I like racing in the rain. It puts an emphasis on driver skill and track knowledge while reducing stress on the car, allowing it to run cooler and longer between pit stops. I'd like to see road courses put in sprinkler systems to make running in the wet a normal thing. (Not at every track, but it would make short, flat tracks interesting.)
Sorry, not sorry...sprinklers on the road courses?? Probably the most ridiculous suggestion that I've read in a while... How about snow makers too? Maybe a fog machine? Or a 007 spy/safety car that drops oil slicks, randomly during caution flags?
@@codymoe4986I think there a few road courses with sprinkles it’s just far off the track so if the sprinkler goes off by somehow it won’t get on the track

People bang on about f1 drivers being "rainmeisters" I'd love to see them try and keep one of these bad boys on the track in the wet, absolute death traps 😂
F1 Are way more twitchy, thats why F1 rejects end up at Indy ie:Grosjean. BTW I absolutely love Indy, its way more exciting to watch but F1 looks space-age next to it but has been mega boring for last 10 years+ unfortunately!!
REALLY didn't like seeing that recovery truck pop out while cars are still circulating. No need for those margins to be cut so fine, especially in practice. EDIT: 5min penalty for Rossi?! He passed a yellow flag, not a red, and on a streaming wet track. Race control sent the truck, they should have been comfortable with track traffic. Wow, interesting.
@TimRobson totally agree and it recalls horribly accident of jules bianchi at the gp of Japan 2014 with very similar circumstances it could have ended very badly
Wet weather in f1 and Indy this weekend. Hope it sticks around to make qualy fun. I'm good on the race though. I'd rather see actual racing rather than a bunch of drivers scared to leave the dry line to make a pass.
@@Redlingstein most of the time the fun of a wet race is overblown and it ends up sucking. It's really fun if it happens a certain way but it rarely does. I'm thinking about a race like germany 2019. It kept drying out and getting wet again so they made like 5 pit stops which made things really interesting. Most of the time it's not like that though. It normally just ends up being a parade because a dry racing line starts to form and no one ever leaves it because the second they do, they don't make the corner.
Oops. Looks like someone in the booth screwed up the recording and set it to the lowest res possible. 360p?! Really??? It's the 21st century. Why is that still even a setting?
Great drivers running in the rain is not easy to do indycar is always great racing ⚡🏁
The Indy calendar is amazing 😜
In just three consecutive weeks we have Indy500, then Detroit and Road america.
Great variety, tough challenge
you know it’s good when practice highlights are 24 minutes long!

Herta looks fast again. Can he please not throw it away in the race again?
No.
Impossible
Sorry mate:(

Ya sorry this is what he does
É, indycar, deixa os caras correrem nesta chuva, com os pilotos aquaplanando!

Nice try Burnie Ecclestone burner account 😂
I like the look of these Indy cars
Lets go Scotty Mac
Both Indy and F1 in similar conditions.
But atleast they still run in heavy rain unlike f1 where they end up red flaming the session
Enjoyed a d appreciate watching Indy practice . Keep it up
Well one thing that works are the 180 spins to get back on track from the run off areas...
When will Indycar promote TBell to be primary commentator? His view as a driver and spokesperson is waa😅ay better than anyone else. LD..go way

But don't give yourself away
Good. Thanks.
I'm impressed with how gingerly Scotty Mac applied throttle in the early part of the vid. Especially around the carousel corner.
But he kept running wide on the exit curbs in turn 14. Killed his lap times.
@@andyharman3022 yeah man. He tries to gain as much time as possible. Just didn't pay off this time.

They'd be fine.
They literally have former F1 drivers in Indycar.

Pensé que era una categoria seria, no podes bajar un talentoso piloto. Porchiare es el que tendria que ser sancionado por todos los toques realizados
