  • The young man who bears the title Aworo of Osogbo land shared his deep knowledge of Osun with correspondents of Legit.ng during the Osun Osogbo festival.
    The young priest who was dressed traditionally with a hairstyle synonymous to the river goddess' style explained the importance of the goddess to the people and the significance of the festival.
    According to him, the river goddess is a bearer of many gifts including fertility. The Aworo attributed his vast knowledge of Ifa and Osun to his traditional education. Without being to the four walls of a school, the young man studied Ifa for four years and spent the same number of years learning about Osun.
