But then, get this!, many iPhone Models are ID-Locked on their parts. Which means that, even if the same component (even an unimportant one) is replaced without the BIOS being modified (which only Apple has legal access to), the device simply won't boot up. Now you see what Apple and other companies are willing to commit to keep their profit margins high.

The iPhone 11 is a modern 3310. I own one and the amount of abuse it’s gotten without signs of degradation are amazing. It’s been thrown, dropped, hit etc. but nothing seems to damage it.
