But also, as I explain in the video, they aren't perfect and can only really serve as a demo of how a vocal should be sung, not the final product. 😊

So give him a break. He’s only showing what’s out there, like it or not.

anyone can sing; it's the delivery that counts. Compare Badfinger WIthout You with Harry Nlsson - a huge difference. Or Simon and Garfunkle Sound of Silence. They could sing of course but compare with Disturbed vsersion. And I recall Phil Spector was a master of music but hated to perform himself after To Know Him Is To Love Him. Personally I think the synthesized voice lacks the expression that a real singer has. sorry. And you need that error in a real voice.
Is there a copy write on a singers voice ? For example using A.I you could have George Michael vocals singing on your song, so without permission you could not use George Michael but using effects you could probably make it sound different enough not to be an outright copy, maybe you could combine the vocals of 2 or 3 famous singers
Singers are doomed. Of course, you can replace “singers” with any other creative pursuit and it’s equally true. People are asleep to the destruction of career paths in so many industries that this technological revolution, and the unprecedented rate at which it’s happening, is going to cause over the next decade.
I mean we're over here talking about composition and songwriting, trying to make actually cool things... If you wanna automate the whole deal and don't care how stiff and bad the end product sounds that's cool for you just don't go around calling yourself a musician
@Senchi3 I've been composing longer than David has been alive,, so you're preaching to the Choir here. But I do find it funny that people complain about what is essentially an improvement on Vocaloid which has been around 20 years.
Dont. Im going to turn you off. I hate fake processed vocals. I had to learn to talk and sing all over again because of an injury. Put the work in or dont open your mouth.
You people are too precious about what singing is.. if someone cant sing particularly well then why should it matter to you? If you dont like it then you dont have to listen to that music but looking the other way for technology that can aid creativity for the sake of ‘thats not the traditional way’ is pathetic.
Ikr, it's so unfair, he shouldn't use those lazy shortcuts to get ahead of us honest, hardworking people. I bet he doesn't care that I'm broke. We should cancel
How can you support these "plug-ins"? If you can't sing go learn from a singing Teacher. Don't add to the ongoing syntheticfication and devaluation of pop music and music in general.
Virtual Singers have been around for 20+ years and paved the way for genius composers with low budgets or self-esteem/mental health issues to put their music out, specially in the underground Japanese pop scene. It's nothing new really.
As long as you use these plugins only for demos and not in the final song, ok with me. So I do not need to hear these powerless, expressionless voices again. They make me physically uncomfortable.
I have enough talent to write songs, but I don't sing, or the vocals are in a different register. Am I supposed to become a female for a few songs? How do you write your music? Do you play every part yourself, or you secretly have midi instruments playing?
You still have to, you know, write the entire song yourself, including the melody and lyrics. And if you can do that, you clearly don't have a "minimal amount of talent".
synth V is not ai dude. each sound bank was made by a human being in fact , 2 of them are even here on youtube as singers. it simply using algorithms to process the vocal banks into a final result.. so a human being had to sit in a studio for months to make each sound bank.. similar to how a kontakt library is made.. Emma Rowley is the voice of Solaria. .she's here on youtube. a real girl singer dude. it's not actually ai. , it uses algorithms to process. very smart programmer
@@Maplefoxx-vl2ew it is using AI technology, but it was with consent, and unlike with traditional vocal synthesis like Vocaloid, they don't have to sit in a studio to record every sound necessary for the voicebank. Song samples are used instead. I don't know why people act like AI is automatically bad.
You have made me that much closer to unsubscribing. These programs mock the art of music. Humans are what makes art "art" by giving it meaning, but having a computer make it for you strips all meaning away and leaves you with the equivalent of a canvas painted entirely black. Not unpainted, but so boring and pointless that it will never live up to any other work
???? Is a human work with a plugin in the voice, the same as a pedal on a guitar or autotune/pitch correction on a vocal, its not hurtful ai, is a gimmick, a tool Just like photoshop or video editing
this is a pretty bad metaphor for what youre trying to get across because the world of painting & art has done what you describe countless times & each time the consensus is that not only is what you describe "art" but the meaning of a piece like this is inherent to the artist & anybody can find a meaning of their own through it. you may find a black canvas boring , but to the artist its something else. that, is art. not some meaningless competition to see who is the best at painting. im not even a fan of these vocal synths myself but you seriously need to let go of these notions of what you consider to be "real" art & understand that that concept changes daily as human beings do.

Only hate that you really need time to make good vocal for song.. And if u use time to make good vocal and sed to friends who only listener , dont have knowledge for EQ, chords produ staff they think I finde vocalist 😅😅😅
I'm just here for the knee jerk reactions.
anyone can sing; it's the delivery that counts.
It's not out of your range. Your voice is just untrained. Although I am much much worse playing the piano than you singing 😂😂😂
I can't wait til people here hear about Udio and Suno 🤣
Someone had to say it!
@okaymate-but he's getting ahead of us UNFAIRLY
@okaymate-Art is a competition, you didn't get the memo. How come everyone screws me over.
Lol do you say this about every other virtual instrument? Hope you don't use piano vsts, or orchestral vsts.
A little disappointing, but not shocking. Everyone on RUclips is trying to make it so humans aren’t important in music anymore.
As long as you use these plugins only for demos and not in the final song, ok with me. So I do not need to hear these powerless, expressionless voices again. They make me physically uncomfortable.
And so now someone who has a minimal amount of talent can manufacture music 😢
I have enough talent to write songs, but I don't sing, or the vocals are in a different register. Am I supposed to become a female for a few songs? How do you write your music? Do you play every part yourself, or you secretly have midi instruments playing?
You still have to, you know, write the entire song yourself, including the melody and lyrics. And if you can do that, you clearly don't have a "minimal amount of talent".
If you can't sing, leave it to those who can. Faking it makes you a liar to others and to yourself.
Sounds phony
Autotune or ai
Shame on you!
Learn to control your diaphragm and breathing.
Put the work in.
If you make comments like this, I hope you never use a single instrument vst ever.
eH? what!!! NO NO NO!! ........AI shit..;.autotune..SHAME ON YOU.
UNSUBSCRIBED.
synth V is not ai dude. each sound bank was made by a human being in fact , 2 of them are even here on youtube as singers. it simply using algorithms to process the vocal banks into a final result.. so a human being had to sit in a studio for months to make each sound bank.. similar to how a kontakt library is made..
Not unpainted, but so boring and pointless that it will never live up to any other work
???? Is a human work with a plugin in the voice, the same as a pedal on a guitar or autotune/pitch correction on a vocal, its not hurtful ai, is a gimmick, a tool
Just like photoshop or video editing
… tell that to all the vocaloid producers have been making tons of cool music for the past decade
this is a pretty bad metaphor for what youre trying to get across because the world of painting & art has done what you describe countless times & each time the consensus is that not only is what you describe "art" but the meaning of a piece like this is inherent to the artist & anybody can find a meaning of their own through it. you may find a black canvas boring , but to the artist its something else. that, is art. not some meaningless competition to see who is the best at painting. im not even a fan of these vocal synths myself but you seriously need to let go of these notions of what you consider to be "real" art & understand that that concept changes daily as human beings do.
@@sale544 I would, but I don't have their number. I'd also petition you to express your opinion to artists who don't use this crap.
@SARUBI_OK sure, it's (or "is") good for a laugh, but it isn't serious art if the artist isn't willing to do it manually
the best david is to take singing' lessons ...in the end you don't sing so badly
oh shit this is kind of weird...........
