The truth is that a life of violence is hard, exhausting, paranoid, scary and traumatizing. Always looking over your shoulder, never able to truly relax or be free for fear of sudden attack or vulnerability. Nobody would want this if they had a clear choice beforehand, it's a sad life outcome. I've known many violent males who are raging bulls when they're young. They've all ended up sad washed up and broken people once to he youth wears off. Father time is not kind to you if you're not kind to yourself or others.

I had a buddy, in college, that would always yell things like "He's got a gun" or "No dont shoot" when the fighting started. The first time I witnessed this, the cops showed up and all the bystanders (outside a college bar) were yelling the guy on the ground has a gun. They jumped on him and we slipped into the shadows. I was like, I cant believe he had a gun. My buddy was just like, he didnt have a gun. If you start yelling that at least one witness is going to say they heard him say it. If there are no witnesses it becomes your word against his. My buddy was kind and gentle until he wasnt. He stomped on their hands, arms, and lower legs and would be yelling the whole time about how scared he was and couldnt risk stopping. I witnessed this three times. His theory on stomping those body parts was, they wont die but when hands, ulnas, and fibulas are broken they will think twice before starting another fight. I watched him punch a guy in the collar bone (can be a dangerous injury) rather than the face. His whole deal was he wanted to hurt them because the next guy might not be able to defend themselves so prevent a next time through pain and suffering. He had the ability to be brutal and aware. He never lost control. I was a trained fighter and have trained fighters for 30 years. I was nowhere near in control of my emotions like he was. I use him as the example for my students why you avoid fighting if at all possible. Run if you have to because their are guys like him without the kindness.

My two cents coming from that mindset (only restraining myself because not wanting to go to jail) - drop it.
I sadly (because of dumb close family) got in contact with the type of criminals you see in these videos. One day I was attacked by one (he was drunk and drugged) who also threatened to "make a call" to clean me up. I fought and defended but didn't go all in because the whole street saw it despite being 1 am and I didn't want to get arrested. I quickly regretted and the next day while that rat was sober, I picked some "utilities", and right there on the street where I was attacked the night before I went after him without caring that neighbours might call the police again. Tge best thing you can do with this type of scum is to be willing to kill that rat at the spot and to make that very vividly clear. Remember this for every real life situation. The police will never be there to save your life, nor will the "justice" system. Prepare yourself mentally daily to use violence so brutal because you will need it. Criminals don't care about anything or anyone else, neither should you care about them when they think they can claim your life.

Yes, I always say this, but don't underestimate anyone. Especially people visibly not afraid to go to jail, if they look like they're about that they probably are.
I got into a fight with a gang member. Fortunately I got the better of him, lucky I have a chin on me because he got a very nice sucker punch. Could have been very different if it was one the button or just a bit harder. He was talking the whole time I was beating him, really annoying.
My mind set is essentially, be prepared to fight.... for a long time. Any plans they have you want to chuck a wrench into. Ideally you want to end it fast, but be prepared for a grind.

This video echoes stuff I read from Rory Miller a couple of decades back. It echoed a truth that I knew but failed to acknowledge. I long ago tried to share this mindset with a couple of ego-driven friends of mine who were all too willing to turn to violence when they were challenged. One of them ended up with a cracked skull from a stupid club fight that ended up with a bunch of steroided bouncers taking out their aggression just because they could. I've been lucky to get to this point without worse repercussions to my younger stupidity. I've seen that the only time for violence is when I'm defending myself from a serious threat and not subconsciously questioning my motivation. There are many cold-blooded fuckers out there and the "good guy" is always at a disadvantage unless the righteousness of self defense provides for a space in which unrestrained violence can release.

Excellent video. Its sad to see potential Absolutely squandered. He made a choice based on the environment that he came from I understand that . I came from a similar environment.... And if not for the creator moving me
in another direction ...I could have been one of the dead friends or an enemy or a dead Enemy.. That's that life ...the lesson to take from this is watch your children too ...don't don't let the streets raise them and make sure your "narrative" the is the one influence that really matters. The "streets" are always eager to consume you..if given the chance...

Respect and Fear are 2 totally different things. Respect goes a long way. When people fear you they will hurt you. There's so much that goes on behind those walls the average human can't comprehend. And there's nowhere to hide. Even the guards are in on more than meets the eye. Also these moments in life can be very humbling. Calm, quiet, composed people usually are more capable than the loud ones.

There's nothing cool, fun or glamorous about gangbanging. That's it. It's a lifestyle that's permanent. There is no switching up, no taking breaks, none of that shit. Prison ain't fun. Walking the streets during the day ain't even enjoyable. And, majority of the time, there's no real money in it because it's going into the hands of someone higher ranked than you. All that shit on the television; forget about it. You better be prepared to take a life because someone can take yours at the drop of a hat.

I have never experienced a beat down nor have I ever thrown a punch at anybody and if somebody did punch me I would have turned and run. Also let's not forget that successful self defense skills against these guy's can end up in vendetta/beef etc. Sometimes we have to make those decisions. Sometimes compliance and compromise is best. Unless we're defending our loved ones. I have known guy's like that in a few countries and the same guy could be make us their victim or their friend depending on our interactions.
IE one day at about 3AM I had a bad phone conversation with a toxic family member on a street in Brazil. I was angry, drunk, and stupidly kicked the blue phone shelter. I had noticed the guy calming down the middle class residential street.
He passed me with a not so friendly look.
A few days later he showed me a pistol and told me he nearly shot me. I offered him and his uncle a beer and a few more. Apart from that his influence saved a silly Scandinavian who was going into the local favela to have liaisons with a woman whose man was in prison. A carload of guy's were looking for him and he got home in one piece. A long time ago.
