Those hooks on the side rails are the only part carried from S1 though to TDCI defender

One technical question…
When you bolt the bar to the chassis, did you put some sort of pad underneath ?
Like a rubber pad between the rollcage and the chassis ..!? 🤔
I asking because THESE points could be moving and wiggle a little and scratch the surface and then corrosion would start in earnest.

We didn't but that would have been a really good idea. In the past, for these kinds of installs I have used an old bicycle inner tube and cut to shape, which has worked well as they are not too thick.
Looks like you put the tie-down tabs on the side backwards. That's going to chafe your rope!
Yep, this is the one job Simon had and he drilled them all out before painting them. So when I arrived we had no choice. Should be ok for a a few years though.
