If I plan to go to Australia I have to spend AUD 120 per person on visa, if a Australian is planning to came to Brazil e will spend less than USD 50. I don't think its fair. But we welcome every tourist that came to Brazil, from every country, we do our best to the tourist enjoy the trip.
I'm Thai and we need Visa to get in most countries in the world outside East Asia. However, we don't need it if we want to travel in Brazil. That's a bit weird!
Great video! Sure hate that you guys won’t be going to Brazil. Maybe another time, anyway we absolutely love your channel!! We have just started full time travel and we’re absolutely loving it 😍😍 Thx for many great tips. Safe travels
Bolivia again ! but this time, you should go to Santa Cruz, the eastern side, it's totally different what you guys have seen about Bolivia, different culture, weather etc so it's very tropical, you could visit Güembé national park, Lomas de arena, jesuits buildings in villages, enjoy the city you'll really enjoy for sure
+Guilherme we understand that! I just think Brazil needs to make it easier to get said visa. But looks like they thought so too and have now changed the process to make it a lot easier!
I would not call it "reciprocity" , I'd call it being dumb honestly (I love Brazilians but not their government)...reason is Brazil is a much poorer country than Australia so they need tourists which bring money , this way you make it hard to bring them in, Australians might love Brazil for example but would not live there (most of them) for obvious reasons, on the other hand there's many Brazilians who would move to Australia, did you know for example that the crime rate is much higher in Brazil than Mexico? So a visa for Brazilians entering a country like Australia makes sense cuz if they cant prove they are well-off in Brazil or have economical ties or interests in Brazil then chances are they might wanna illegally immigrate somewhere else.
You'd call it wrong then. The thing is Brazil does not need Australia for anything on this earth. I wanted to be precise here, so I checked the data (you can do so too at the Anuario Estatistico do Turismo at file:///C:/Users/filip/Downloads/Anuario_Estatistico_de_Turismo_2017.pdf). In 2015, before waiving the Visa and in a non-Olympic year, 44.896 Australian came to Brazil. In 2016, the year of the games in Rio, and when the visa was waved, a total of 49.809 Australians visited the country. A roughly 11% increase, totaling around 5 thousand visitors, in a country that receives 6.6 million tourists a year, and in which more than 50 million locals travel nationally every year. Tourism represents about 3.5% of the Brazilian GDP (more than 70 billion USD in 2013), and while foreign tourism represents less than 6.5 billion USD of those 70 B, Australia is pretty much a drop in a bucket. Even if a lot of Australians were coming to Brazil, considering it's minuscule population (less than 25 million), it'd make little difference to us here. Besides, considering Australia is so far from us, and it's small market, it makes little sense to do stupid measures such as waiving the visa (that weakens our foreign policy) to try to get Australian here... it'd make more sense to try to bring Russians (we have a reciprocrate visa-waiving program with Russia), since that country at least has a different weather; or, better yet, western Europeans, with whom we already had a reciprocal visa-waiver agreement (especially considering even Switzerland is sending more tourists our way than Australia). Now, the point is: Brazil doesn't need to undermine its foreign policy to bring tourists, much less from Australia. I'd claim even American tourism isn't worth that much, though, since we are such a big country and so far from the US and American tourists are just going to Mexico anyway if they want a Latin-American experience. We are far better off counting and partnering with countries that trade and have a foreign policy that treats us as equals, like our neighbors (that send more than 55% of all our foreign tourists), Asia and Europe. Btw, tourism is never going to develop Brazil, so yes, i am against that idea and I don't think it is going to help anyone but Australians, Americans etc that want to come here. And, in the end of the day, Brazilians spend twice as much overseas as tourists spend here, so I don't really know why we should waiver their visas, and not the other way around.
Wow I've never seen Argentina before, and it looks like a beautiful place! Really enjoyed this vlog, and I am still binge watching your videos because I'm obsessed :') I don't have any suggestions for south america, but I think in the future you should visit South Korea or Taiwan next- both such great places with so much to explore and so much culture! (P.s Jess is so beautiful)
Fellow Perth homie here !!! when are use coming back to Aus, and any advice for a young youtuber just starting out, priorities etc PS Also would LOOVVEEE if you could go to the Faroe Islands (Denmark), or if you want to roadtrip Aus.. Karijini is a hidden gem up in the Pilbara I think could make for some great content
Colombia and Ecuador would be cool!! You guys love coffee... Colombia is home of the coffee bean!! And Galapagos island in Ecuador right? Get your David Attenborough on 🐢🐬
Guys! I hope this doesn't sound mean but it's pronounced empanada with n, there is no tilde to make the "y" sound. What you're saying means something something else entirely.
The ice cream flows from one ice cream shop in one city to the next!!! The wedding diet it be over haha Just love to see it all because you are having so much fun doing it all happy days xxxx
I've been following you guys for quite sometimes in the background. I just can't resist to say that you two have come a long way. Your journey started from a young adult to ......look at you now. Jessica is now a ladier... hahahahahahaha
You guys should do the Carretera Astral( ir is it Austral?) In Chile!!! Is really beautiful and for what i can see on vlogs, is totally worth It. Btw, when you guys come to Brazil, please visit the entire country, we have *a lot* of beautiful places (Go in at least one state per region!!)
If you go to Leticia, Colombia (on the Amazon River) you can freely walk into Tabatinga, Brazil. It's such a remote location that there are no border guards along the Colombia/Brazil border. No visa required. :)
Please come to Chile!! There´s a lot to see in this country beacuse since it is very long, there are a lot of different weathers in the different cities!
you seem to be enjoying south America. you guys are all lit-up 🔥 know why I can't give you a suggestion? I get to know places through your vlog . lovely work
Would love to see you guys in Brazil one day 🇧🇷 Rio de Janeiro ❤️ btw brazilians love children so it would probably be easy with Hunter one day, who knows 🤷🏻♀️💕
I love your videos. They really help me plan my trips😊If one day you come to Brazil don't miss FERNANDO DE NORONHA It is an island in the the state of Pernambuco in the northeast region of the country. Please, at least read about it It's the paradise on earth.
It'is sad that you guys can not come to Brazil because of its stupid bureaucracy (Yeah, we have bureaucracy for everything here). But S.A.is giant and there is a lot of other amazing places to go here, have u gone to Colômbia? Medellin looks to be a nice place to visit and a lot of history as well. And if u guys are looking to some place to relax some Caribbean island in Venezuela or Colombia can be a good option.
The most frustrating thing is that starting from December you can just arrive in Brazil and recieve a visa on arrival... but we will be gone from South America by then :(
Lucas Dias Oliveira the visa requirements have (had) to do with reciprocity not bureaucracy. It is funny that the same requirements applied and indeed still do apply to Brazilians who want to visit their home country. But that is not a concern, I guess...
I agree with the reciprocity process that Brazil applies to Visa. The problem is that Brazilian can get Electronic Visa to go to Australia (no need interview or a stamp in passport, and the whole process is online), but the other way did not apply, to get the Brazilian Visa Austrians should deliver they passport to the embassy. But looks like that it has changed and the process simplified in last month.
I would love to see u traveling in Costa rica or Guatemala... I love your vlogs so much!! My dream is to travel all over the world:) can u do a video about how u started and how do u earn the money? love u from Israel!
Man, To get into Brazil you don't need a visa. Come by the road, and transpass the Amizade's Bridge by foot, then you'll never need to show your passports to anyone, its a total mess here.
pai mengo I guess you live in Rio... Go down, pass some time at Parana and you will know how eficient our customhouse is.... And man, its sad to say but we need accept, our country is wonderful but if you have a chance to live in other countries, embrace the opportunity
GO TO BRAZIL, TAKE A LOCAL BUS TO THE BORDER CITY NO NEED FOR VISA, THE LOCAL BUS OR TAXI WILL TAKE YOU FOR A TWO HOUR OR ALL DAY TRIP TO A BRAZIL BORDER TOWN. LOVE FROM HENRY FOR THE LADIES, HI TO THE MALE
If I plan to go to Australia I have to spend AUD 120 per person on visa, if a Australian is planning to came to Brazil e will spend less than USD 50. I don't think its fair. But we welcome every tourist that came to Brazil, from every country, we do our best to the tourist enjoy the trip.
Australia is quite expensive too so it explains why the visa is on the higher side.
I'm Thai and we need Visa to get in most countries in the world outside East Asia. However, we don't need it if we want to travel in Brazil. That's a bit weird!
I love the idea that you last minute plan - It would make me crazy stressed but what a way to travel! Ultimate freedom!
Great video! Sure hate that you guys won’t be going to Brazil. Maybe another time, anyway we absolutely love your channel!! We have just started full time travel and we’re absolutely loving it 😍😍 Thx for many great tips. Safe travels

