Great video, it's sad that you didn't show a build for Dragon Link, but I understand that it's a deck that can be approached in many ways. A deck that I would probably recommend for beginners is bystial control, it is a deck that is more oriented towards using various main deck handtraps with a consistent Bystial engine, it is not complicated to play, as overall, its play main thing is to do Hieratic Seal and pass with several handtraps in hand, and the deck has the advantage of being able to use floodgates without suffering much damage, such as Skill Drain, in which the effect of Hieratic Seal of tribute to bounce a card is not negated, since in terms of price I don't know if it would be too expensive, since I don't know how much an American earns, but I think it's a deck to keep an eye on if you're a beginner.
I'm just picking up the tcg and picked dragon link as my first deck. Not willing to spend on lubellion just yet so going to focus on getting my rokket plays consistent.
So as a stax player from magic, the labrynth line really is exactly why I bought the deck as a new player. I started with traptrix and love the deck and saw lab was doing a little better. I agree that difficulty is subjective though, since I found traptrix to be a lot easier since Rafflesia gives instant access to traps whereas lady requires you to plan for the future. Something I do comment about is that at least coming in, the combos felt like the easy part (at least traptrix lines were simple after i watched a guide), the hard part is that with the amount of tools its hard to know when to pull the trigger so personally I find the "control" playstyle incredibly punishing initially since I am handtrapping, or just trapping, in the wrong instances. Maybe since I haven't messed with many decks, but being on the defensive for the most part my lack of knowledge definitely lead to some losses out the gate since so far I have really just done research on my decks.
Nice video, but I have one suggestion in builds with expensive staples like Thrust or Prosperity make a note as to how much the deck costs with them and without.
I know you mentioned Prosperity being a good card to cut for budget, but I also would've specified it's basically $130 worth of cut. Since I don't find $300 dollars to be a very budgety target myself for a new player, those $130 make a lot of difference. Though you could argue there's also no side deck.
I'm on infinite copium that Shaddoll is viable. It's the only deck that truly resonates with me (even though I play like 7 or 8 decks regularly) and I'll probably never give up on it no matter how power crept it gets.
late reply here, don't give up on shaddoll, I'll be honest I only got back into yugioh in 2020 and only properly this year but I've seen shaddoll used as a hybrid, normally with branded or kashtira or something. lore wise shaddolls have taken their forms from other monsters in the game, some of those in lore monsters work with the deck core... some do work better than others I personally am looking into maybe trying to see if I can build a chaos engine into a shaddoll deck for competitive play, a couple of simple cards like chaos sorcerer as fodder or something
This will make for good sharing material anytime I run into anyone asking how to get in. My main method is usually just to direct them to Master Duel Meta’s Secret Pack database. I just tell ‘em to scroll and click on anything that looks cool and try that (while hoping they don’t pick the Alley of Justice Flamvell pack).
😢 the pain when I hear pendulum decks and it’s not odd eyes. I still think it’s the best deck in that category. Also for super budget deck that’s new, cheap, and fairly easy for beginners I’d say is the gate guardian. If they use needlebug nest and hand destruction it’s really easy to speed up the process to spam the boss.

I want to say, as an eldlich player I wanted a replacement of my deck, something that I would like, a deck that sets traps and doesn't die when their cards gets banished. Rescue-ace was truly a fun deck (and it will be better with the incoming support). Combo deck but not that much (I can't stand decks that take 20+ minutes to play), sets 4 traps directly from the deck. Can go blind 2nd and the side deck can be potentially any card you want. Tbh this is my favorite deck ever. It's not tier 1 but the blind going 2nd could get you wins as a rogue without support, then it could be tier 2. I forgot to say, the deck could potentially set a whole board going 2nd on your opponents turn. And it's not broken, just a skill deck with many options.
I always enjoy this kind to video that help new player but I would love to see a video like that which would show some other more casual and budget decks like melffy and suship to players who don't really care about the competitive scene and just want a cheap deck to try out with fans or at locals.

