I've experienced the following:

Lots of people don't know how to set up private servers, I guess? Or maybe the game just doesn't allow for it. When that happens it's usually because the host is trying to play with friends
There is a private game/friends only option when creating a lobby but people are just stupid

How it usually goes for me:
Host neglects that he can set tactic.
Host recommends stealth, but puts it up for majority vote.
3 of us choose loud.
Host kicks us saying "I'm the host, so i'm your leader and i decide"...kicks very slowly like he cant find the fucking kick button.
sometimes its hard to find a good host and partners, but when you find them, oh boy, you get a good time right there

I litterally today played with some rando' who tried to stealth rats day 1. But hey, even he was still better than average b33corft fan, who pretends to understand stealth for some heist bc he watched 30s youtube vid, shames everybody for using weapons labeled as mid tier(which ofc are unplayable on death sentence[*duhhh*]) and quits to lobby and switches to very hard once he got downed first time. Trully payday 2 expierience at its finest...

I've been and seen newly infamous people starting back at lvl 0 do better than most lvl 50-90 first timers. Got to love that grinder perk.
Probably because even with Infamy you're likely to go down on the harder difficulties without any armor, and most new players don't want to deal with Paydays awful stealth mechanics.
Overkill stealth is pretty much the only time you should use the suit.

I remember being infamy 7 level 87 and i join a game of first world bank, the host is a level 68 techforcer and continuously complains that i'm wearing a suit meanwhile he has used all the charges for our edi bags

I once trolled a hacker once in payday 2. It was big oil, 2nd say he found the right engine by cheating. So I took every other engine, and once the plne got here, I would throw the right engine far away and put a wrong one in. Since the guy didn't know how to kick me... I had a lot of fun.

Well... The part where he blows up the lab couldnt have been his fault. There are a few translation errors in this game, at least for my language in which the subtitle tells you to add the wrong ingredient.

Ok, I'm officialy done with pubs. It was only getting worse since 2014 but it was still kinda playable. However playing in pubs these days is just downright impossible. I ecm rush simple bank heist and put down all civs using control freak, I'm immediately labeled cheater by others. I help downed dude on hoxout via inspire, again cheater, some genius ignores blackmailer on GO Bank and runs with money to van and the second alarm starts he keeps saying it was me tripping the lasers despite the big message saying "BLACKMAILER CALLED THE POLICE". I'd much rather spend another 1000 hours of PD2 solo stealthing shit than putting up with these people...
I joined a public match one time, and there was someone trying to get an achievement, which I helped by reviving him.
However, after comppeting the achievement, we started First World Bank, and I used a Medic Bag with only being downed one time. I agree, it wasn't a smart move, but fortunally, we were playing on Very Hard, so it wasn't a big problem.
However, the host started bitching at me about it, stating useless facts that I already knew. After his rambling, I said that I knew that and that he should cslm down, but he went batshit crazy on me, saying that he and some random guy were better thsn me, because they had slightly more exp thsn me. What an argument. Meanwhile he was typing his rsge, our teammate went into custody because he forgot agout him and I was moving the bags.
We continued the heist, and because I had nothing better to do, I tried to finish it. While we were in the final room, he suspiciously stopped while I went fighting the hordes of enemies. At the final moment, he kicked me... leaving 2 bulldozers and a cloaker to finish him off and his friend, which was already in custody (such teamwork).The cunt had about 50 health and no shield, so he must have been bamboozled instantly sfter my disconnection.
Moral of the story: don't try to correct teammates about their mistakes if you're also a moron.

I've never meet host or player like that. Most reason why i get kicked and banned because i'm doing wrong thing and always detected in Stealth

I once played and I was lv 97 and because my build was stealth and not loud and didn't get a chance to change it or tweak it a bit I was struggling then a guy called me noob then I got kicked after that I stopped playing online because that was the last straw I had with its toxicity now I play it alone because my friends don't play it

I play in public games. I wait for one. Once, I joined a public Shadow Raid Normal with 3 players. If things go loud, each player admits. There's a guy who's new to Shadow Raid (probably stealth). What he did was follow me and ask what to do. What I asked him to do is secure loot to the garbage. We got additional loot and would probably not if he did not secure the loot. Sometimes, communication and understanding is enough.
Lucky you got people who communicate, i was in aftershock, was in the part where go in the truck, dumbass wouldnt listen when i said to go in truck, i die, i rage

Like, i've seen people with like, 5 infamy fuck up on the most basic shit, like randomly shooting guards without answering pagers, or just being a idiot about stealth in general. But some of the new people 'i've seen. like rank 1-10. I've been able to guide them through deathwish gold rush with little difficulty.

