Thank you for the wonderful video. My wife and I just had our firstborn boy a few days ago. We just learned he has hip displasia, so it’s such a gift to hear your girl’s story. Hopefully our son’s story will mirror hers in full recovery!
Thank you for sharing your journey. I am so glad I found your story even though it happened a year ago, its so relevant to my journey as my baby is two weeks into the treatment. I am so encouraged. Very hard to adjust to but like you said, its for my baby's wellbeing and it will help her big time in the future. Thank you again.
Thank you very much for watching, and I am so happy this video has been relevant to you. I know it's not an easy journey, but hopefully, you will forget the harsh details very soon. For us now, it seems ages behind, even though I am always stressed about how she holds her legs or trying to have follow-ups with the doctors. But still, the overall story is just a distant memory. All the best!🤗🤗
MY Baby girl also diagnosed with HDD when she was 2 days old. it has been treated fully when she was 2 months old. doctor told us to loose brace since her hip was fully recovered as per them. she is. 11 months old now but hadn't started walking on her own yet. But I am worried. i hope she walks properly on her own and doesn`t have limp or anything. and Thanks for sharing your experience.
She is not behind, don't worry, even children that were not born with HDD can have delays. So if there is no other sign for now, don't worry. But your mother instinct knows best, so if you suspect there is something wrong, go for another scan.
Thank you very much! Now I am ok, mostly because its a thing of the past ... it was very hard at the beginning, and you know that question...why is it happening to me and to my sweet baby that has just come to the world... but I am positive and happy that it's over and I want to share this light at the end of the tunnel with other parents who are going through this.
Thank you very much for your support! We are very happy to hear our videos can bring a smile! Hopefully this hard experience will be the hardest thing Luna has to go through in her life, and everything else will be easy to handle.
My son is 5months old today and he was recently diagnose of this. Am texting while crying because the doctors didnt diagnose this from day 1 and me being a 1st time mom have been seeing this but never knew it was a problem . The worst is everymonth we have appointment to see pediatric i wonder what she s been checking. I blame myself😢 and i believe is not too late. Next week am going to see the orthopedic surgeon😢. Thanks for the vidio
I am so sorry you are going through this, I know how difficult it is! But we have to be strong to be there for them. One way or another you will get over this and it will be a distant memory. The only thing that I would suggest is don't wait too much longer, try and advocate for your baby as much as you can, and push for him to be seen as soon as possible! Good luck and all the best to your little one!
Thank you for sharing your journey. Your video gave me the strength that my baby girl and me can do it to. She was diagnosed hip dysplasia from she born at the end of September . I was c section because she was breech and She spent 10 days in NICU for low sugar and jaundice cause her weight born was big. 10 pounds 4.0 oz. To much going on and we have to check her many time to hospital for check up again after discharge from hospital for low sugar and bilirubin to make sure they are still normal. And When she is 1 n half month after, finally got call for her appointments to ultrasound her hip and they Sent us to Shriners children hospital for treatment . She starting in Pavlik harness when she was 2 months and it’s been 3 weeks now. She had hard time in the first week using pavlik harness cried a lot but right now she used to it and fine . I pray for my baby girl treatment will be successful too just like yours. We have appointment tomorrow for check up 3 weeks for her new harness because she is growing and when in 6 weeks with harness she will have ultrasound again to see the progress. btw Thank you again and I’m Glad found your video.
I am so happy my video gave you hope. I can tell you that just yesterday we checked Luna's hips, she is 2 years and 7 months now, and everything was perfect! I do hope this will be your outcome too, with no other intervention needed!
I appreciate your kind words and good documentation. You gave me strength❤ My doctor said my daughter has the same as your daughter, he said regarding the time it is "not too early and not too late". Can you help me please understand the severity of your daughter’s case so I can assess my baby girl (eight-week-old)? From 1 to 5 where 5 is the most severe case. Were there any risks discussed of the Pavlik Harness?
