    By the way, I can confirm that West Coast Motors HQ did see my video when it came out and amazingly gifted me a couple of Glasgow day tickets! Thank you very much, West Coast Motors! 😍

    Glad someone is noticing this! The 15 is essential and shows what Glasgow buses really can be capable of

    Thoroughly enjoyed your wee video and it is a route I must try. So too would the X10/A to Aberfoyle - a nice wee day out! Back in the day as students in Bearsden, we would either hitch or catch the bus to Drymen by way of the Carbeth Inn and on through Croftamie. A few drinks in The Salmon Leap (long gone) in Drymen before heading back down the A809. The bus would pass the then start of The Devil's Pulpit Walk - long before it became 'famous'!!
    Would love to see more of these interesting wee local routes from Glasgow.

    Brings back the memories when I lived at Wolfson Hall which is inside Science Park, Maryhill.
    Commute to the main campus would be determined by looking at the First bus / WCM / Midland Bluebird app and see if 60(A) / X10(A) / 17 running up Maryhill Rd would arrive first, or if 15 running up Bearsden Rd would arrive first, whilst also taking the amount of time needed to walk to the opposite side of Science Park into account.
    And if I end up on the Maryhill Rd buses, I'll have to determine if I can make a swift connection onto 8 / 90 further up the road, or do I stay on the X10(A) / 17 to get off at the Great Western Rd corner and walk the rest of the way to Uni.
    Yeah, was a lot of thought that went into minimizing travel time. My friend and I even did races lol.

    I study at Glasgow uni, and I also live by bearsden I love the 15 and the 17 I would’ve moved out of it weren’t for the 15 and 17. PLUS they give you change they are always clean, less crowded than the 60, 60A and overall better by far.

    I don't know if I would call it the best bus route in Glasgow because it doesn't have a service on Sundays, and that might be a pain for people (especially old people) who want to get transited with Milngavie/Bearsden and Westend. The 15 makes a great connection with these areas, but it's a shame that it doesn't have a service on Sundays.

    Nice video :) ngl it's great to see the 15 come back from being cancelled when I first came to uni to now being upgraded to every 30 min M-F. The U22 bus pass has definitely helped it as well tbh, as previously when you lived on Wolfson Campus, the Uni would fund a First Bus annual pass for you, which meant you would just take FG 8/60 instead of the 15, hence why it was in a way, probably being used so little as well compared to now. Although great video :) (Although imo while 15 is nice, FG's 1A is better xD)

      Yeah, I remember those times. Most folk would just Uber and some had cars, which would just be parked in the local area. Also, what about the 1B???😏

    • @WheeTransport
      @WheeTransport 8 месяцев назад

      @@SomeoneExplores Ehh the 1B has this "I've made it, whatever" attitude when it gets to Helensburgh. Like don't get me wrong, it's a great route esp going out past Cardross, but when it gets to Helensburgh, it only serves the main street and is like "I can't be bothered doing any other part of Helensburgh", while the 1A actually properly serves most of the Vale of Leven area like Renton, Bonhill and Jamestown. Just in my opinion tho lol xD

    Is there a bus that goes from the south-side of glasgow to the west-end that doesn't go via the city centre? if not - there should be - would be a boon for students travelling from the south-side burbs to glasgow uni.

    • @SomeoneExplores
      @SomeoneExplores 8 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think so as of now. The 4/4a and the 6 both go through the the town. A route bypassing the city centte would be revolutionary

    The number 15 is not the best Glasgow. The timetable is not the best, but the bus can get very busy throughout the day, it has got to get better
