According to the plot, perestroika has already moved from the Kremlin tribunes to the streets of large and small cities. The Soviet Union is dying before our eyes, and together with the premonition of change, freedom of speech, music, and prices appears, and freedom of conscience bordering on despair. While the parents are fighting for survival, the children abandoned by everyone get together in street packs and "fight for the asphalt". They are in the literal sense to control everything that stands on their land or moves along it. n the midst of general poverty - clear rules of life, support and the word of the boy, which are the page of the oath. But friendship and concepts of justice are increasingly mixed with violence and crime.
The main character Andrey is a 14-year-old boy from an intelligent family who studies at a music school and lives with his mother and 5-year-old sister. Andrey regularly faces pressure from street teenagers. To protect himself, he makes friends with “the boys.” One of them, 14-year-old Marat, becomes Andrei’s and the viewer’s guide into the complex world of the streets. Fights, discos with recognizable hits of the 80s, video stores with “Rambo” and “RoboCop”, relationships within a street “family”, love and friendship, loyalty and betrayal - these are the elements this story consists of.
