For everyone who's moving to Texas just remember why you left your home town in the first place. Lets keep Texas, Texas.
So true! If these people love the communism, they should stay in California for good, don’t make themselves like China virus being contagious to the rest part of the country.

@@oliberrr give a panhandler some money
Texans should run ads saying just remember why you left California.
I think many are just moving to get out of high price rent and the word got out that you can actually afford homes in Texas. No more high rent with homeless living everywhere! Then theres those who own a measles shack that is worth way more than it should. So they sell and go buy a nice big home in texas twice the size with better amenities or just amenities in general! I know people leaving other states than California to head to Texas shortly! CALIFORNIA is just charging way too much for homes and rent is way to high! I wish you Texans luck! I'm just glad I left 20 years ago.
Far left ruined California, Seattle, Portland.
Wait till big tech moves in at greater numbers, increasing property values astronomically where native Texans wont even be able to afford to live there. The new breed will bring their politics, and the people who vote for them in no time. California used to be a Republican stronghold, and not unlike Texas until about the 80's with regard to economics, policies, and a general independent way of life. Once Hollywood became Hollyweird, silicon valley swallowed California's economy whole, and Chinese influence and global industrial trade policies consumed American businesses, California and many other places lost it's shine. Texas is just a place, but a grand place because of the breath of its scope and the independence of its people. Make no mistake, any place no matter how grand can become just another shit show run down part of the country to live in if this California migration trend continues to spread into Texas and other parts of the country.
@@erob52 from what I hear you guys got the gun rights how they should be. That may play a big factor aswell for leaving California along with all the agreeable comments you previously made. Hopefully your gun laws will keep the criminal mischief to a min. Or nonexistence!
THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!! my fear is they will bring that same mindset to those states and fuck them up. Remember why you left
They took over Austin, my hometown for 38 years. Texans left Austin because the Californians caused houses and taxes to go through the roof. I moved to better place in Texas (I'll never tell).

Well they will. People from California and Texas ruined Colorado.
They ruined Oregon.
Too late LOL
Too late.. once moved there that property value has increased and will then soon leave neighborhoods too expensive for Texans to afford... it's the rich not Californians or Texans that are the problem
It’s not even politics more people whether from NY or Cali or Fl will increase the property prices in Texas
Texas natives won’t be able to afford Texas soon
No joke, the land will all be taken with little for our children...
Yep!... That is exactly what happened to Oregon & Seattle WA and it happened very quickly!... California is a nightmare. Every idiotic idea embraced and evil dismissed.
California is a very beautiful place, but voters put in terrible politicians. I loved living in San Diego when I was there. It was not uber-liberal at that time. Also, now prices are through the roof, in part because so many foreigners and very wealthy Americans buy their second, third, fourth homes on the California coast and the average American workers are outpriced. It's sad. Liberal/foreign/elite/uberwealthy are destroying California dreamin'.😓

@Alien West dude, that sounds exactly like what's happening here. I live 2 hours South of Toronto (near Niagara Falls). A peaceful small town, very laid back and lots of land. At least it used to be. The housing market was cheap here. Then everyone from the city found out about it and sold their tiny houses in the city for a million dollars and bought mansions down here for $500K, leaving them with no mortgage and a half million spending money. Totally smart move and I can't fault them for it. I have no problem with them buying the houses for that. But now whats happened is since our town is small, doesn't generate a lot of revenue (closest hospital is 30 mins away), so now they're selling all of their land to big developers and making tons of cookie cutter subdivisions and driving out the wildlife, and now the rent went from $700 a month to average of $1300. The houses used to be 1-200K and now it's double or triple that. The people who lived here can't afford to live here. And watching the town get sold to developers is heart breaking.
What's wrong with canada?
It’s too many Californians coming here. House prices are ridiculous now!
Thats what happens as soon as people see a chance to make money.#GREED.
Its still cheap to rich Californians and New Yorkers. They will buy up all the property and leave you with nothing. Just like they did in my hometown.
This is exactly what I just thought. California real estate moguls already know everyone leaving california, so they will run to your state buy up as much real estate as they can and mark the prices up for the newcomers. They do it here, and they will bring their habits to your state. Your future children might have the same problem as california. Too high of rents that average jobs can't pay for. Let's hope your state doesn't have too many regulations so you can build alot of housing to keep the prices affordable.
why can't these tech companies go to Louisiania, Arkansas, Missisippi, Kansas and Alabama instead and leave Texas alone, they're not going to hire the local work force anyway.
They act like this just started. I dated a guy in Austin TX backnin 2009 who had made the move from San Diego two years prior. Texas will end up a shit hole too once they all move there.
And then, Texas turns into California and the people ponder, “What happened?!”
Haha seriously
Not going to happen
That’s what has taken place in Colorado. Californicators. They promote the same ideas they left California for. It’s like a cancer spreading across our country.