THE LEGEND 27 thank you! I've noticed in a lot of games that the other players accuse you of cheating for having inspire aced and yelling at them to get up. It's a skill in the mastermind tree and has been since the god damn beginning of the game. How hard is it to look and see inspire up there at the top? Seriously, people in this game are actually brain dead with their 75 det rate "stealth" garbage.

This is why I solo pretty much everything unless I'm play I'm with friends. Soloing is so much easier because there is literally 0 chance of a teammate screwing up stealth or dying somewhere that you wouldn't be able to revive them even if you wanted to.

I think we all can say with ease that if you have to cheat in payday 2, you need to uninstall the game and never play again. cheat by stealing DLC or masks, i dont care but if you need to add assets and a shit ton of sentries, uninstall, never play again.
Some cheaters are jerks, but people like me help the newer players.

I'm infamy 17, and the group of friends I run with are all at least at inf 15. so you could say we are experienced playing this game. We run pretty much everything in DW, and almost exclusively stealth. Hell we can even reliably stealth Framing Frame day 3.
and that is what we were trying to do. Except I figured the high difficulty and notorious nature of Framing Frame would scare off anyone who didn't know what to do, so i leftmit open to the public. big fucking mistake. insert Infamy 0, level 20 guy with absolutely no silenced weapons and a stealth rating of 75. You can put together how that went. an hour of sneaking around a museum and a train yard, undone in less than thirty seconds

This reminds me of one time on Firestarter Deathwish Projob. I was covering the team with my KSP and switching to the locomotive for close encounters. We had both of the hangers cleaned out and the host kicked me for no reason at all. Even though I was holding the police force back and calling out specials when they appeared.

As playing the game non-stop for a whole year now, I can say that this is completely accurate.
And that's why I stuck to Normal diff. jobs until level 50. Now I'm Inf 1 Level 96 ( Haven't played recently), and feel the pain. I recall one job where it was a GO Bank DW (before the last Free Weekend luckily) and I was host. I was expecting good players and i was so naive. I ended up getting three players who had Base Game guns, only one had a silencer, and were Level 20-30. Two of them decided to wander off and shoot some civvies while I told them to wait on the phone while I worked on civvies for a second. ( I was the only one with Grenades) They shoot some GenSec guards when they arrived, but then went back inside. I rushed to grab a pager, and the other one was left alone. 2 seconds left, the other guy waiting ran over and grabbed the pager. We then went loud when the other two idiots didn't answer the phone. I kicked the other two afterwards and just did a Jewelry Store DW.

My favorite 'stealth' run is the first level of framing frames.
2- 4 people with ecm jammer specialist time their ecm, kill everyone, take everything and apparently no one cares about dead bodies as long as you get in the van before pagers go off.

It sucks that they made leveling so much easier. I haven't played much since they added 20 more infant lvls and people think I suck because I'm only infamy VI and that's super easy to get now. Rip 650 hours, I'm still awful in pubby's eyes.

+im a girl btw Oh, how I know that feeling. I'm IV-100, 631 hours, never bothered going higher, because I just don't consider the level grinding to be fun. I tend to get kicked out of games with very high infamy players or ridiculed for the "low" level or "lack of skill" that apparently comes with it. Doesn't matter I can handle every heist on DW much better than anyone I've met so far, doesn't matter I can stealth everything solo and know the game well. It's even funnier, when I carry them throughout the entire heist, usually also being the only guy in armor with a proper enforcer build, because hurr durr grinder suit master race.

ikr. It isn't that serious if you cook a small amount of bags. I was playing with some like maxed out players and a few other non-maxed but skilled players and the people who weren't cooking were taking the fucking ingredients.
At this rate, certain games can only be played with a set of well coordinated friends or a very lucky random team in order to work out well.

