull friends around me with not so good spm result. So dont be stress about it. Uni life was worst. But i'm also the living proof of having the unexpected carrier than what i studied from high school to my degrees. I should enjoy my study more not to stressing out about it. My life goes from science student (+accounting, love it) - law foundation(well, i also got the offer for matriculation in accounting) - corporate admin 1st degree n masters - but currently working as an AQS( all these engineering stuff.duh. ). Life is an unexpected journey, so dont live hard, live smart.
I think our edu format fits the idea of producing more doctors, lawyers and professionals similar to those. However, if we are talking about creative destruction, then the Scandinavian's suits the idea better. Perhaps, there are ways we can use to fuse these two into one for the benefits of all students in Malaysia. ❤ 🇲🇾 ❤
Watching your video really makes me reminisce my high school memories. Remember that my batch year was the the first batch being "lab rat" to learn math and science in English. Thank God it really helps me to strengthen my English proficiency indirectly. Not saying that I'm good in English now, but at least better than before. Yeah, the exam was tough, not sure how I've gone through during those year, I don't think i can get the same results if i repeat the exam again.
i take 11 subjects for my spm..and i was studying in a boarding school for my entire life and it was a school which is located in rural areas. and for my spm i take bm,bi,math, additional math, chemistry, physic,p.moral, sejarah,English for science and technology, biology and bahasa iban, and my results was 1A,6B,3C,1E..E for add maths hahahha
maybe my school are full of people so we have plenty of subjects for SPM.. Biology, Accounting, Lukisan Kejuteraan, ICT, Ekonomi, Seni, Perdagangan, Tasawwur Islam, EST, Vokasional (Air-con, Kenderaan) haha banyak kan for normal high school
Hey there! Thanks so much! I did do a video on my general college life talking the South Australian Matriculation program, in my other video on my channel if you're keen to check it out!
My ex-school if your result is good you force to go to science class in form 4-5. If you want to change to art or commerce class, you can't, you have to change school.
i left school for 3 years now and somehow, the fact that i managed to stay in the top 3 class out of 8? until my final school year still confuses me to this day because 1, i never passed addmaths, the lowest score i got was 2 lol and i did not come for the paper 1 spm exam. 2, i was never really that good in numbers, even tho physics were kinda fun. 3, i am always interested in history, language and arts instead so when my teacher denied my request to change stream from science accountancy to art, it never fails to make me go ???? every single time i think about it because my scores were not good to be in a science class but hey i kinda graduated, i guess, and now im waiting to finish my diploma in illustration next year!
It's hard, but fortunately not as serious as exams in Korea. I'm not sure about other countries, but from what I know, SPM is like, fun. Because we have interesting poems, novels. While in Korea, they are serious and their poem is not those quite fun poems we have, theirs are the deep ones.
When i was in form 3..we do go to museum..chose any museum and make a project.. but it 23 year ago... ha ha ba.. i think after 2 year later...... they didnt do that all kind of project
I am taking the same subjects as you did! Except for moral studies, which I took Islamic studies instead. Yes, it really does challenge your mental strength on another level. Wish me luck! I'm the candidate of year 2021 (supposedly 2020 but covid19 haha)
I remember my first add maths test when i was in form 5, i got 98% and modern maths 88%.. my maths teacher said this was abnormal.. 😆 In spm 1996.. managed to get A1 for maths and C5 for add maths

