best and coolest line in tokyo ghoul is "All losses in this world are due to a lack of ability. If you want to curse something, curse your own weakness."
Sounds cool and all but how can someone obtain the skill to stop an airplane crash once it's flying (supposing the answer would be just "don't get in the airplane" how could one determine that result?
@@redrage369 It's an anime, for starters, and your only real option is to try an emergency landing; pick a wide area, ideally without any obstacles, where the plane will be hit the least.
@@redrage369In this analogy, it would be the pilot/engineer/etcs “lack of ability” that brought it upon everyone. At least as far as I can see, not every single problem you have is specifically caused by YOUR weakness, but someone’s.
The color of the hair and eyes is representive of traditional alchemical stages of personality transformation. Black hair - unconscious of self White hair - conscious of unconsciousness of self Red eye - totality of self (which is half there, and also hidden behind a mask/persona of some nice kid) Haise/back and white hair is representing conflict of integration, and when he goes back to his senses/is legit Kaneki again, he does away with the black hair altogether (ik, not a choice he makes, and more so an effect of one) and the mask, symbolic of his true self, without any regulation for how others might view him. Dragon King Kaneki is the subsequent enlightenment after one faces their deepest and darkest aspects of yourself/past (only can when you can accept that they're there in the first place) and move past them to not squander time and create more problems (it pretty literal in TG, considering he walks/swims past the bodies of people), and live a righteous path to at least neutralize, if not overshadow, your negative karmic debts, up to said point. So, "past and present self" is a bad way to say what is truly being highlighted, which is: "individuation"
I relate a lot to kaneki I was so touched when I found that there was an anime depicting how bad mental health feels. It’s kinda like yk how ya find that one song and ya relate to it and puts you at ease. I get put to ease hearing I’m not the only one missin mum even tho she hurt me following so blindly and so stubborn to step up for myself and always in a thought of trying to live two lives of my older self and one more deranged from a typical path
I relate to you man. I used to be beaten up a lot when I was younger. Then got bullied. Now if nothing bad is happening I wonder why is it ok? I wonder what or when is the next beating. I don't get up and instead keep myself beat and low to the ground because I am too afraid what will happen when I get up. I am surrounded by family but still want to be alone. Because being alone is better, it keeps me calm and ok.
That's probably why he's my favorite character of all time...I feel so depressed right now and I feel like since I can relate to him that much it creates much more connection with the character
@@nosadeussuramus9113 ''I am surrounded by my family but still want to be alone'' this hits super hard and I can relate to you so much...I always telle myself hold and resist, it's gonna be okay and all that stuff but at night I can't stop overthinking and it's so bad and I just wanna be alone everytime so that nothing would hurt me. Surrounded but still alone...let's hope it get better by the time
I didn't watch Toyko ghoul but as a person with Dissociative Identity Disorder, I feel like I have this conversation constantly. The philosophy that matches mine, a life that matches mine. When my little told me how he suffered, that was probably the hardest thing. I was like Keneki before I realized ... all of this.
Tokyo ghoul, in and of itself contains so much knowledge and value. It can act as an eye opener for so many, as a limit breaker for so many, as a new perception of their tribulations for so many. Tokyo ghoul, truly is a valuable spectacle to behold. A gift, and holds a message, that not many would be able to comprehend if not contemplated upon. This is much more than simply an anime, or a cartoon, or drawings. The message, value, teachings, knowledge, all erudite concepts that it bears no bounds if perceived correctly. This anime, is something that'll last a lifetime of perceptions and will apply to any form of hardship out in the world. It is a universal teaching, and will incessantly remain to be one. The more you improve your perception of this story, the more of an ineffable, drastic and profound effect it will have on you. Tokyo ghoul, is truly a beautiful spectacle to behold.
Ngl Kanekis conversation with Rize while being tortured by Jason always makes me cry, to me my mom was the best person in the world and when she had died my world felt like it crumbled. I wish she had survived,i wish her cancer went into remission and disappeared,i miss her so much it hurts it hurts so much that at this point my brain has done what kanekis did were i covered up my memories of her, they were covered up by grief and not wanting to accept that she was taken to the point i had issues opening up to others unless i felt like i could trust them. Sorry for the rant but Tokyo ghoul made me realise so much with its philosophy
This video was posted 8 days after my mom had passed away, and i relate to the first two quotes the most. Its hard to describe, to find the right words to even express it
the theme that you have to fight on day you cant avoid it all along resonates in this anime and aot so beautifully that the line between hero and villain starts to dissapeaar and hence they are my favourite.
I listen to this every morning and every night for clarity about how this world really is, I never want to forget and blame anything other than the people in it for why it is this way.
Anybody that has dealt with CA or witnessing abuse as children can definitely relate, I'm currently on an every day watching two episodes with my older sister to give an idea of what I went through when they left me all alone between our parents that.... well were just abusing eachother everyday.... and while my brother doesn't want to feel empathy so I won't really bother but I feel like there can be some sort of redemption for my sister....me being the smallest one and them not dealing with the worst like I did. Yet them feeling useless hate towards our parents and me trying to redeem them... its just.... its just a messed up world.....
If I had to describe Tokyo Ghoul with a single color, I wouldn’t say red, no, I would personally describe the series as Gray, it speaks in monotone volumes yet acts in vibrant themes, it’s truly beautiful, almost like an unspoken travesty
i watched tokyo ghoul like 6 years ago when i was 15 i finished it but i could not grasp what was going on but now i understand how deep it is after i progress through life and now i realised giw deep tokyo ghoul is.I literally cant seem to enjoy anime like naruto, bleach and one piece and i rather find those cringe, after like 5 years tokyo ghou l really hits hard
Ngl the first quote i related to when my grama/mom had passed away in 2021 an i had usually listened to song tht had the couple of same words/sentences from rize and sometimes i related alot with kaneki during throughout my majority of my highschool years but anywho great video❤
His mother was neutral with her sister and her son. She thought she could do both but it ended up being the end of all of them. Just how with the couple. Jason made him choose and when he chose be neutral they all got hurt
Watched the sub but only seen a few episodes of the anime in dub. I didn't real care much for the English dub but man some of these scenes are pretty good in the dub. Especially that Rize and Kaneki scene.

Tokyo Ghoul had the perfect ideal of what would happen when one wants to live with their previous and present self
wrong, if its bad previous past then its not gonna be perfect ideal
what a noob
@introverted Crow he misunderstood personality changes with present and past self...

So do you also have someone like Tyler durden?
The first quote always hits like a train, no matter how much I try to act like it isn’t true, it’ll always be there, and that’s what hurts the most.
It’s the hardest try not cry for me personally
When you said it hits like train I relate to it but instead of train put plane !
The first whole clip hits so hard, it kills me every time
Seriously the story is a masterpiece ngl i dont care how bad the anime adaption is but the whole story is just a masterpiece ngl.

No,I watched just this and he definitely has dissociative identity disorder,i have it so i can spot it easily.
