  • A continuation of our walk through Delft, the Netherlands, where Vermeer was born and spent his life.
During Vermeer's time, Delft's pottery industry flourished, and the beautiful pottery symbolized by the word "Delft Blue" was widely loved.
Currently, the only place in Delft that has inherited this tradition is the Royal Delft.
This historic workshop is both a pottery production site and a museum.
Experienced craftsmen at work, delft porcelain masterpieces from all eras, and a cafe restaurant with wonderful tableware is also very attractive.
You can also purchase a series of Vermeer's famous paintings in Delft Blue at the shop, commemorating the largest ever Vermeer exhibition currently being held at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
In the second half of the video, we will visit the place where Vermeer's landscape painting "The Little Street" is said to have been painted.
Plus, there are some charming bakeries and chocolate shops in the city.
We will end our trip in Delft with a visit to Vermeer's grave.