During the third week of SPM (I was a pure science student) I was sick and had really high fever. I remember going through the 1 hour bio paper 1 in like 15mins because I was so sick and just really wanted to sleep. It was the rainy season and my seat was right under the fan too 🤣 My grades suffered because I was sick but thinking back on it I honestly don't know how I managed to push through SPM with 38-39° fever
I remembered my father broke my fishing rod coz I like goes fishing instead study after school.. Always call me useless.. But now I am useful. Don't put pressure too much in your life.. Learn something that you like and you know the purpose.. That's me now...no one control you, just you and money
I have done that when I was form 2 my class and I went on a field trip to a another school for RBT which is just basically living skills.SO we went there to learn some sort of farming which was called hidroponik if I am not mistaken . After that visit we were told by our teacher that we have to choose some to do with the trip for final year project .
This was long ago. My school does something similar to exploring, I forgot what it call but student need to write thesis and present it. You can write about anything such as music, culture, programming, etc... Student will be evaluate and given rewards for the result.
one of course mates in college was in science stream back in high school but he failed almost all of his subjects while I'm in economics stream back in high school and I almost passed all my subjects.
I went to boarding school at Form 4. Theres no concept of no1,2,3...just pure cgpa so no class-ranking based. But..the school is the gathering of all smart people. Competitive yet very influencing.. and there i learnt it was not just about u yourself. It was about togetherness..not being ‘kedekut ilmu’ with others. It was really a good prep for uni life. I agree..dont takes thing too hard or too light
Having 5As in UPSR in 2004 and 8As in my PMR in 2007, I thought I would get straight As for my SPM. I wasn't. I regret not studying hard for Biology and EST (English for science and technology). Especially the former, of which I swear never to learn it for the rest of my life. EST is actually easy and because of that I don't get an A (you can guess why). Luckily I got A+ for BM, Math, Add Math and Physics 😂 So guys; study hard, study smart. Belajar sampai pandai. SPM is a ticket to adulthood I should say. Make it an epic end to your teenage years 😉
Actually Malaysia Education System has changed a little bit..like few years ago. Now, there are more HOTS (Higher-Order Thinking Skills) questions being added in the syllabus for every subjects, training us to think more than what being taught in the class, think out of the box, and the essay questions they gave out have become more interesting too..(i still rmb one of my moral essays was asking what moral values can we learn from taking selfie😂)
Nightmare.... i almost fail chemistry @ SPM. Luckily i pass all the subjects including add math & physic ,no A1...only A2 for BM & principal of accounting.
I took my SPM in 1996 and my STPM in 1998. What a four years of struggle. Thank GOD, fortunately, I made it. Even if I was given 1 more chance to sit these two exams, I totally, definitely will refuse it.
Iam the one... Got good results at spm... And I have 1 frnds, got bad results.. After 10 year we spread... N we meet after that,..he Success, have nice car(Honda civic), house, n own company... But me(hmmm)work for life...Spm is not everything ... Spm is only the beginning for the future ... Failure does not mean failure in the future ...
Funny thing is i didn't use much of those knowledge from high school for work.. except for the language i guess? That's the only subject i focus on really..
Nowadays, if 50-60 percent students in school can score A in subject such as bio, chemistry, physics and additional maths or modern maths. They really cool but sometimes so many students had been taken down by hots(higher order thinking skills) question that contain higher mark on test paper..... I already give up when I saw hots question, yeah I know to answer the question don't require complicated formula but the question makes you to think out of the box that sometimes will waste your time during the exam and for ordinary student like me... Sometimes I leave the question without answer because I can't find what the question want me to do...... In form 4 I already achieve my goals to stay in science stream class but something don't go well and in form 5 leave the class with the other two friends.... Three of us leave the class that makes almost all of the teacher and half of the students from morning session in the school shock even tho we didn't tell anybody about that except a few person in our class.... In the end we manage to leave the class and move to the second class, to make it short. We manage to face the final exam...even tho we leave science stream class during the last year but we manage to pass this exam. For me, if you want to success in your life, you need to ready to take risky decision or change your self, even tho you face tough decision but as long as you have your will.... You can surpass any obstacles on your way. So to someone out there, if you face hard time you need to prepare yourself to be tougher and brave if you want to achieve what you want...like my teacher always say (spm is not everything but spm is the beginning or your life)😌🏋️♂️
My brother quit school after failed stpm well spm is kinda simple to him xd My school math exam is 100x times confusing ngl you dont want to school here
That true about the class😂 but at my secondary school (form 1 until 3) the class are random accept for the first class and form 4 base on pt3 result and form 5 is also random accept for first class again...and your spm result is also good😂
It was really tough but it really helps you for ur future.. You gonna see again what you've learn from secondary in university.. For me lah.. As what I took in the university. Luckily I remember learning it 😆😆 some of it 😬
Thats bcuz our malaysian brain got high memory class.alquran kenal x?pernah tgk?tu pun ramai yg mampu memorize word by word,so apelah sgt dgn exam 10 subjek only.hehe

I am lower student from lower class. My friends always looking down at me because they think i was stupid student. Their act make me felt sick and broken. I study really hard to prove them wrong. I then became one of the school best student and get best spm result. Revenge is so sweat.
You mean revenge is so sweet?
I think you meant sweet, right?
Studying lower class doesn't mean that they cannot be successful in the future. There is no denying that the first class students always look down on the lower classes' students. I feel so ashamed being the first class' student. 😂 I like to be friends with lower classes' students because they r different with the first class students. In first class, there r a lot of fake friendship. 😣
I try to tackel a girl top 5 in my class....
Im also top 10 bottom in class but i study hard back then..... and got top 5...