I get kicked from pub games for killing too much with my fug/forcer build. I'll have 200 where everyone else has around 60-100 and the host gets mad and kicks me before the end of the heist. 😢

On big bank I usually get 500~ while my teammates have about 50~ each. Hasn't happened to me once.
I have a friend who's a killing machine, usually scoring at least 3x the kills of the next guy.

I was playing Meltdown with the worst team ever. So here I am healing because I'm about to die, and these guys haven't been getting any loot at all, and they're telling me how slow I am and I need to hurry up. So I finally get to the car, and they didn't know you could have four bags in the car, so I'm grabbing another bag, about to put it in, and they just drive off. "Okay." I say. The driver is all like, "Whoops." Oh look, he's still close enough to turn around. He doesn't. I eventually catch up to them, with the bag of loot they forgot, and I see all but one of the morons is downed. I go back over and defend them, and even take down one of the SWAT turrets. How do they repay me? They drive off again. "Whoops." I finally get to the trainyard and they say, "We don't have a nuke." So the host says, "I'll go alone." For no reason at all, and I tell him how illogical that is. Oh whoops, bye he left all three of us behind. Surprise he dies. So, I start going back on foot to go find the last nuke. "Should we quit?" He asks. "I'm gonna go look one last time for the nuke." *He quits*

Don't forget about the part where people accuse you of being a cheater simply because you have inspire aced and can yell at them to stand up. It's a mastermind skill and somehow I still get called a cheater when I use it.

Solution: Either play solo or play with steam friends that can use their heads - never have a game open for randoms while stealthing or while doing puzzles when going loud. It takes less than 2 seconds after connecting and they have already blown up the meth lab, or picked up all engines. The mindset of most randoms out there is obviously to play online in a heavily teamwork-based and tactical co-op game .. like a singleplayer game. That or they are high leveled users that shows no experience in what they are doing, likely cheaters. I get them in my games all the time.
I had a guy tell me once "It's not about doing the job quickly, it's about doing it CORRECTLY" (I killed all civvies in an ECM rush on a card farm)

I HATE people who leave the second a heist goes loud. Like stick it the fuck out dude the whole point is that youre supposed to adapt to the plan changing when things go wrong, thats the whole reason it doesnt insta fail you.
honestly youre not a "pro" if youre only good at learning to do a mission one specific way and then just restarting over and over till you get it right. thats just trial and error, anyone can do that.
Considering Big Oil is a Pro Job only then it's flat out impossible to restart.

On loud, I've never actually had many negative experiences, except the few random jerks who kick you at the end so you don't get rewards.
I never understood these people, doesn't the game itself tell you that rewards aren't divided between players and instead everyone gets the same amount?

I'm okay with cheaters as long as they're using it to maybe get different masks (Well, as long as they don't cheat the difficulty masks, lmao.) or materials n' shit. The second they start spawning shit or doing their usual cheats, I kick them.

When I was new to Payday 2 in the cook of mission I thought the goal was to make t explode so I would do it wrong and escape then feel proud of myself.
I play on crimewave ps4 (i tried payday on computer and it was a cool slide show).
Anyways, i found a bank heist gold deathwish game. Everybody had ictv and big guns i put on loud gear too. I rushed to the bank to drill and they restarted and kicked me because it went loud. What the fuck.

I never play with cheaters. If I am host, I kick. If the cheater is host, I leave. If the host isn't a cheater but another client is, I tell the host to kick me or the cheater.
I only ever stealth solo.
Loud, I can usually carry any noobs (unless DW, where pretty much everyone must know what they are doing, no time to babysit). Which is why I never to DW publics.
So that's my experience with pubs :)

I'm sorry to leave a negative comment, the video's done well buuuut....
That first scenario before the title drop was a bit your fault, not that of your team. You see, that large open area is generally where all of the cops are, making any revival in the area, especially during an assault, both a death wish and mostly impossible. The only time anyone's been revived from there i know of is when an assault cools off or the savior is in the Iron Man suit, or when the "yell to revive" skill is used. It would have been a better move to run from the police and find some cover in that scenario. Otherwise, cool vid, bro.
Overall, having nobody to cover you while in the open is sort of a flop, especially at higher difficulties.
+Foxite Kuubi That is true. It's kinda a no brainer that you will die if you run into the open with cops everywhere shooting. At least wait for the cool off, have decent armor, place a sentry to attract the heat, or use cover.
