Hepatic Arterial Infusion at the UK Markey Cancer Center

The UK Markey Cancer Center is the only healthcare facility in Kentucky that offers Hepatic Arterial Infusion (HAI). Born from successful clinical trials at the University of Kentucky, our HAI program is offering hope for patients with certain advanced cancers. HAI delivers chemotherapy directly to the liver. For many patients, this treatment can extend their life longer than standard chemotherapy. Hepatic arterial infusion is used to treat patients with:
· Advanced colorectal cancers that have spread to the liver
· Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer that starts in the bile duct
