btw the cotton diet can actually ruin your teeth! Same as anorexia (pretty sure cotton ball diet is anorexia) or bulimia, not getting calcium and other vitamins/minerals to an extreme amount can cause your teeth to rot or fall out. Same with nails and hair, and many many other effects most dont realise come with an ed. If you struggle with ANY eating disorder remember help is available :)
the “your favourite candy is cotton, that’s why all your teeth are rotten” line i think is like a double meaning as in like cotton candy but also the cotton ball diet because the line before talks about stuffing weights in your pocket when you go to the doctors like when they weigh you

Idk if you already know but mel got bullied pretty bad for her teeth, she actually has an unreleased song called 'porcupines' where she touches on the topic, its a pretty good song but not one of my favourites. I never got bullied for my gap but knowing Mel loves her teeth now makes me feel so much better i love her so much 💕
