This past weekend saw the return of Smash Ultimate’s greatest rivalry. Tweek and MKLeo faced off in a Winners Semi-Finals. MKLeo sent Sparg0 to the losers brackets but Sparg0 got his revenge in the Losers Quarterfinals. The rivalry of Sonix and Sparg0 continued in Losers Finals as Sonix reverse 3-0 Sparg0 to advance to Grand Finals. But Tweek defended the tristate by 3-0ing Sonix in Grand Finals to once again win Let’s Make Big Moves. Other standout performances included: Maister, WebbJP, Light, Tilde, and of course, Skyjay. Was this the best Smash Tournament of the year?

Leo and Tweek were definitely both playing great. Just a few less mistakes and Leo definitely takes the next one

I don't care what anyone says, I will never hop off the leo train. He got into spargo's head ( the kid was literally physically sweating lmao) and destroyed in that winners set against his cloud. Even in that losers semis leo could have taken that set.
I feel like tweek gave him more of a challenge yet he played beautifully despite losing. Great tournament to start the year. Leo is practicing consistently now.

The top 4 of this event was crazy. Honestly any of them could have taken it as they were all playing hot. These are the events we spectators love.
Fun fact the top 4 of this year was the top 4 of last year's lmbm, only difference was Sparg0 and Sonix traded placements this year
this has to be the most polished LG smash video so far. amazing work to everyone involved, i can’t wait to see the future of LG smash content :)

Agreed. I was considering not viewing it, since I watched the whole event, and also listen to tso podcasts about it... but I started it and got hooked! Great editing!
And sooo much better with commentators leading the story, and not a post-event narration read half-heartedly.
That final shot of those 4 together is such a nice and wholesome way to end it
Skyjay and MKLeo definitely is the highlight of this tournament.
Also props to the production, as an online spectator, it was still amazing.

Mkleo and tweek
Light and marss
There’s a reason only one of these is called El Clásico.
Marss and Light have history, but is not actively being added to due to Marss’ lowered presence in tournaments. Sparg0 and Sonic’s rivalry is actively being written, but lacks history. Mkleo and Tweek… that rivalry has it all

Leo Tweek though it’s been so heavily Tweek favored for several years so I’m waiting for either a more interesting rivalry or Leo to turn up. Light Tweek is honestly more relevant than Light Marss now, they go back and forth virtually every single set, though I don’t remember seeing Light and Marss play much outside of friendlies pre-Covid (and they’re my region). Sonix Spargo just gets me heated, I just want to see a quick Sonix 3-0 every set.
So imo none of the above, Light Tweek.