but this time, you should go to Santa Cruz, the eastern side, it's totally different what you guys have seen about Bolivia, different culture, weather etc

you'll really enjoy for sure
when you come to 🇧🇷 we are waiting for you in rio 💚
You should do Patagonia! Ushuaia, Glacieras, Puerto Varas and Santiago. ,
Brazilians need a tourist visa to get in Australia either. It's called reciprocity...
+Guilherme we understand that! I just think Brazil needs to make it easier to get said visa. But looks like they thought so too and have now changed the process to make it a lot easier!
engraçado né? pro brasileiro ir para o país deles tem que ser difícil, para eles virem para o nosso tem que ser fácil...
Flying The Nest well, the new (unelected) government thought so but the foreign ministry is not very pleased with that, nor are most Brazilians.
Now you can go to Brazil, you do not need visas anymore.
Unbelievable they don't give you a visa to enter Brazil. :( What great promotion would it be if you could vlog about their beautiful country .
YOKL they probably didn't apply in proper time... It's not that they don't give a visa, it's just that it takes time for a visa to be given...
F. OPE that might be the case. I thought that you get a visa on arrival in Brazil to be honest.
one day Hunter will get these randomly on her recommendations too
Go to Ecuador Colombia and Uruguay
Don’t be shy, come to Brazil
Man, To get into Brazil you don't need a visa. Come by the road, and transpass the Amizade's Bridge by foot, then you'll never need to show your passports to anyone, its a total mess here.

I’m surprised that you need visa to Brazil.
they are changing it in a couple of weeks were Australians can just apply online! wish they changed that earlier!
Rian Suganob Why surprised? Brazil based on the principles of reciprocity. Australia require visa for brazilian citizens. Brazil apply the same rule.
Me Fz oh is that the case? I was surprised because I am from the Philippines and we don’t need a pre-approved visa to enter Brazil.
they've already launched it www.vfsglobal.com/brazil-evisa/ and according to the website it should take you 5 business days to get your visas ;)
It s a reciprocal politics, cause Brazilians need a visa to go to Australia as well =]
Poor dog, he wants to be adopted or be given food. He is hungry of food and love. Poor thing.
Yeah seeing that ruined the video for me. Made me feel sad.
