It’s so easy though. Don’t use a regular piece of paper tho, its only easy if you use a paper that is an exact square

Also, if anyone is wondering about the paper size, I used notebook paper, and I just cut a 6x6 square out. If too small, maybe do 8x8 instead. The ones I made aren't as big as his. They are just a bit smaller. I hope this helps! Have a great day! 😆👋💖

@@thomasroberts8648 Yea it is sorry you can't follow really simple instructions I've got over a dozen butterflies decorating my room and have gifted some to my friends :) I used a bit a glue to hold the final fold in place so they can spin on a mobile I love it.

I think it really just depends on how familiar you are with the subject. Most people are going to skip the articles and videos discussing common folds in origami and jump straight to this one, which results in a misunderstanding.
I found it pretty simple myself....but I acknowledge the fact that, to me, it’s just a refresher, so I’m going to experience significantly less confusion than a true beginner would.

This is truly, by far, the best origami butterfly tutorial I have ever seen! It went just the right speed and the directions were very clear. I now have created 27 of them. I do believe I may have to go into rehab in order to stop :)

I just created my very first origami butterfly on my first try thank you so much for the video! However, mine is a bit lumpy and uneven but it still resembles as a butterfly, but I will do better on it as I practice again and again! I might make a swarm of butterflies in the future that I will decorate around my room!

I don’t get the confusion in the comments. I’m usually really bad at origami and always crinkle or rip my paper to pieces trying to fold it but I was able to do this just fine. My butterfly turned out so cute! It’s yellow and I feel like making more of them. It lives on top of my lamp now.
