دگرگوں ہے جہاں ، تاروں کی گردش تیز ہے ساقی
دل ہر ذرہ میں غوغائے رستا خیز ہے ساقی
متاع دین و دانش لٹ گئی اللہ والوں کی
یہ کس کافر ادا کا غمزۂ خوں ریز ہے ساقی
حرم کے دل میں سوز آرزو پیدا نہیں ہوتا
کہ پیدائی تری اب تک حجاب آمیز ہے ساقی
نہ اٹھا پھر کوئی رومی عجم کے لالہ زاروں سے
وہی آب و گل ایراں ، وہی تبریز ہے ساقی
نہیں ہے ناامید اقبال اپنی کشت ویراں سے
ذرا نم ہو تو یہ مٹی بہت زرخیز ہے ساقی

Ke Paidai Teri Ab Tak Hijab Amaiz Hai Saqi
Na Utha Phir Koi Rumi Ajam Ke Lala-Zaaron Se
Wohi Aab-o-Gill-e-Iran, Wohi Tabraiz Hai Saqi
Nahin Hai Na-Umeed Iqbal Apni Kisht-e-Weeran Se

Great Ghazal. The words of this Ghazal still echo in my brain. GOD bless my father ----- he got me so interested in the poetry of IQBAL. I remember this ghazal so well ---- so spiritually powerful is this Ghazal. HALLE-LU-JAH.