Hi! I am so sorry that I have missed your message. I would say Luna’s case was about 3.5 severity given your scale…. She was born both a dislocated hip and the other dislocateable, meaning that it would pop out under pressure. There were no risk as far as I know, just that the treatment might not be enough or that the baby might develop nerve palsy and you might not be able to continue the treatment with it. I know it has been a months since your message so I am wondering if you did end up doing the palvik and if your daughter has any progress? All the best and speedy recovery with no complications!
I am so sorry to hear that, and that it's the exact reason I hope her intervention was successful and we will not need anything else in the future regarding this.
Hi! You should discuss this with your doctor, for us, they allowed to take it off just for 15-20 min a week to take a bath. There are doctors who will allow it every 2-3 days, and others who will insist in not taking it out at all, depending on the infant's condition.
thanx for kind your information, I am having this problem with my baby Girl 😢, he is 15 days old, doctor has given belt now, how many hours you used to take off the belt please tell how many hours you used to wear it.
Hi. Luna wore the Pavlik harness for non stop for almost 3 months. She was only allowed to be taken out of the harness 2 times a week for 15-20 min to have a fast bath, nothing else. But please follow your doctor's instructions, he should know best for your particular case. I hope your daughter will recover soon and not need any other intervention.
Hi, @roxandluna Thanks a lot❤ Your supporting information It's really helpful me. I got inspired from you❤ Godbles me My Princess now all ready Ok ❤ she tourn to 11months now❤ If you don't mind plz give me your fb account. 🙏
Hi My GP told me at 2 weeks that baby has possible positive Ortolani test in right hip And give us ultrasounds scan and orthopaedic surgeon appointment at 6 weeks. Please suggest me I have to buy harness by myself or should I have to wait more for three weeks First time parents It’s heartbreaking 💔 Please help me in this regard
The problem is you can not put the harness yourself, you could be doing more harm if it's not necessary or done the wrong way. You need to find a specialist. I would suggest to try amd push for the appointment earlier or find someone else where you could do it earlier. Another thing doctors say sometimes is to put a double diaper. So on top of the regular one, add another one, this will force their legs apart a bit, and if it's not very serious it can help them get in the right angles.
How long was your baby in the harness ? My baby was diagnosed at 4 months, it’s been over a month now that she’s been wearing the harness but doctor said 1 more month..it’s just so frustrating..😢
Can a baby move their legs during Pavlic harness? Can a baby straight their legs? My baby straight their legs not down but straight on left and right side Is it ok or harmful?
Yes, they will often kick their little legs on the side... as long as the knees are up and on the proper position, the lower part of the leg should not affect the result
Yet again, I am not a doctor, just a mom who has been through this experience herself. If you do feel there is something wrong about how things look like, please do not hesitate to contact your doctor.
Thank you for finding the strength to support not only your baby, but also all other parents.
Thank you very much for your beautiful words (as always)! I do hope this video will help other parents that go through this...

Thank you very much! I think other people need to know about this, as there is not too much awareness about DDH
Hard work but satisfying...well done!
It was not easy, but luckly we are passed it! Probably it would have not been as easy to share if it was still ongoing

My 3.5 yrs old baby face Same problem We have done surgery on our baby because of this problem, we found this problem only when he was 3 years old.
De fapt, viața este un șir neîntrerupt de experiențe.
Mao bine, mai rele, dar toate contribuie la formarea noastră
I was born with this 40 years ago. My hips are agony every day. Difficulty walking etc. 😢

Appointment for orthopaedic or for ultrasound
I will try to use second diaper
@@Urlt the scan is important to properly diagnose, so I would push for that first and then woth that in hand push to see the specialist I guess...
Why u cover your baby at the last of video ?
How can I contact u personally bcz I don't want to discuss with everyone
Hi Farah, you can contact me on my instagram, @roxandluna -the same name as here. There you can send me a private message 😊
