By placing in Top 16. India's Divita Rai gave a hard tight slap to those faces who criticize her. Most of the people did not gave her due. Not even mentioned her in their predictions and day to day reviews. All mouths shut down by becoming the only Asian to place in the finals. She was interviewed by many people in New Orleans. But still people running behind other countries. Hate on Harnaaz was shown on Divita too. Karma hits people at right time.
LAOS is also from Asia (and if you stretch it further, Miss Canada is Asian-Canadian)

So true divita never got her due ,all the so called critics was busy taunting her ,doubting her capabilities ,but she proved everyone wrong ,had she got a better gown she could have entered top5 and slayed there

We never said he didn’t like India or hated India.He clearly avoided India and sidelined divita. The truth is he not even doubted, he completely avoided the potential of India, where as he included other sash factors even though they clearly underperformed in prelims. Stop playing these modest games and let’s be real. We know it’s YOUR prediction list. But you are now a public pageant influencer and thus realise it and accept it with grace. It’s not hate.
Sometimes predictions are not accurate. He got only 8 right. There are 8 other girls who made it outside of his prediction list. So relax. This is not the end of miss universe. It will come again next year.
India once again was flag barer of asia together with Laos,congrats to each queen who made in top 16 and also to those who failed to place because each one of you worked hard to be here,gal gadot was unplaced and see her today

@Vignesh if india and S Africa were in top 5, India will get 1st runners up or lower 😀. They won't give b2b even if she did very well also. I'm saying this by the way they they are organising the competition this year. They will probably not give to S Africa either. Their last wining was quite recent.
I am Indian, and I am so happy that Divita was placed! But as an Indian my heart goes out for The Phillipines🥺. I felt like I was shot dead (😂) when the 16th spot wasn't called as the Philippines. But I want to shoutout to Celeste. We love you girl, India loves you, the universe loves you, no matter what the consequences have been you will forever be a Miss universe reigning in everyone's heart! 🇮🇳 ❤ 🇵🇭.
Also I am very satisfied with the winner, no doubt USA deserved it! Congrats!
But still Venezuela, Amanda, my love...😭😭🥺🥺. I mean every atom of her body was screaming Miss Universe that night 🥺....

This MU batch was damn competitive but so heart breaking at the same time!
Tightest slap on those who underestimate our divita 🇮🇳, I advice some overconfident people don't judge too early.🖖miss universe is not just about wear high fashion clothes, looks and walk , (communication skills) also matter this is a lesson for those who bashed on candidate.

And we should focus on giving criticism to Miss Diva regarding India's gown choice in the recent years. Miss Diva is killing the deserving girls with their horrible gown design. Ritika, vartika and so on.
And we are doing gold silver rhinestone gown for 3 consecutive years

We can't afford another 21 years of Dark years non placement because of styling disaster

They were silent when their people bullied Harnaaz and mocked Divita.

These people over-hyped girls who performed less and girls like Divita who performed and kept the consistency were ignored.. These experts didn't say a single word when their own people bullied a 21 year old girl and tried to destroy her career and mental stability.. Laos was fanvote , so India was the only Asian who made it through judges choice . She became the Asian flag bearer and answered in amazing way to all the haters !

Yes many said Colombia is fan vote. Don't underestimate Laos. Both Laos and India is the flag bearer of Asia this year.
But it was mentioned on the show that it was Colombia hence she was called last

Divita made us proud but to be honest, there was something lacking (IT factor).

@@RJ-bj6yo personally I feel that gown was still fine but her trainer did not taught her something new..I mean Miss Diva is obsessed with that Aleisa aunty who teaches same catwalk to each and every girl
This was one of the reason I think Divita didn't make it..last year, Harnaz was under Deepti who just highlighted harnaaz's personality through her catwalk.
I want to say that Miss Diva organization needs to appoint some new trainers.. I know it's more about the contestant but it's the trainer who highlights and improves the contestant's walk and overall personality

So when it was announced that this year India will appoint someone for Miss Universe, Our National director Natasha ma'am approached some heavy wishlist girls, even other girls from Miss Diva 2021, Miss India 2020 and so on but no one agreed to step into the shoes of Harnaaz's successor due to fear of going for back to back. They knew it wasn't possible and they didn't want to represent our country knowing they probably won't win. But Divita! Damn this woman went for it and grabbed the opportunity and she made it in the semis. Her courage is unmatched and we are nothing less than grateful to the universe and Divita and Miss Diva team for making this happen for us and for Asia as a whole because she's the only Asian to make it by the judges choice. I believe her calmness and genuine aura let her be there. She's truly a transformational leader.
Actually you guys divided Asia into ASEAN.. tbh...latino are more United than asian ..you guys keep dividing asia into ASEAN and comparing.. comparing is good but if it is healthy..but u guys putting asian delegates each other and fight..learn from latina..no matter what latina always support each other .. alarming situation. We asian need to stand together..