Even i get 1 million usd. Definitely i'll not repeat the SPM.
Y would u want to repeat spm if u already have 1 million USD? U can lead u're life as middle/high class citizen for the rest of your life
@@lolmeme6059 i think she meant if she were to to get offered 1 million usd to sit for spm again, she wouldn't because how hard it is
I will. I will f-ing repeat my SPM if that's the reward. I'll take extra subjects even. But give that money first, at least 50k as a deposit (I wanna buy things too. Uniforms need RM to buy, ok) 😂
Ayyyy i would retake it tho, 1 mill usd is something that u cant have even if u got straight As afterall

no,nowadays 2004- born students are the most struggle students because we are the first batch to face all 21st century learning all new things SPM student 2019 compared to PT3 students 2019 PT3 students that year exam was harder than SPM...can u imagine SPM and PT3 students that year learned the same topic 80%-90% same urhh and the format were different and each time exam we were facing a new format it's okay but give bad effect to our result, first batch students result need really FOCUS & STUDY

@No name yet yes.. tbh the 1999 is the first batch to face all this stupidity. Plus the spm for 1999 batch is also 70% are HOTS questions. So basically 1999 is the start of the new era of HOTS.
as a 04 boy,i agree.
I can tell you it was a culture shock at that time but i'm so glad i was able to get through Uni in Australia
how many words is this ? i wanna give you 99% for this 😂
As degree student, I can confirm u this is true.
I struggled with my A-Levels because of this!!!
Easy for your...not for batch 04...so many KBAT(kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi) questions... sometimes make you want to learn all thing...even though it not from your levels...
That's why now then we have more HOTS/KBAT questions.
Do you know that things... we want to be friend with addmaths... But it just too arrogant to be friend with us 😭

One bad thing in my school is if you are ‘smarter’ or picked science stream in F4, you would get the nicer and bigger classes compared to economic, accounting and arts
our class was smaller 😂 I take science stream, hmm maybe because we have less student that take science stream 🤔 Our class had 21 or 22 students meanwhile others has almost 30 students or more
i was a pure science stream student but my class is much smaller and hotter compared to economic, accounting and art classes.

The Hack:
Remember, "making same mistake is a choice and stupidity."
Sound crazy, but this is my bet during my spm year, 2006.
I got A+ 🤣🤣🤣
But now there alot of change.... The structure more to kbat/hots .. especially sejarah..
You was not lazy... u did study really hard n make time to analyze it. You are the typical student who claim they *didnt study* but then ace in every subject 😂
That is the definition of study smart
@@happywann3456 its not that hard. I think i just a go analyzer.
Same...... (Never give up)
For SPM I take 11 subject so i feel stress but now Im happy cause I already pass that time
What you do after your uni is more important. THIS IS REALLY TRUE😭
Now they have KBAT questions for basically all subjects which is the explorative/opinion questions
I do get A for both in my spm.
shsjsjsjsj i got A+ for my math but FAILED my addmath.
Math A with Addmath B, isn't that just sweet? 😂 The balance.
U guys can do it
Add math was my nightmares, I know how to solve the questions when doing exercises, but when it comes to exam my brain is empty!!!wtf...maybe add math hate me
Is SPM similar to GCE O levels?
Mybe try to do SPM last years papers and ask teachers for help
Be positive
Most parents are thinking about the children's future. With a good result, we are given more choices to choose from. Thats why they pressured us to study more and try to get the best result in exams
Besides we can still follow what they want while doing what we want. I studied hard and was even sent to tuitions at night but at the same time I joined lots of co-curricular activities, which I love a lottt
I want to repeat my high school but don't want to study.. I just want to hangout with my friends 😆.. Miss them a lot 😢
idk if i should cry or being happy with the fact that my batch is taking KSSM slearning standard and not KBSM.

I totally understand. I took 3 languages
I can relate to your experience. But, nowadays Msia education curriculum has changed. Hopefully, for a better and best outcomes.