As a native Texan it’s getting so annoying at all this traffic now as compared to a couple years back
In Phoenix, traffic has gotten exponentially worse too because of them
That's my biggest issue with the influx of Californians: the way they congest the highways. Second is the impact on housing costs. Humans can't do anything in moderation. We go overboard every time.
It won't be much longer until DFW is no better than the major metro areas in CA. Californians are literally saturating, smothering and clogging up the cities in Texas and making them loathsome places to drive/work/live.
no wonder it's so damn hard to buy houses in TX now

No you can't just go another state and try to make it like the one you just left. As a Texan I feel there is going to be conflict in the beginning and people who moved from California scared as they don't have the same things that left behind, an example would weed which is not legal in Texas other than medical which is difficult to get.
Contrary to what Texans think, your state isn't Californians first choice; Californians have been moving to Washington and Oregon (central especially) for many decades and now Idaho is exploding with population growth for the same reasons. Personally, having lived in Texas and Oklahoma earlier in life, I can't choke down 3% property tax in Dallas no matter how much you try and sell the experience to me. My words to anyone thinking about moving to Texas: check the weather and check the property taxes right after you notice how the housing market is so much less. I still remember what snow in the morning and 75° in the afternoon is like and tornado warnings. A great example of how things can go wrong is Bend Oregon, where there's very few professional level job's that support the astronomical housing costs since everyone brought their California money with them, but its a very nice community despite no way to make a living. The same thing will happen to these Texas communities with the best job being a realtor.

Title : "Californians explain why so many are moving to Texas"
Other title : "Socialism migrating to Texas to mess another state"
I’m a California native by choice living in Idaho. Lived in San Antonio 1994-2001. There’s good reasons to leave CA for TX. California is run by elected sociopaths, unelected bureaucrats, and big businesses. All for their own benefit. They’ve ruined the California I grew up in.
I remember when I was going to move to the US a while back I was offered 2 jobs, one in Silicon Valley, the other in Texas. The Silicon Valley one was paying twice what the Texas job paid, but the agent told me “sounds crazy but the Texas job even at half the salary is a much better deal than Silicon Valley”. Guess that speaks for itself.
No it does not speak for itself. Move to Texas I'd you wish. I promise California will just be fine.
@@Blocphace It speaks volumes actually. A 4 bedroom house in Silicon Valley is 1.6 million vs. 300k in a major Texas city. Gasoline is $4.50 a gallon in Silicon Valley and $2.25 in Texas. Tolls in the Bay Area from the suburbs to SF can be around $10 depending which bridges you take vs. $2.50 on average in Texas. When you factor in the California state tax on top of federal vs. no state income tax in Texas it becomes very clear that the cost of living is outrageous in California for most people. Only those earning very high salaries don't mind.
You need a new agent
I highly doubt any agent stated that. Agents job was to pump real estate in Cali at the time, not Texas.
Unless you had a rogue agent trying to sell you property in Texas before the hedge funds even started to pump it, which is unlikely as well.
I have friends here in 🇳🇿 New Zealand who took up tech jobs in San Francisco and Texas due to the greater opportunities and higher salaries.

New home prices in Dallas have doubled since 2010 because of this.
Welcome to Bend Oregon, or any number of places in Washington, Idaho or Colorado. That website needs to shut down. We don’t need these California ppl moving to Texas.
I wonder if they are changing their minds now...
Well I’ll say WHY I won’t move to Texas. You all see that open land, yeah, all that open land BELONGS TO SOMEONE! I was born and raised in Texas, lived in a big house with open land around me. The minute I would take my dirt bike into that open land, there was always some neighbor ready to put a stop to my fun and remind me that I was trespassing. California has a lot of open land that belongs to the state. Land for hiking, enjoying your dirt bike in the open desert or just going surfing at a city beach, open land that no one will lecture you that you are trespassing. There is nothing much to do in Texas, it is a very short list compared to California. That’s why if you move to Texas, you better buy yourself a huge beautiful house because you will be spending all your time in there and get ready for any “public improvement development” taxes. People in California are giving the middle finger to state government and their shutdown, law enforcement won’t even enforce many of the laws imposed. I feel I have more freedom in California than I will ever feel In Texas.
Your right about that! Ca has many places to visit. That’s why everybody is moving here. From theme parks, beaches Lakes, National parks, Sight seeing. The list goes in Vegas isn’t that far away either. I visit a few times a year. Years back they’re were people moving from Texas to California 2 of my neighbors are from Texas. A co worker of mine is from is from Texas. 💁♂️
You sound like such a brat.
@@LivinFree-st1rd is that why even your news says there's a mass exodus?
Have fun with the fires burning from Mexican drug cartels farming your open land into hundreds of millions of dollars of marijuana and hope not to run into them in that open land to see them and you not be the authorities because just like an episode of Breaking Bad your life may be in danger. Have fun in a wealthy state that's so greedy that they can't focus on getting that problem solved and money towards it to people who are willing to get it out of there state for a problem that's worsening there and that's just that problem in Cali.
Probably trust fund baby.