I wish Asian pageantry fans can be as united as African fans. Seeing Asians fans bullying candidates its not nice at all. This applies to Latin countries too.
Other African countries are united except for Nigerian fans. For some reason they were all over the place hating on Ndavi and comparing her to their candidate all the time. It was like they were competing with SA.

Looking at the top 5, those women were phenomenal. They were all wonderful speakers. The new era of Miss Universe is looking for advocates that can speak their hearts out. I think it was surprising but also very fairly done, judging by the communication skills of the top 16. Sorry for the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.... They were all beautiful but i guess their speaking skills did not make the mark.

I believe the organization wants to recognize other countries, not just the power houses. They started this last year.

The criteria changed when Anne took MU from IMG, and it was too late for many countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, etc. If the Philippines had known this was going to happen, we would have crowned Michelle Dee or Pauline Amelinckx instead. If Anne had taken MU several years ago, several other candidates would not have made it (Maxine, Gazini, Rachel, and MJ to name a few). Celeste had the fire and was glowing during MUP but during MU she just looked tired. She got too comfortable with her sash that she depended on it (and her beauty) without trying as hard as she could, come on...she wore a sweatsuit during her travel to the USA, which is not a good first impression. Also, you cannot just develop an advocacy for the sake of your national pageant and Miss Universe...it must be a lifelong passion, and if not, Anne will know. Don't be shocked going forward if MUP doesn't crown the prettiest contestant. Inner beauty outweighs outer beauty at MU.
Maxine Gazini and Rabiya :3 Don't hate them but definately there were more deserving...Maxine was the worst Sorry to say
Hi Alvin it's always the interviews behind close doors that decide who's the strong delegates to participate on the final night. This reminds me of 2019 when Gazini didn't make it to the top 10.

This year was a KARMA year 😱
MUPH robbed Bohol that night and she was the deserving winner
And their winner went unplaced at miss uni breaking 11 years streak
MUT they robbed Veena pravinar Singh twice and see the country got unplaced twice
KARMA really hit hard whenever it hit

Bohol's on stage performance isn't that strong, she probably wouldn't have made it that far in competition. She would've probably ended in top 16, I would probably vote for Michelle Dee, with the right training she would've probably done better.
I think the 1st runner up girl looks more sharp compared to Celeste. Her performance in the national competition looks like she can go face to face with the finalists this year.

We can say powerhouse but not hype enough like the Asean countries. India has been consistently placing in miss universe, miss world, Supra etc. in the recent years.
Never judge by high class photoshoot or sexy body miss Universe want a leader who can talk who IS unstoppable usa IS my predicted winner....

If you go back and listen...as each top 16 delegate was called..right after we hear the delegates voice in a statement.
Those are taken from the interview with the jury..and were shared with the public by the MU org to show the public what the jury heard from that candidate that made the jury fall in love with the delegate and raise her to top 16.
No that's not right! I don't think interviews are recorded(I can be wrong). Besides if you observe, the dress they were wearing in the video is different from what they all wore during the interview. This video was shot most likely during the 2nd or 3rd day.

@@maya8627 Ofcourse they are listening. That's the reason they take close-door interviews! I am just telling that this wasn't from their interview day. I followed the pageant since day 1 so I know that it isn't from the interview day

It might sound rude, but take it with a pinch of salt. Philippines was overhyped and to say that she was the best Pinoy Delegate sent to Miss Universe (hello Catriona Gray) is crazy. An unbiased view should have helped her preliminary performance was lackluster, ofcourse no one is denying that she is gorgeous but that's not the only thing required to be Miss Universe. I haven't seen a single instance where I was convinced that she could do well in the interviews, and i was affirmed when the top 16 was called.

