As you rightly said, it is very stressful getting accommodation in Canada and not easy as people think to get a place for someone. Because you need to show some personal information like ID, bank statement, sometimes reference from work or family in Canada, E.t.c
So, like you said, get student accommodation in the school hostel (sometimes you have to sign a 6-12 months lease), also get Airbnb and hotels if you don’t want to stay in school too.

That’s because you have opted for a one year course, so ensure to have a two year course or take another course to get a 3 years postgraduate work permit

Get a postgraduate certificate instead of a diploma. So many Colleges have 2years courses for that.
