In this video I talk about my experience of getting admitted at the psychiatric ward in the hospital and dropping out of university.
I got diagnosed with high functioning autism and have learned a lot in my 1,5 year of recovery from depression and trauma.
I am sharing this story to give you more context on my experiences. I will post more video's on mental health and personal development, based on my personal experience and what I have learned through my education to become a counsellor.
I hope this video gives you faith that you can crawl back up too. I hope you feel less alone, because you are not alone.
You are beautiful, and I love you.

Amazing! I know it's not easy sharing things that are so difficult & emotional. You are extremely brave, and your message is so incredibly inspiring. Being different isn't easy, but it's what makes us stronger. ❤
yes- hey! you all make it look easy, y'know it? what a small world it is, this giant database we're all in , haha
@@tinfoilhatter It's definitely a smaller world than we realize sometimes. :)
Thank you very much Jess. I feel a deep need to share my story. It is part of teaching myself that I am allowed to be here, to take up space and that my voice is just as important as any other's. I also want other peoole to feel less alone and share what I have learned. We need to reach out in order to connect with people. This is my way of reaching out. 🙏🏼❤
@@thegardenofeve You are absolutely right. Don't ever let anyone ever make you feel you are unimportant. It's people like you who are the most important, the ones who make a difference!!
@@Jessisamess79 aaahw that is so sweet. Thank you for your compliment and compassion. Much love to you! 😘
I do want to make a quick comment of appreciation to the staff at the hospital for letting my cat visits me 2 times. Despite that the whole experience was quite traumatizing for me and my boundaries were seriously violated, I do feel intense joy when I look back at my cat being so happy to see me again and I feel intense joy when I think back at her running around in the patio there. That was wonderful and it truly helped me to stay connected to my true self despite all the suffering around me. I just felt like I needed to express that gratitude. 🙏🏼
looks like you're doin' great! i know how ya feel! i won't go near a camera, but you look and sound great! so relax! and i didn't mean to disturb ya~~~~~
Thank you very much for your lovely compliments. You don't disturb me in any way. 🙏🏼
@@thegardenofeve i look fwd to seeing and hearing more of your videos, - is it cold there in the nederlands? 'netherlands' is my favorite album, by dan fogelberg, since i was a kid
@@tinfoilhatter i have never heard of that album, I'll have a google search party on it! 💃 It is not very cold actually, it is a bit colder than last week and more rainy, but it has actually been extremely warm for february. Quite worrysome imo (the master i dropped out of was a master in sustainability science, so this strange weather pattern worries me sometimes). It was about 11 degrees celcius today. Where do you live? 😃
You are sweet.💗
Thank you Robin 😊🙏🏼