I'm so happy that Miss Spain Alicia made the top 16 and left behind so many favorites... You can never underrate the good job of a lady like her. That's a lesson that life gave to you.
The biggest surprise for me was Canada. I did not think she would place, but before all the ladies had won their national contests I picked her out as a possible placeholder. Then all the other ladies won their nationals and she got lost in the shuffle. I am glad she placed. I was impressed by Haiti in the prelims and picked her out as a placeholder. She was no surprise to me. As far as the Philippines not placing I also called that during the prelims. She just did not have the energy and the wow factor I have seen in many of the ladies this year. It was fierce competition this year and it was hard to pick a winner. My top two predictions were Venezuela and Puerto Rico. I had Miss USA in the top 5 but did not expect her to win. Miss USA was a standout during prelims and during the finals. That dress she wore had a wow factor. Her Question and Answers were spot on and she slayed the swimsuit. So did Venezuela though. I couldn't choose which one I liked best.
Alvin I am gutted for Philippines, she worked so hard to get there, I just want to give her a hug. I can't imagine where she went wrong. For Jamaica, Thailand and Indonesia not to make it is a huge disappointments as well. I loved Venezuela and South Africa though!

I hate these bullying toxic fans 😡 they ruin the experience for everyone 👎🏻 this is also a humbling experience for the girls. It goes to show that just because you’re from a sash factor country that does not guarantee a placement. You have to give your best at all times including prelims and not just save your best for finals. Because you might not get that second chance. Don’t just assume that you will 🤷🏻♀️
Ouchhh! From India myself, but reading the comments....Indians can be mean and bitchy too 😬 Salt-rubbing happening everywhere. Please, Alvin isn’t at fault here. Tbh, even I doubted India’s placement this time, considering those horrid gowns aunty peacock gave Divita to wear.
Happy for Divita. I’d hoped she’d make the top 16 at least, those horrid gowns notwithstanding. She did it against all odds on her own merit and kept India’s streak running. Miss Supra was a fair competition the winner was a standout from the go Rboney won in miss universe she deserved it but in the top 5 and top 3 they did make it easier for her as being the only home language English speaker in it i feel them leaving South Africa out was deliberate than leaving puerto rico out of the top 3 they. Did set her up for a win

Honestly, it's a satisfactory to see some under radar candidates made it to Top 16, especially Canada who got bashed and doubt by many fans and pageant experts. It shows that this MU era really focus on the inner quality of the girls, who really fight hard with their advocacy. And of course, they are beautiful in their own way. For me, the top 5 are very deserving and their advocacy is genuine. Any of them can be a great miss universe. Plus, Alvin was right at the beginning that Curacao was going to do great. Congratulations to the top 16 🎉

I hate my gut feeling sometimes. I actually put Haiti as my possible darkhouse after the prelims, Canada is the one I always ignored but when I saw her picture in as a thumbnail on other RUclipsr channel, the picture is telling me something she's might be placed but I choose to ignored her. Laos doing so well in prelims but I never thought she will made the cut. I am proud of Laos made history for her country

Canada is the real surprise this year 😀 others were doing well. To be honest if thailand and philipines are to be included i think Spain and Canada will be dropped from the list, just my opinion.
You underestimated India so does every Pageant Pages except for the Sovereign Queen. We knew Divita would made it easily, even for top 5 but I'm sorry but her gown drowned her. I'm glad that all the so called Pageant Predictors are proved wrong. India is new flag bearer of Asia, Reclaiming its powerhouse position.

1. Haiti had a solid prelim--she was one of my dark horses.
2. Laos--kudos on potentially winning the popular vote; her English is proficient and likely had a solid interview.
3. Canada--I believe her interview saved her, as her prelim performance was underwhelming for me. She was my biggest surprise.

My top 16 had Aruba, Mexico, Jamaica and Thailand. I always felt celeste was under pressure or bit nervous. She looked less confident compared to her national competition.

Wanting to mention this now some of the comments came from toxic filipino fans that India will be clapping backstage , now finally the tables turned and tells, shows everyone who actually cried and clapped for India.. I'm genuinely not hating on their delegates but Filipinos fans really into the nerves with their toxicity just for the name of peagent.. seems like country has nothing to do with other than peagent and singing.