@@MonkeyFightTCG you... might have to point me toward it... I glanced at the video list, and I'm not immediately seeing which tier list video is which... and considering Master Duel is a bit delayed from the IRL card game in terms of new releases......
what is this Marincess deck list? 3 Mandarin, 3 Wave, Crystal Heart? I do appreciate the deck being mentioned a lot but deck list shown seems off to me but quite a bit. I play this deck a ton irl and in masterduel and while its not the deck I am best with, I'd say I still have a good understanding off how it plays and how to build it. I know this won an event but still, it feels bricky and weaker than it could be to me.
Only if you go for the handtrap staples and Extra Deck staples that are completely unrelated to the archetype, playing Mathmech pure with generic Cyberse/generic monotype support cards could be the cheaper alternative. Just know that this variant tends to be battle heavy midrange-aggro in the hands of good player, and Magma can potentially be a strong board breaker, so long its effect is not negated(ban Skill Drain and FTKs) and Magma has enough ATK. Also 2 Accescode Talker cores are not worth running, and its effects can die to anti-banish effects real easily, and Mathemech mostly doesn't care about banishing in general unless banishing IS the floodgate... and battle heavy decks have not really been good for a long while now sadly...
Madolche the closet thing to an otk deck? When many is complaining about how easy is it to get killed via update > accesscode in cyberse decks AND mathmech is on the list? Weird.
While purely options are straightforward for an experenced player, a new player might have trouble understanding the decks options and how they need to interact with an opponents deck
@@MonkeyFightTCG fair however personaly i mostly think the mid difficulty on purr is mostly the understanding on the discard engines and the extra techs you can use in your extradeck

Buy singles off of a site like tcg player
And there's me start with zombie world and red eye zombie lord
Try to choose a deck where chances are the highest where konami thinks that has a big fanbase
So blackwing!?
Watching Alubar decks lose against a Skull Knight/Saint Joann Fusion deck is pretty Hilarious.
I'd put Purrely in Easy, not Mid. The deck is literally modern Qliphort.
Is it me, or I skipped the dlink build?
No Phantom Knights/Raidraptor :((
Great video! Can you do an update? :)
This is all cool and helpful but what do you mean 300$ is budget I can buy so much more useful stuff for that price then so Yu-Gi-Oh cards
Yeah its unfortunate it costs that much. But for yugioh decks that is the cheaper side of the spectrum.
peak content
Wait what, Live Twin Spright is weak? I've only been gone for 2 months, how did that happen?
The meta has moved very very quickly
what is this Marincess deck list? 3 Mandarin, 3 Wave, Crystal Heart? I do appreciate the deck being mentioned a lot but deck list shown seems off to me but quite a bit. I play this deck a ton irl and in masterduel and while its not the deck I am best with, I'd say I still have a good understanding off how it plays and how to build it. I know this won an event but still, it feels bricky and weaker than it could be to me.
That deck performed very well at a regional and is very standard for decks that do win those events.
@@MonkeyFightTCG interesting to me but i suppose that could just be that in my region different decks are being played.
I loved the list, but Mathmech is getting expensive.
This is false and bad advice
Madolche the closet thing to an otk deck? When many is complaining about how easy is it to get killed via update > accesscode in cyberse decks AND mathmech is on the list?
Weird.
Add in the list shown doesn’t have the said otk line.
I'm sorry, UNDER $300 is *BUDGET*?????
Unfortunately yeah. Yugioh has predatory monetization.
Damn, no d-link recommended ?
I just wanna ask since when purrely its a hard to learn to play deck
While purely options are straightforward for an experenced player, a new player might have trouble understanding the decks options and how they need to interact with an opponents deck
@@MonkeyFightTCG fair however personaly i mostly think the mid difficulty on purr is mostly the understanding on the discard engines and the extra techs you can use in your extradeck
You totally forgot about dragon link
Mathmech. One word. Circular.
Thought it was Superfactorial
Well circular gets to superfactorial. Circular is just a crazy starter and extender
"anything below 300€ is budget" 💀💀💀💀💀
It do be like that
Anything under $300 is budget 😨
I feel that but it's how yugioh is. konami as a company needs to change how they run the game for it to be more accessable.
Are you sure ishizu tearlamnets is rogue
Yes easily
I'm very simple, Looks Cool = I play
No punk gold pride in the video 😢
Theyre not a popular deck
@@MonkeyFightTCG It just got new support in the latest set and got quite a bit of hype behind it
They hype is for the deck to be good in the future, not as it is now
@@MonkeyFightTCG sure it's not one of the 'greatest decks' in the format, but it's sure as hell better than invoked or VW. All I'm saying is you should've given it a chance.
I did. It doesn't have a tournament presence and it's also not cheap making it a bad recommendation.
$300 is considered budget? Jeez I'll stick with master duel.
