It seems to me that, between the rain, the destruction caused by the two insane ppl, the chickens gone, and the possibility of those two coming back to cause more heartaches, the family has assessed the situation to be too critical to fix/rebuild...and so they have dicided to start over anew someplace else...FAR, FAR, FAR away from the toxic area were those 2 old and mentally sick people live.
If i were in their situation, i would have made the same decision, but first i would have reported them to the authority.