I can see that Malaysia education system is improving bcz they have added a lot of KBAT and HOTS questions which encourage us to think out of the box✨
i actually enjoy my SPM although i only score 7A out of 10 subjects. STPM is another level, really suffering of it.
I didn't manage my time well. Cramming helped me pass xp.
Well said!
Teachers would go "Why are you sleeping ?? Confident A????" 6:02 is a BIG MOOD
true. i was hoping when our government change, our education system is also changing. i was expecting we could choose what we want to learn after taking pt3 examination. in my school, my counselor told us that we are not "mature enough" to pick what we want to learn. honestly, i was very much offended by that. when we were form 1, they could say that. but after surviving three years in a rough time, constantly battling to prepare for pt3, it's just bollocks. there are a lot of people who loves biology AND art but couldn't take art because of the package they gave us. :')
If you mean art as in Pendidikan Seni Visual, a friend of mine took that for his extra electives and he is a science student. Try to ask your teacher abt it. Idk abt you guys but back in 2015 when I was seating for SPM that year, we do take extra subject such as PSV, tassawur islam and accounting.
i'm here watch ur youtube and feel sad because I realized I'm a corona batch ,so I have to take spm when 18 years old
I thinks I forget addmath formula economy formula ,account formula but no all formula just half .
Same bro ✊🏻
Same bro but for me i forgot science formula thingy
btw I think the record for most A in SPM was 21 A1/2.. it was years back before we started using A+ grading instead of A1
The sorted out class system base on academic achievement quite a nightmare.
KEEP FIGHTING!!
help
The thing about SPM is, I don't think it's all about being smart. I'm not that smart, I hate studying. But when I cram, oh do I cram like crazy. School in Malaysia is about adaptability. If you can adapt to the system, you'll ace it. It's kinda sad but yeah
He's proudly showing his high school graduation day pic while 02 batch graduation day will never happen because of COVID19. Hshshsh I'm fine😌🤘😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
pfft,03 batch is tougher :)
Not only batch 02 i guess😌 im done with my uni days but havent heard any news if we can have our convo or not😂😂
sis goodluck for tomorrow...upu result is going to be announced tomorrow😅😅
@@bikihbikutehh9544 ya allah..bila fikir2 balik ada orng lagi susah daripada aku 😅😅
Why you didn't have graduation day ? I had attended my graduation ceremony last year before I sat for my SPM 2019...
No more calculator in uni please
Also me now : Finance, statistics,accounting,micro,macro 👏
Whew I went out of that and got into law school. Almost took business though
Well said bro! `what you do in real world' That's is deep. PS school life was golden moments.
Say it louder for the minister of education!!!!
Bruh they trying hard but nothing works. I don't think they know what they are doing lol.
Waaahh aku baru realise hebak gak aku boleh hadap semua ni heheheh 😍😍
Tq for sharing...thats was a good content especially ur oponion on our high school system...keep p dup
Same batch spm 2007 rite... Ppsmi spm lab rat
@@markchannel6979 yup.. spm 2007, for students born on 1990
can u tell me how to improve in english my spm in english got E ..hmmm
i take 11 subjects for my spm..and i was studying in a boarding school for my entire life and it was a school which is located in rural areas. and for my spm i take bm,bi,math, additional math, chemistry, physic,p.moral, sejarah,English for science and technology, biology and bahasa iban, and my results was 1A,6B,3C,1E..E for add maths hahahha
maybe my school are full of people so we have plenty of subjects for SPM.. Biology, Accounting, Lukisan Kejuteraan, ICT, Ekonomi, Seni, Perdagangan, Tasawwur Islam, EST, Vokasional (Air-con, Kenderaan) haha banyak kan for normal high school
Nice and informative video :) Could you also do a video on getting into college after highschool? And various options available in Malaysia? Thanks
I took a Korean SAT english test once, yikes I thought how do they even manage to understand the questions let alone answer them correctly.
In spm 1996.. managed to get A1 for maths and C5 for add maths
The end result...
@@norsazrinnorazman3303 yerla.. masa test tu satu chapter je.. masa spm semua soalan dari form 4 pun ada.. susah nk score add maths 😅

During the third week of SPM (I was a pure science student) I was sick and had really high fever. I remember going through the 1 hour bio paper 1 in like 15mins because I was so sick and just really wanted to sleep. It was the rainy season and my seat was right under the fan too 🤣
My grades suffered because I was sick but thinking back on it I honestly don't know how I managed to push through SPM with 38-39° fever

Luckily I got A+ for BM, Math, Add Math and Physics 😂
So guys; study hard, study smart.
Omg thats kinda the same question as my first term exam few months ago😂
Oh wow i had this question in my f4 moral essay this year
Nightmare.... i almost fail chemistry @ SPM. Luckily i pass all the subjects including add math & physic ,no A1...only A2 for BM & principal of accounting.
Now ada A+, A, A-. Very stressfull. Kesian student. During my time A1, A2, B3, B4 and so on.
So to someone out there, if you face hard time you need to prepare yourself to be tougher and brave if you want to achieve what you want...like my teacher always say (spm is not everything but spm is the beginning or your life)😌🏋️♂️
My brother quit school after failed stpm well spm is kinda simple to him xd
My school math exam is 100x times confusing ngl you dont want to school here
Wow ! You're so smart 😝
Okay, this is really weird. Im suddenly motivated to deal with spm this year after hearing your results now.
Wow ur pt3 result are better than me malaysian🤣🤣
im pretty sure theres only until secondary school or collage
oh i am in the first class and i hate it cuz 10+ homework a day
That true about the class😂 but at my secondary school (form 1 until 3) the class are random accept for the first class and form 4 base on pt3 result and form 5 is also random accept for first class again...and your spm result is also good😂
It was really tough but it really helps you for ur future..
Tbh, im not that hardworking to study when spm last year, im more relax but my result is ok i thing
“High school life in Malaysia is really tough.. really really tough”.. not until you take Korean College Entrance Exam (SPM version for Korean).
Spm is not equivalent to college entrance exam instead STPM yes... but if you compare stpm then it is another level haha
